Part Wolf

Chapter 455 - 455: Milady

Chapter 455 – 455: Milady

As soon as the doors closed, the goddess's expression changed. It went from a disappointed frown to a shocked gasp. Her eyes shifted to her shaky hands as she raised them towards her. She hoped he hadn't noticed the flow of magic between them. That could further complicate her plans.

Luna sat down on the edge of the large king-sized bed with the thick white blanket around her chest, pooling at her feet like silk. Flexing her fingers, she hovered them over her chest, releasing the magic within. A burst of white filled the room, blinding her for a second.

Her jaw dropped, feeling the intensity of the energy. The magic she had lost to him had returned to her two-fold, flowing through her bloodstream like a gushing river. The goddess waved a hand, sealing some of it back within her body. She didn't want the wolves guarding her door to panic and rush in, she thought to herself. But how did that happen?

Luna started pacing back and forth across the room, her brows knitted deep in thought. She flexed her fingers again, watching the static of her magic create little sparks of electricity, lighting the contours of her pale face in shades of bright blue. Suddenly she stopped in her tracks, her brows shooting up in surprise as a warm feeling rushed through her head.

'Master!' a familiar voice rang in her head, full of excitement.

The goddess gasped. "It's you!" she exclaimed, shocked at the familiar voice.

'Boo-hoo master!' The Tohar Sehlah burst out in emotion. 'How I missed you!'

Luna's face was a mixture of surprise and joy. At last her lonely days had come to an end! The stones had returned! She thought excitedly. But the mystery of it all puzzled her. From what she could gather, Liam was still bereft of the memories of the soul shard that he was carrying inside him.

There was no way that he could channel magic consciously in that state, even if he wanted to. After all, she could see that he was a wolf through and through in his current form. Was there something that she had missed? She wondered, thinking back hard about each and every contour of his body.

"Where were you all along?" She asked, almost subconsciously, to the stone, her mind still wandering around the sweaty body of the Alpha.

Could it be? Was it possible that his touch was the reason behind all this? She wondered, unconsciously drawing her teeth over her lower lip. Blood rushed into her cheeks painting her expression shy. Flashes of the heated moments they shared pushed into her mind, making her heart race without an effort.

Luna shook her head, wiping the thought off of her mind. No, it couldn't be, she said to herself, starting to pace back and forth in the room once again. She remembered having been healed drastically when she had woken up a while ago. A lot of magic had returned to her before they had even initiated any form of heated contact.

But she couldn't think about anything else at the moment. What had she missed? She thought, a frown pulling down the corners of her lips.

'It's all your fault, master!' The Tohar Sehlah's voice pushed through her mind, interrupting her thoughts. 'How could you forget about yourself like that and push almost all of your magic into the shard? I was almost about to shatter because of your selfishness.' The stone complained, its voice turning shrill like that of a whining child. 'I was lost in a sea of darkness for so long that I thought we were going to die. Boo-hoo."

The goddess raised her brows. "Wait, what?" She asked, surprised that she had gone to such an extent and had not been conscious of it. That was when she noticed something else. She could only feel one of the stones. Luna frowned. "How did you come back? And where is the Dam Sehlah?" She asked, closing her eyes to prod around her mind, in case that she was mistaken.

The white stone laughed nervously, guilt dripping off of his shaky voice. 'I took the first opportunity to heal when your magic returned, master. That white stone must still be unconscious.' It said, failing in its attempt to sound casual about it. Sensing the deepening frown of the goddess, it was quick to change the topic. 'By the way, where are we?' The stone asked curiously.

Luna sighed, dispersing the worrying thoughts from her head. "Wolfbreak." She answered, her frown curving up into a smirk.

'What?!' The Tohar Sehlah exclaimed, shocked at the statement. But knowing the goddess's temper, it was quick to lower its voice. 'You came to take the shard?' It asked, the question barely a squeak.

She shook her head. "No, Liam was the one who brought me here," Luna answered, his beautiful face flashing in her mind.

Her heartbeat picked up instantly as the remnants of the heated moment they had shared only a few minutes before, filled her thoughts. The man was no less in this form she thought, licking her lips hungrily. The setting sun cast a golden light through the window of the palatial room, enveloping its warmth around the frame of the aroused goddess scantily wrapped in silk.

'Who is that?' The Tohar Sehlah asked, sounding clueless.

"The shard," Luna replied, her voice a bare whisper.

She shuddered, thinking back to the way his tongue slid around her hardened nipples as his fangs pierced through them, drawing blood. His throaty chuckle rang in her head, quickening her breath. Her hands slid down her body, her fingers grazing the throbbing area between her legs unconsciously.

The yearning for the wolf was fast getting to her like a fly caught in a web. But instead of panicking, she was waiting for the spider to come and consume her whole. She wanted him to-

'No!' The Tohar Sehlah's panicked voice echoed through her head. 'Master, you have to remember that he is only a shard. You can't fall in love every time you see one of them.'

Luna chuckled, raising her wet fingertips to her face. "What can I do?" She asked, lust sparkling in her eyes. "Even a shard of his soul is enough to move me."

The white stone grunted in annoyance. 'Focus on the mission, master. We need to get the shard and move on to the next timeline.' It reminded, trying to nag some sense into her. 'The war is soon approaching. How many days had I been asleep?'

The goddess sighed, shaking her head. "Today is the fourth day measuring by earth's time." She replied, stepping out of the pool of silk in all her naked glory.

'Three more days, master. We can't spend more than that in this timeline if you want to get back to the spiritual realm in time.' The Tohar Sehlah said as the goddess stretched lazily in the now darkening room. 'And you still don't have enough magic left in you to open the portal.'

"You nag a lot," Luna said, turning towards the huge oak doors expectantly. The shuffle of footsteps was now more apparent than before.  She could sense that the wolves who were guarding outside were having quite a hard time holding themselves back from howling with lust. "But you have a point." She said, picking up a scrap of her torn dress from the floor.

She had hardly wiped her wetness off of her when the doors flew open. The goddess hastily waved her hand, sealing the rest of her magic within her in a hurry. The heavy doors shut close, leaving no room for the men outside to even catch a glimpse of her. The women laden in shades of white and cream had their eyes downcast as they walked quietly towards the curtained room to her left.

Steam rose off of the tubs they carried. Neither one of them bothered to greet her or give her any explanation as they poured the hot water into a pristine jade tub. Luna watched the wolves work with a puzzled expression. She slowly leaned towards the floor, wanting to pick the blanket, fully aware of her nakedness.

Just as her hands grazed the pool of silk, an older woman stepped forward from the group, her eyes now on the awkward goddess.

"Please step into the tub," the woman said, and with much hesitation, added, "milady."
