Awakened: Evolving to Godhood

Chapter 129: Gaining Answers (b)

Chapter 129: Gaining Answers (b)

Elliot’s eyes blink and he asked, “Then, how strong do I need to be?”

<You need over three hundred units of stamina and health point to survive infusing a single winged matrix with your flesh>

He was too far from that, and by the time he reached that stage, wouldn’t he already be as strong as a magic lord? Since he wanted to integrate the magic matrices into his flesh but couldn’t do so, he stored them in his subspace.

He shifted his attention to the screen in front of him.

[You can head to the next trial ground. If you want to go there, please say so. I will generate a portal that you can take to go to the Trial of Blood and Bones]

“Can you answer some of my questions?” Elliot asked while looking at the soulless copper statue with artificial intelligence.

[Yes, please do ask] A moment later, its reply came in the form of new words that appeared on the screen.

“Can you tell me about the winged-spirit race?” Elliot was too curious about this race, and he wanted to know about them.

[My creators live in the spirit world. They are as beautiful as the mighty Sun and the silver Moon. With pristine skin, bright and beautiful wings, and lips as red as blood, my creators are the most beautiful. The beauties of all races bow their head in defeat before them.]

Reading the words on the screen, the images of angels popped up in his mind for a split second, but then he wondered whether such beautiful existence could really exist or not.

“Please tell me about the spirit world.”

<My database has no information regarding the spirit world>

“Is there any way to go to that world?”

<My database has no information regarding this question>

“Hmm, how did you guys come to this world, and why did you set up a base here?”

[I do not know]

“Who can give me answers?*

[I don’t know]

“Ugh, do you know anything?”

[Yes, I know a lot of things.]

This shitty fucker! Elliot nearly punched it out of anger. He knew that this trash can had an answer to all of his questions, but for some reason, it wasn’t telling him! Maybe it was because it didn’t have any authority or that it wasn’t allowed to reveal such information to others. Anyway, Elliot was intent on getting more information out of the copper statue’s mouth, and thus, he decided to rephrase his words.

He released the hot air of anger from his chest and then asked, “You guys came to planet Xavier from the spirit world, right?”

[Yes]

“Then, how did you do that, traveling from one world to another?”

[First off, we determined and made sure of the coordination of this planet, then we inputted the coordination and a large amount of spirit energy into the teleporter, and it generated a spatial tunnel in the space of the spirit world, taking which we came to this planet.]

When he read the words on the screen and found out about the existence of teleporters, Elliot’s eyes widened in glee as he feels that he has taken a few steps closer to his goal of going to another planet.

“Teleporters? Is there any teleporter in this settlement?” He hurriedly asked.

[Who knows? There might be one in the most scheduled corner of the settlements.]

Elliot rubbed the corner of his chin as he pondered about the possibility of there being a teleporter in his settlement.

“Did the winged spirit bring a teleporter with them when they came to this planet?”

“If they did, then did they return to their world with it?”

“If they came here with a teleporter but didn’t return and somehow died, then there’s a high chance that the teleporter is still in this place.”

“Whatever. The only way to gain answers to satisfy my curiosity is exploring this settlement.”

He was confused about a lot of things, though, and couldn’t come up with an answer.

<Trial “Search for the Teleporter” has started>

<Explore the deserted settlement of the winged spirit civilization and find the teleporter or pieces of the teleporter>

<Completed: Find one teleporter or 100 of its pieces>

<Rewards: Coordination to the world of magic>

<Time Limit: 29 days>

<Remaining Time: 28 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes, 49 seconds>

Elliot was surprised to have a new quest but he didn’t let his emotion show on his face.

He calmly looked at the copper statue and asked, “Hey, who is the barrier spirit?”

He got the same reply that he hates the most. [ I don’t know]

“One last question, what’s the grade of rewards?” Since he got a high-level reward, the rewards were bound to be divided into different grades.

[The rewards for completing the trials of the winged-spirit race are divided into three categories, namely, the low-level reward, the medium-level reward, and the high-level reward. The better you perform, the better your reward.]

“I understand.” Elliot turned away from the copper statue and sat down on the ground.

[Are you not going to head to the next trial?]

Elliot shoots a glance at it, then said, “I don’t know.”

The artificial intelligence of the copper statue spewed out a mouthful of data from its mouth, knowing full well that he was taking his revenge. Somewhere far away from this corridor, the spirit of the barrier who was seeing everything also burst out in laughter.

Elliot took out the Body Nourishing Fruit and sank his teeth into it. When he bit out a piece of it, a mellow-like softness entered his mouth, and each time he chewed on it, a large amount of golden liquid burst in his mouth and went down his throat. One bit after another, the size of the fruit decreased until it was no more, and Elliot had eaten all of it.

<You’ve consumed the Body Nourishing Fruit>

<What would you like to obtain? Three hundred years of lifespan or ten units of the God’s Breath of Growth?>

“The latter.” Elliot instantly made his choice.

<You’ve gained ten units of the God’s Breath of Growth>

“Use them all to increase my agility,” Elliot ordered hope in his mind.

<Agility +10>

<Your Agility has increased to 35 units>

He immediately used the fruit as he no longer wanted to save it for later. It’s all because the very first encounter in this place was too dangerous. As for why he was saving it, it’s because he wanted to give it to an alchemist and ask them to turn it into a pill.

Pills made out of magical fruits are far better than consuming them raw, or at least, that’s what he had heard growing up in Hunter’s Dystopian City.
