Chapter 325: Unlocking Door To The Treasury! (a)
"I must say, you're capable, more than most of the women and men I have come across in my 20 odds years of life," Elliot said to Freya in a voice full of honesty.
He had met s many people, but no one, not even Lisa, was as resourceful as the black star-like beauty next to him, and he was confident that only Grace could be her match in being helpful to him.
Freya realized that he had become her everything as one sentence from him made her heart jump up and down in joy. And because the being she worshiped praised her, a smile that made her ten times more beautiful appeared on her face.
Elliot, who was looking at her, felt troubled.
'She is smiling more and more often after I told her that she looks extremely beautiful with a smile. Why did I do such a stupid thing? With a smile, she can melt the coldest of heart and seduce the calmest of soul. Even I feel irresistible urges whenever she looks at me, such as right now.'
A person born too beautiful, that was what she was, and Elliot was finding it hard to resist the desire to keep this jade vase as a precious treasure in his house.
"My capabilities are limited, and I am not worthy of your praise, my lord," Freya said while blushing furiously.
Her God had praised her! So, she was super happy!
However, she didn't want him to waste his words on a pathetic dark elf like her.
She felt that she wasn't worthy of his time and words.
Elliot realized that she was suffering from a severe inferiority complex, and he patted her shoulder, saying the following words as he did so: "Don't lower yourself so much; it's not a good thing, and personally, I dislike it."
The skin under his palm was soft, and he feared that he might bruise them, so he suppressed his strength by a large margin. Freya felt his hand on her skin, and her heart raced exponentially. She counted that this was the second time he was touching her, and this time it was out of his own free will. His touch was gentle and warm, and she loved every second of it. She realized that this unbelievable feeling must be why the followers of god lights and the spider queen sat in the temple for days and worshiped their god nonstop so that they or their messiah or messenger would pat them and bless them.
"Since you, my lord, don't like it, I will stop being humble and accept your praise with a smile."
Freya immediately changed her mind because of a single sentence from him, and it made him realize how much control he had over her life.
Elliot didn't want to misuse his control over her.
Since she trusted him, he would not let her regret her decision.
"You're so capable that even I want you by my side, so don't sell yourself cheap in the future."
"I won't."
"If in the future I want you to work for me, what will be your answer?"
Elliot hadn't met many capable people.
However, they were what he needed the most.
Freya was competent as she had successfully obtained all the secrets of the spider queen even though she was just a magic word.
Thus, he wanted to pull Freya out of the high-elf sides and bring her to his side.
She would be an excellent addition to his fight against the invasion of the demonic gods back on Earth.
Although he didn't want to use a honey trap, he didn't mind seducing her if necessary.
"After defeating the spider queen and clearing the misunderstanding that people have about me, I am willing to follow you, my lord, for the rest of my life. I-I want to serve as your knight!" She speechlessly added forever at the end of her sentence.
Elliot nearly thought that she was going to propose to him.
Thankfully, she didn't.
Otherwise, he would have no choice but to break her heart and mend it afterward.
They chatted while taking one step after another, and with each, they stepped towards the inner parts of the seventh area. There wasn't any monster here either. Best yet, this place was free of traps. And so, they didn't encounter any danger.
After walking for some minutes, they came across a door. Freya tried to push it open, but for some reason, it didn't even budge. Her eyes widened, and a worried expression appeared on her gorgeous face.
"How about you tell me what is wrong, and we can come up with a solution together?"
"This is the entrance to the demonic crystal storage. Usually, my handprint would be enough to open it, but today, that is not the case. Either someone had detected our intrusion and my identity and changed the password, or the spider queen had put a lockdown in place, making it impossible for anyone except her and her king and four generals to access the storage rooms scattered all across the unholy necropolis." Freya explained.
Elliot scrutinized the ten feet tall door in front of him.
He found out many things about it.
The first he found out was that the material the spider queen used to make this door was so sturdy that neither she nor he could break them without exhausting themselves.
There was no way he could force his way through this door that was 100% immune to attacks made out of energy and 50% immune to physical and supernatural attacks.
The second was that many demonic locks were latching on to it, and unless he unlocked all of them, he wouldn't be able to open the door.
Freya had limited ability and strength, so she didn't know what truly was making it impossible for her to open the door.
Elliot, on the other hand, realized that as long as he unlocked the invisible demonic locks, he would open this door.
What he needed to do to unlock them was also simple.
