Chapter 109: What's wrong with the referee?

Chapter 109: What's wrong with the referee?

The force behind his attack was so great that the terrorist flew to the benches.

Immediately after, the body of the magic grandmaster expanded to ten times its size. Then, he exploded, causing a mess of hot blood, shards of bones, and squishy pieces of organs to rain down on the people nearby.

“You shouldn’t have said those words if you didn’t want to be disrespectful.”

The red-haired man said in a calm voice after taking the life of the terrorist, trying to delude the crowd from knowing that the man he killed was in fact a member of the serpentine devil. If it was to be known, then the entire city would fell into a panic. Parents might just forcefully take their children out of the academy. The citizens would start living in constant feat, and much more. All of which could lead to problems for the magician association that already has its hands full.

That’s why he lied through his teeth.

The magic grandmaster died right in front of their eyes.

The crowd was instantly horrified.

“Murderer!” Instantly, everyone fell into a panic.

“He killed a magic grandmaster so easily and just because he disrespected him a little. Won’t he target us too? We don’t stand a chance against him.”

“If you want to live, run for your lives!”

Most of those who stood up to shoot Elliot down either sat back on their seats or made a run for it to escape the red-haired madman. They pushed each other, throwing one another onto the floor, stomping on the ones who have fallen to the ground, and even mercilessly pressing on their bodies to get out of the benches.

Elliot, Theo, and John stood near the person who committed cold-blooded murder in broad daylight, silently watching the drama and the hypocrisy of the members of the magician community that came here to watch the tournament and were pointing fingers at Elliot just a few moments ago.

“Everyone calm down!” Headmaster Gerald said, and as if his voice contained a mystical power, the people sweating buckets and running wild like dogs calmed down.

“This elder here is Master Seer. I’m sure many of you have already heard about him. Yes, he’s the fourth elder of the magic association, more famously knows as one of the greatest appraisers and clairvoyants in the world. So, why would he lie for the sake of a boy he has no relation with? As for why he killed him, ask yourself, didn’t he deserve it? Disrespecting anyone of the seven elders who paved the path for humanity along with the four Emperors is punishable by death! Don’t let bad judgment cloud your rationality. Elliot had won the fight fair and square! I hope that no alternate rumors spread out, or I will investigate it myself and do justice to the boy.”

Master Seer, everyone knows that this man had many connections as he wasn’t only one of the several saviors of humanity, but he was also able to predict the future and even appraise items.

He could kill indiscriminately because he was a high-ranking member of the magician association and held a lot of authority. Humiliating, doubting, insulting, or even disrespecting him meant a death sentence. Everyone knew that.

Everyone comforted themselves by telling themselves that the man who died was at fault as he did not use his eyes before offending Mount Tai!

“We understand, Headmaster!”

The people breathed in and out to calm down their racing hearts before saluting the headmaster respectfully.

Then, they turned towards the elder-ranked magician.

“Please forgive us for disrespecting you, Master Seer.”

The people who had talked back to him earlier dropped to their knees and hit their heads on the floor, pitifully begging for his forgiveness.

He didn’t even need to move to deal with them.

A single word from him could destroy their entire life.

Yet, they had foolishly doubted and offending him.

They deserved death, but none of them wanted to die.

Therefore, all of them tossed their pride out of the window and begged for his forgiveness.

Master Seer, an elder-ranked magician that basically runs the magician association, flicked his sleeves, telling them to shut up with his graceful action.

Master Seer focus shifted towards Elliot.

“Boy, you did great! Your inborn talent is far greater than I last saw you. It’s surprising to see that you’ve improved so much. Maybe their death became your motivation. Keep up the good work.” Master Seer said while looking at Elliot with a gaze that a senior would use to show respect to their juniors, and as he was using his magic, no one except for Elliot was able to hear what he said.

When he heard Master Seer’s words, Elliot’s eyes blinked in surprise.

“Elder magician, do I know you?” He asked while carefully looking at the chiseled face of the red-haired man.

Instead of giving him a reply, Master Seer turned around and started to walk away.

“Senior wait!” Elliot called out in a loud voice.

The onlooker felt that he was courting death by telling Master Seer to stop.

To their surprise, Master Seer turned around, looked at Elliot, and asked in a heavy voice containing hints of gentleness, “What is it?”

“Elder magician, thanks for standing up for me!” Elliot said with an amiable smile. He knew that if he had pressed on with the previous question, then he would surely get on the elder magician’s nerves, so he didn’t ask him about it.

“Elder magician, thanks for helping my friend.”

“Thanks for doing him justice.”

Theo and John added, showing their gratitude to the elder for his help.

“Umm, keep up the good work, youngsters!”

After giving them a few words and a nod of his head, Master Seer went away.

“Now it’s only the three of us, eh?” John said while looking at Theo and Elliot.

“You want to spar?” Elliot said, glancing at John.

John shook his head, “No thanks. you’re too strong.”

After saying that, he jumped out of the arena and landed on the spot outside of the arena’s boundary, which results in him getting eliminated.

“What about you? There’s a chance that you can win against me. After all, you’re my equal if you utilize the power of your eyes,” Elliot said while looking at Theo.

Theo calmly walked up to him, patted him on the shoulder, and then whispered the following words in his ears, “I only use them against my enemies, not my friends.”

Elliot smiled, but before he could even say something, Theo teleported out of the arena.

The onlookers only saw Elliot standing in the arena, yet instructor Leonardo still didn’t announce him as the victor.
