Awakened: Evolving to Godhood

Chapter 131: Revenge on Old Hag (a)

Chapter 131: Revenge on Old Hag (a)

The onlookers tried to make out where he was, but they only saw him sitting beneath a fire-like light and endless darkness stretching behind him. Never in their entire life have they seen a place like this. Thus they failed to determine where he was.

“I wasn’t doing anything important. I would have stopped to listen to your call even if I was.”

“Mr. Joker, you’ve helped us so many times. What’s the need to ask for forgiveness? It’s only making us feel bad.”

“Mr. Joker, you can call on me anytime. Even if I am in the middle of the ocean, searching for treasure, I will still answer your call.”

Not even a single one of the hundred magicians raised a single voice of objection, and all of them were extremely respectful to him as he was too mysterious and powerful in their eyes. Not only was his wisdom great enough to identify any artifacts, but no matter how much they tried to investigate him, they came up with nothing!

“I have called you ladies and gentlemen hoping that you can fulfill your end of the deal.”

Elliot said those words in a calm voice. However, the listeners could sense the suppressed anger in it.

“Mr. Joker, please tell us your wish.”

“Although I know that some of you are more than enough, I hope that all of you can group up to kill Margerie Symeon.”

“Margerie Symeon? Who the heck of this person?

“I heard she is an early-stage magic lord.”

“A mere Lord of Magic?! How dare she offend our mighty Mr. joker?!”

“She is backed by the association, though.”

“I am a middle-stage Lord of Magic, and I also work for the association. I have more achievements than that old hag and also contributed a lot more than her. The association would take my side even if I kill her!”

The crowd erupted in an uproar, and Elliot took in their chatters while staying silent.

“May I ask why the honorable lord wants to kill her?” A voice sharp enough to make the listeners feel a sword hanging next to their necks sounded, and everyone quietened down as they didn’t want to interrupt the Sword Brows Gentleman.

Elliot was glad that the Sword Brows Magic Lord asked this question. Sword Brows Gentleman was a chad but a little too old to be called a middle-aged man. He was a sword maniac who had a wide collection of swords. He was also a weaponsmith and ran a weapon creation business.

“Sword Brows Gentleman, I am not a bloodthirsty creature that kills without a thought, but I wouldn’t mind killing the entire world if it threatens one of my own,” Elliot said in a voice too majestic and surreal to the ears of the listeners. “That brat (Old Hag) dared to take advantage of my youngest student and even tried to molest him. I would have already buried her and the officials of the association that turned a blind eye to her misdeeds a thousand feet below ground If I wasn’t worlds away from planet Xavier!”

“I understand. She indeed do deserve to die.” Sword Brows Gentleman said while thinking that Mr. Joker’s love for his youngest student is beyond measures.

The others wondered about the identity of his youngest student and thought that if they can entice him to become a part of their family, wouldn’t that mean automatically forming a relationship with Mr. Joker?

“Who is that lucky young man, Appraisal Lord?” Magic Lord Creek, an artisan and also an aesthete, said in a voice containing emotion of deep interest.

Of course, it wasn’t just hum but also many others that wanted to know the name and identity of Mr. Joker’s youngest student.

“He is a dragon amongst the younger generation. Although suppressed for a decade, with my guidance, his potential has already been unleashed. As the moon shift and the night tides rise to their greatest height, his fame would spread across the magician community. When that time comes, you’ll naturally know his name.” Elliot said while calmly sitting on the grey rocky floor with his legs crossed.

“Haha, nice poem, nice poem!” Sword Brows Gentleman said with a laugh and drank a cup of wine to show his respect to Mr. Joker.

“Since you’ve praised him so much, he must be a talent. I am looking forward to knowing who and how great your youngest student is.” Magic Lord Creek said.

Right at that very moment, the sweet voice of a magic grandmaster sounded out. Since everyone was quiet, they heard it.

“Honorable Lord, Joker, may I purpose something?”

Finding this voice very familiar, he turned to look at the screen that showed her face. It was a woman wearing a cheongsam that exposed one of her legs from her candy-like toes to her milky, white thighs and covered the rest of her body. His eyes widened as he was familiar with this vixen!

Elliot knew who this woman was as not only was she extremely beautiful with a curvy body, a pretty face, and a slim waist, but she and her eccentric husband has even offered him to have a streamy night with her if he ever so wanted to.

Of course, he decided. Although they came towards him without any ill intent, he refused to think using his lower head and risk his carefully crafted identity.

Anyway, she and her husband told him that they run an information agency and if he wanted information about any person or location, then he could come to them.

“Mistress of Flowers, Don’t hesitate to say what’s on your mind,” Elliot said, motioning the others to remain quiet and listen to her.

“Ahem!” Mistress of Flowers, a magic grandmaster running a relaxing teahouse called Chrysanthemum in the Hunter’s Dystopian City, cleared her throat before saying, “I know that I am merely a magic grandmaster, and there are a lot of people greater than me here, and I don’t even hold a candle against you, but please listen to what I have to say till the very end.”
