Chapter 327: Spider Queen's Scheme!
Chapter 327: Spider Queen’s Scheme!
While the swords were moving towards the newborn spiders, some of which were busy killing and consuming their brothers and sisters, Elliot snapped his fingers a second time. Immediately after, all the magic scrolls strapped to the flying swords released a blinding light.
They disappeared the next moment but not before setting all the flying swords aflame.
The fiery swords penetrated the bodies of all the spiders they encountered, and after burning their insides to dust, they came out of their back.
Then, they charged towards the spider-producing eggs, which were as defenseless against them as the newborn spiders.
It took him only eight minutes to destroy all the eggs and kill all the spiders in this area.
The swords set everything on fire, and the fire consumed them from the inside out and outside in, turning them into fried-chicken-like carcasses or dust-like ashes.
The newborn spiders were born with the strength of a magical realm monster. Thanks to taking down so many magical spiders, Elliot earned a massive haul of the essence of life once again. Destroying the spider-producing eggs didn't give him anything materialistic, but it indeed gave him a self of satisfaction by fulfilling his sadistic tendencies.
Elliot was feeling a bit too happy as it took him only minutes to set fire to several years of hard work of the spider queen!
The spider breeding ground in front of him had changed into a sea of fire.
Elliot raised his hand for a moment before bringing it down in a downward slash. A great burst of spiritual energy surged out of his palm. It looked like a vertical sword slash and shot forward like a shooting star, and it separated the sea of fire in front of him in two.
As a consequence of his action, a path appeared in the middle of the sea of the fire.
Elliot and Freya took that path to reach the fifth area. They came across many monsters in this place. Although they were weak and not even at the monster lord level, they were too many in numbers. To deal with them, Elliot created many 15ft tall anacondas using thousands of units of the essence of life and commanded them to spread out and kill any monster that enters their sight. Some minutes after the golden anacondas started wreaking havoc in this area, Kayn and all the other undead monsters also appeared here, and Elliot commanded them to join in on the party and aid his creation in their battle against the spider queen's dense army of undead skeletons, skeletal mages, and burly evil spirit knights.
All of them were so weak that Elliot's undead brethren and Elliot's creations destroyed them so fast that he and Freya didn't come across a single one even though they were traveling at their average speed.
After running for a while, they reached a wide area. It was dark. Freya lifted her arm, stretched out her hand, and opened her palm wide. Three fireballs shot out of her palm, splitting into many dots of fire, each shooting towards a torch attached to the walls.
The fire dots lit up the torches.
The light coming out of them forced the darkness to recede to the corners and illuminated most of the area.
Elliot finally had a good look at this place. There was a stone stele in the middle. It had weird symbols on it, and he found them very familiar. They shared many similarities with the teleportation inscription he had seen on many other places, such as the wall back in area fourteenth.
They went up to the wall. Freya took a dagger out from her inter-spatial hairpin, grabbed it, and brought it down to her palm. She pressed its sharp end on her soft, defenseless palm, cutting open a slightly deep wound from which her bright red blood flowed out and trickled down to the stone stele.
Drop by drop, Freya's blood dyed the symbol on the stone stele red.
The symbol absorbed her blood and then released a reddish, eerie light. As the ghastly glow receded, a swirling dark hole appeared in the middle of the stele.
"My lord, let's jump into it."
Freya and Elliot went through it, and their surrounding changed for the better. Here, the environment was still dark, but some luminance orbs hovering on top of thick and tall stands beside the street shed some light on the world.
Several patches of dark flowers grew around the sidewalk on which they were standing.
Elliot's eyes wandered off to the small icy pond near them. In the center of it, he saw a tall 20 feet tall lion. Its mane was on fire, or so he thought before he realized that blue fire was what made its mane!
Freya looked around, and her eye widened, and her body stiffened. There was confusion in her pretty eyes. She tugged at the end of Elliot's clothes.
He turned around and asked her, "What? Is something wrong?"
She bobbed her head back and forth, and as she didn't want to wake up the sleeping blue-flame lion, she said the following words in a faint noise, "My lord, I am not familiar with this monster, nor am I familiar with this place. Either It's not a part of the unholy necropolis, or the spider queen had kept this a secret from me. As for this monster, I feel scared just by looking at it. I think it is only slightly weaker than it is like the spider queen. I also feel scared and stiff when I am in her presence."
Freya could sense that the lord of the ice pond was strong, but Elliot could tell it. The blue-flame lion was a monster that possessed the same mystical fire as the Pill Emperor. It had ice-cold flames. Worst yet, it also had a monster realm that lets it teleport its subordinate directly to anyone in its vision!
It was a lord of a kingdom with tens of thousands of monsters under it, so obviously, this ability was far more than a cheat as it could summon all of them to attack Elliot at any time!
