Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 1893

Chapter 1893

“Come out, voidheart worm!” Tianming couldn’t be bothered playing its games. Not only did he have his Infernal Armor on, he had brought out all ten of his godswords before him as he ascended the platform. He turned into a shooting star as he charged through the cloudy fog.

All of a sudden, he saw nothing but a vast blankness, as if he had ascended past the clouds to a world of pure white. Nothing but masses of cotton covered his view. When he stepped on them, they felt rather sturdy. Farther ahead of him was the top of the Sky Palace Formation. He was close to the tallest point in the Sky Palace.

“Hey, turn back,” Ying Huo said in an odd voice.

Tianming quickly turned behind him and saw a person standing atop the floor of cotton. It was a woman with perfect curves. Most of her skin was exposed, save for some parts that were obscured in the crudest manner possible. Every detail seemed perfectly crafted, with some parts filled to just the right amount and other parts polished to a glossy smoothness. She had a head of snow-white hair that stretched to her heels on the ground. Her hair glistened and looked like a waterfall that reflected sparkling sunlight.

However, that meant nothing to Tianming, nor did it inspire any goodwill in him. He knew that the only lifeform in there apart from him was the voidheart worm. A bug, even in human form, was still a bug. Perhaps worms would fall out of her body once it was cut open, just like Yuan Long, so her looks didn’t matter.

Even so, he was quite surprised that she looked somewhat like a mysterian. When he first saw her face, it was smooth and featureless. After that, the fog congealed around her and seemed to morph into eyes, ears, a nose, and a mouth, instantly crafting perfect features before Tianming’s very eyes. She was now a perfect beauty that would cause the destruction of nations when unleashed into the world. It was a shame that her eyes were empty and soulless.

Tianming could tell that the worm was trying its best to emote like a beauty, channeling seduction and flirtation. It was too bad that his sense of beauty had been completely distorted thanks to spending so much time with Feiling. In fact, seeing its attempts made him even more certain that it was the voidheart worm, a wildbeast at the end of the day.

No matter how powerful they were, wildbeasts would never be able to match up to even simple lifebound beasts in terms of intelligence. While the voidheart worm had amazing survival skills and was able to adapt in a way that allowed it to control the members of the Sky Palace, it didn’t really possess intelligence. Perhaps wildbeasts could eventually evolve to become beings like specters, the Archaionfiend, or Desolate Chaos Progenibeasts, but before that, they would just be normal wildbeasts.

“Stop with your senseless tricks. We’re of different species and I’m not into bestiality,” Tianming said, pointing the Godsin toward the ‘woman’ in its chain form.

“Save…” it pointed at him with great difficulty. “Save me….”

“Save your ass.” Tianming ignored her and thrust the Godsin toward it. The seven grade-eight divine hazards that were contained in the chain, coupled with the Galactic Godsin, blasted out as the chain stretched thousands of meters before instantly piercing the humanoid being’s chest. Tianming pulled the chain back, revealing a hole that didn’t bleed. Not to mention, there was no sign of destroyed organs. Nothing but a white liquid leaked out before the wound patched itself up at a rate faster than Tianming’s Greenspark Tower healed him. It left no sign of injury behind.

“Is this really a human?” Even a fool could tell that much.

“I’ll swallow my own shit if you aren’t the voidheart worm,” Tianming said, glaring at her. He was mustering the power of his Omnisentient Threads. Even though he was a little far from his believers, he was still in Orderia so he could still use their power without issue.

The pandemonium and cyclic sacrosuns appeared around him. The bright glow from the imperial star pierced the fog around them. He also had all ten totems pointed at the so-called ‘woman’.

“Hehe,” she chuckled, despite facing such a huge threat. This time around, her expression seemed more natural, like she didn’t even need to exert any effort to fake it. She laughed just like a beauty would, then started dancing and singing in the fog. Her performance sounded somewhat melancholic, as if she was telling a tragic tale. Throughout the song and dance routine, her expressions changed, but not in the mask-swapping way. Instead, her features morphed from one top beauty’s to another’s, all of them boasting immense charm.

Yet all of it was pointless. “Are you alright in the head? Do you think singing right before you’re killed will earn you any mercy? Or is this some kind of self-exorcism?”

“Hehehe….” She seemed a little shy as she laughed. “Big Brother, did I sing well?”

“Not bad, I must say. You barely pass as someone with a mental disability,” Tianming said.

“Is that so? Then should I keep singing for you, Big Brother?” she said in a weak voice without a hint of anger.

Tianming felt like she didn’t seem to understand what he really said and was disgusted. This worm was just trying to mimic human speech and simply skipped over the sarcastic remarks if it didn’t understand them. That had nothing to do with how powerful it was, but rather what its core being was.

“Big Brother… I… I want to become human,” she suddenly said with a tear-filled expression.

“That’s easy. I have a way,” Tianming said.

“What is it?” she asked, delighted.

“Die and quickly reincarnate. You might become a human that way.”

She seemed to understand what he meant and turned somewhat eccentric. Her beautiful features contorted and pulsed and her hair suddenly flared apart like it was alive and dancing. Her eyes rotated and her mouth opened so wide that it tore from the sides, revealing the blood within. Her tongue looked like a vile leech that wriggled as she said, “You die! Die! Die!”

Just like that, she madly roared at him. Spikes appeared all over her skin, turning her into a complete monster. Tianming almost puked upon seeing the transformation. He tried to analyze the thoughts of the voidheart worm; it seemed to have only matured recently and didn’t seem to possess much intelligence. However, it had great adaptability that allowed it to mimic behavior, yet something inside it seemed amiss or lacking, resulting in an awkward performance. But that didn’t affect its ability to survive. It knew that it could infiltrate the Sky Palace, thereby controlling the solar core and the Sky Palace Formation. After doing all that, it no doubt turned its attention to the world. Perhaps it found humans interesting, so it tried to mimic them, and even become one.
