Chapter 2074 - Wonderhaze Suzerain
Chapter 2074 – Wonderhaze Suzerain
“Pink, eh? This ancient star looks rather dreamlike, don’t you think?” The old man’s eyes let out a bit of light.
“Enough. Let’s not waste more time. If it isn’t stopped, it’ll leave our territory in less than a day,” the old crone said.
“Fine, fine. You’re always so impatient, old woman! You haven’t changed at all!” the man said with a chuckle.
“What? You were the impatient one!” She tugged his ear and caused him much grief. Appearances aside, the way this old divine wonderian couple behaved was rather cute.
“Let go! Stop pestering me!” he yelled, causing her to let go. But that didn’t stop his endless complaints.
“Come to think of it, as the Wonderhaze Suzerain, we only have one deific-class world within our territory. If only we could just circle around the mysterians and take this one,” said the crone.
“That’s enough. The mysterians were only willing to work with us because they trust us. If we go overboard, there won’t be any opportunities in the future. Let’s just fight our way in and take what we need.” When he finished speaking, the old man’s body let out a terrifying wave of power. It was his divine wonder, the pride and joy of divine wonderians. Like a living formation, the old man manifested a gigantic black pillar before him from the divine wonder engraved into his albi. It rapidly grew in size and resembled a brush that was pointed toward the sun! The divine wonder was far too large; at the peak of its expansion, it looked like a small solar lance.
“Based on the intelligence reports, the sun has a rather decent astralguard formation. However, your skyway masterbrush wonder should be able to make an opening in it. Once we enter, we’ll slaughter everything until the decabane genius shows up.” The old crone raised an eyebrow. Thick bundles of white hair hung from her head like hairy bugs, making her look rather sinister.
The old man’s ratty eyes also made him look rather insidious, especially when he was making his moves with his gigantic brush. “I know, stop nagging! Once we’re done, I’ll push my brush into your scroll to celebrate!”
“Huh, is your brush still hard enough for that? Maybe try to take a piss first to see if it still shoots. If you’re not careful, I’ll roll my scroll up tight and snap your brush off!” She rolled her eyes at him.
“Alas, the passage of time is truly merciless. You used to be a beautiful new book, but now you smell like stale and moldy paper.”
“Are you asking to be killed?!” The crone slapped him at the back of the head without holding much back.
While the two seemed to be flirting and bantering away, they didn’t stop their approach and the gigantic brush began piercing toward the sun. The two watched as it neared the astralguard formation. Subsequently, a nine-colored dragon shot out from the pink flaming clouds ahead. Given its mass, one would think it was a cosmic wildbeast from afar. When it emerged, blinding, nine-colored light emanated from its body. A Ninedragon Apotheosis had already been fully charged up and was shot toward the old man’s divine wonder!
At the same time, the pink hue began receding from the sun. The First Aeonic Ancestral Star’s main body had left the sun’s core as Tianming emerged. Yin Chen had discovered the divine wonderians the moment they had showed up.
“Move aside!”
The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb was now a skypiercer-class ship. After assimilating Ji Ji into the miniaturized nova source inside, it was even more powerful. No individual cultivator could possibly resist a blast of Ninedragon Apotheosis, but hiding from it was possible. The old couple’s expressions immediately changed as they evaded to the side, canceling the divine wonder in the process.
“Were we discovered?!” the old man said.
“Obviously,” the crone replied with a furrowed brow.
“Yet he dares to come out toward us. How bold. Looks like it saved us quite a bit of time.”
They both knew that Tianming was the core figure that the entire sun hinged upon. If they could deal with him, the sun would be free for the taking. Their theory was proven true when the sun began decelerating after the brat left it.
“Hehe, he even dares to leave his divine astralship! Amazing!” The crone saw the youth in a completely new light.
“If he was able to defeat the Blood Abyss Wargod, he definitely has a couple tricks up his sleeves. Even though he’s not even thirty, he was able to defeat a ninth-level sovereign. There’s only two possibilities: either his age is fake, or he’s able to tap into some kind of power that doesn’t belong to him under certain conditions,” the old man said.
“If it’s the latter, he’ll be easier to deal with. Let’s meet this new ruler of the sun, then!”
The two of them sang each other’s tune as was the ancient tradition of divine wonderians. Divine wonderians always came as a pair. The couple was married from birth, and their arrangements were mostly stable and lasting. Those like the dreamless celestial emperor that killed their mates were radical exceptions.
The two of them flew side by side toward the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb. The ship opened and two people came out; they were a couple as well. The young girl intimately hugged the white-haired youth’s arm. Above the sun, the two couples faced each other.
When the old couple saw the two of them, they couldn’t help but envy their youth. More importantly, they were among the best looking of their peers. The youth had the air of an unrivaled emperor—firm, yet free—while the girl looked like a goddess incarnate—noble, yet delicate. On the other hand, the divine wonderian couple was already quite old and their abilities had considerably deteriorated. Though divine wonderians didn’t deteriorate as much compared to other races to begin with, since they mainly fought with divine wonders, which didn’t really age or grow old.
“So you’re Li Tianming?” the old man asked, looking him down.
“Who are the two of you old fucks?” Tianming asked. He’d been quite surprised by what Yin Chen had reported and immediately gave chase. Had the sun not been nearby, all Tianming could do against these two was hide, so he made sure to keep his guard up.
“We’re the Wonderhaze Suzerain. Do you know how high suzerains rank among divine wonderians?”
