Dale’s chest started to glow in faint light as he circulated Mana around his chest, completing one… Then two… Several circulations, each faster than the last.
A deadly torrent was forming.
‘… I can’t move my body, but I have an idea to rid myself of these binds.’
Dale took a look at the terminal.
‘My plan is simple, I just need to hit the damn button on the Terminal to send the message to the other side, having Testros and the old man cross over.’
‘While making sure the right combination is in place, but that I have memorized.’
‘Half a second is enough for me to do so…’
‘Still, if we cannot deal with this together, then it’s fate.’
‘But first, I need to move, and for that, I’ll do something I read in a book.’
‘Assuming this is Magic, unless the being in front of me has prowess that surpasses the natural laws of nature itself, if I make the Mana around me goes into chaos with my absurdly large supply of it, then the Spell Formulas of the Spell that bind my body will collapse.’
‘Even if they do not, they’ll be nulled, broken, or the Spell might go haywire and explode.’
‘Though, truthy, this is what I believe will happen, my basic knowledge about the theories surrounding magic is still precarious.’
‘Regardless, this will obviously cause great damage to me since what I’m doing is no different from what I did back in the Church…’
‘I’ll be forcefully causing my own body to experience Mana Overflow, and if I’m unlucky, it may turn into a Mana Void…’
‘My Mana Stat is over 50% larger then even when the Boon of Mana gifted to me by Ju-Arkesios was in effect, so I can only imagine what sort of reaction I might provoke if I gather it all inside my Heart once more…’
‘Maybe the stone David told me will form?…’
‘The other option would be to remain still and wait, but I have to as I have no idea what that creature’s plans are.’
‘It seems very much aware of our surrounds and what everything does… Through its words, this creature has likely been alive for a very long time, or it possesses knowledge of the outside.’
‘If it severs the connection, then I’ll be dead either way… If I act now, I may have some chances of living.’
‘The course of action I must follow is an obvious one.’
‘Once the Mana reaches a critical point, I’ll dash forward, and if there’s a need to, I’ll use Vital Heart to prevent my Heart from exploding.’
‘I won’t try to go out of my way to do it… But if necessary, I can grab Caladgolg and use one of its Skills directly at the creature.’
‘And albeit I’m scared at the potential environmental damage that may cause, I prefer that to my life, I’ll be apologizing to all future archeologists early…’
‘Doing so will also hopefully deal with my Mana Overflow, since if I use all of my Mana to activate one or multiple Skills of this Sword, then there won’t be any left to rampage inside my body.’
‘It should also deal with this… Thing.’
‘If even the Skill from this Legendary Armament doesn’t work… That’s that.’
‘I’m betting on the possibility that it’ll at least deal some damage to it.’
‘I could keep fighting to see if I can invoke the slumbering power of the Human Spirit or some bull like that, but I wouldn’t put my faith in that.’
‘In the end, I don’t even know what that is.’
‘It has no Challenge Rating, making me think its an NPC, but if it was, then I would’ve been able to at least see it’s name no?’
‘Just what is it?…’

With his plans set, he started to put them in motion, gathering his energies within himself as he prepared to blast everything apart!
“Hm?… What are you… Oh no… Young man…”
The creature turned its head as it noticed the chaotic fluctuations around Dale, and it immediately understood what he was trying to do.
“Are you trying to blow everything apart? Do you even have any idea of what you’re about to do?”
“… You seem rather calm.” Dale replied as he raised his head
‘If it noticed what I’m trying to do, then why hasn’t it done anything?’
‘It’s not like I can make this any faster, I’m still a Novice in Mana handling… It’s rather shameful as even if I want to blow myself up I still have to go through this…’
To his words, the creature barely reacted, as if everything he did was inconsequential.
“If you blow yourself up or not is of no concern to me, either way, I…”
“You can stop that right here and now.” Someone said behind the creature suddenly
“?! This voice…”
/SMASH!/
/BOOM!/
With a punch so that even sound was left agape, Sarferato smashed his fist against the creature, sending it zipping through the air above Dale and into the other side of the Hall before he even had the time to process what had transpired.
“…”
“What are you doing? Stop it before I make you.” He said deeply with a sharp expression as he looked at Dale on the ground
“Ah…”
Realizing that there was indeed no point in continuing to try and pressure himself, Dale slowly calmed down his roaring heart, crawling from the ground as he grasped Caladgolg once more.
But although he was now free and safe, the rising feeling he had at the back of his mind ever since he started this journey did not disappear, it instead grew stronger.
‘The stronger I get the weaker I become.’
‘My Level may almost be 70 but do I deserve it?’
‘I’m far from representing my true Strength… I’m too weak.’
Feeling down, Dale grasped Caladgolg, it felt a bit heavier then before…
But the stronger his grasp became, the stronger his emotions became as his expression grew fierce, together with his determination.
After being gifted with the Green Box, dale became the kind of person to push his desires forward forcefully upon being faced with a Wall or Failure.
He’ll keep trying, raising his capabilities until he overcomes said settleback.
That was how he trained for an entire year before he stepped upon Azimuth.
“We barely met and you already want to depart? You’re too young for that.” He said as he walked past Dale
‘This kid, he’s too stubborn and decisive, a good trait for those that are capable…’
‘But he’s too young.’
“I’ll commend your courage and decision-making, it shouldn’t have been easy… Yet such thought process is problematic.”
“If you cannot think of a solution if you can only arrive at self-sacrifice as the answer… Then you’re not fit to be a leader, not even a Soldier.”
“The best Soldiers are those that come back.”
“… We’ll discuss this later.”
‘First, I’ll clear this mess.’
‘I may have called him rash, but I’m the biggest fool here.’
‘I sent a kid alone to the Tower of Magic, what else did I expect?’
‘My many years working as a Village Elder have affected my decision making… But not anymore.’
Crossing his arms, Sarferato stood in front of Dale, looking down at the end of the Hall.
He held a large weapon in his hand, a tall double axe that rested on his shoulder.
For a moment, as he passed by Dale, he managed to inspect it, reading its name and Grade:
[Army Cleaver of Der Ar Fall (Half-Luminous)
Rating: 7.5-Star
…
]
“…”
The Axe shone faintly as light reflected upon its battered body.
Its edges were dull, having a few chips here and there…
The carvings on its blades were now old and worn, faint and broken.
A weapon that should have been retired long ago… Yet, it still shone proudly.
The Axe gave off a strong aura as if it was excited to be here… To be wielded once more.
It was then that he noticed it, faint reddish light covering its edge…
It looked sharp.
“Get up.” Sarferato said as he looked at the creature on the other side of the Hall
‘Without a doubt, this is a Golena, a type of artificial construct.’
‘It was thoroughly employed all around the Corps during the construction of all kinds of mechanisms, the perfect workers.’
‘But they were just that, unable to think and to act, how did one of them become like this? Able to not only utter smooth sentences but to think and cast magic as well?’
‘I did thought things were going a tad too smoothly…’
“Ahh… I remember you… Division Commander.”
“Should I say… It’s an honor to meet you again?” It said in an ironic tone as it rose from the ground, seemingly unaffected by the previous blow
Albeit a portion of its chest looked cracked.
“I don’t remember ever seeing you…”
‘Hum… I think I understand what is going on.’
“I’m sad to hear that… And impressed.”
“I thought any of the 12 Division Commanders would be dead by now, but you look like you aged little…”
With a glint in its eyes, the creature’s gaze went to Sarferato’s earrings.
“Maybe I was too hasty, you’re barely even alive, if we can even call that living.”
“I shouldn’t have expected anything less from one of us.” It said in a cold tone
“…”
‘I knew it.’
“?!”
‘One of us?’ Dale thought silently as he looked at the creature
