Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 2109 - Initial Fright

Chapter 2109 – Initial Fright

A gigantic black shade came rushing out of the divine astralship.

“A private estate?” Tianming was quite surprised. He had picked somewhere relatively unpopulated, only for it to be the private estate of someone else. He looked at the person that had come out and said, “You have my apologies for my accidental trespass. I’ll leave immediately, so please calm down.”

“Hehe, you call it an accident? You’re obviously trying to steal something! Stealing is one thing, but you even dared to pilot your divine astralship here? Do you think this is your home?!”

Amidst the black storms, Tianming finally saw the figure: a specter! He stood a kilometer in height, a giant through and through. He was covered in black scales and spikes and had four thick arms. A blood-colored snake-like pattern could be seen across his entire body, and his face was fierce like an ogre’s. What was more shocking was that two blood-colored snake heads grew out from where his ears should be, their tongues stuck out toward Tianming as they glared at him. The mouths of the snake heads moved as the specter spoke. In a sense, he had three heads in total! That appearance and size was nothing if not stunning.

Tianming and the rest were still newcomers and didn’t want to get into conflict with anyone, so he politely apologized, “My friend, it truly is a misunderstanding. We’ll leave without delay.”

“Misunderstanding? Do you think me a fool? The entire Gongshu Continent is the private estate of my master, and you’re right at the center of it! No need to waste words. According to the Code of Infinitum, I have the right to take your thieving heads! If you have any grievances, air them in hell! This humble slave’s job is not to hear you out, but to send you under!” There was no way for Tianming and the rest to explain.

“For such a powerful being to call himself a mere slave to a master…. This master apparently owns the entire continent as his private estate as well?” Wouldn’t that make the master a peak elite? Tianming could only grimace at his bad luck. Even though he had tried his best to sneak into this world, he’d found himself trespassing instead. Back on the sun where ownerless lands abound, something like this could never happen. Not to mention, the fact that someone had been sent after him right as he arrived meant the people there were experts at surveillance!

The servant howled as he charged toward Tianming, the snakes on his head glaring at him. The ground itself seemed to shake and Tianming immediately determined that the servant was at least a fourth-level sovereign or beyond. People of that level would be absolute rulers in the Mysterium Cluster, but here they were mere servants of an estate.

I can only fight and escape! But before he engaged, he dared another question. “Might I ask who the owner of this land is?”

“Gongshu Ding! He’s in the top hundred thousand of the reges mundi ranking! How could a speck of dust like you compare?”

Tianming wouldn’t even be able to rank in the top hundred million, let alone the top ten thousand. The reges mundi ranking was probably the main segment of the Infinitum Stele. Someone in that segment was probably in the intermediate levels of power across the whole of Ebonia, though not at the very top like Tianming had imagined. He didn’t have much of a frame of reference for anyone in those levels, so he decided he would defeat the servant before immediately retreating.

The servant’s attacks were far too fierce and swift, so much so that Moran wasn’t able to absorb enough nova source from the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.

“I’ll hold him off for now!” Tianming shielded the three girls and wielded the Grand-Orient Sword in both hands. Gathering the Flint Infernal Impulse, he struck with the combined nine strikes! Rampaging blood-colored sword ki formed a sword formation before striking out. Without the support from his Omnisentient Threads, the eighth-level solarian Tianming should be around a third-level sovereign in power.

“Lowly thief, how dare you resist after you trespassed into forbidden land?! You already deserve death by law!” the servant yelled. The snakes near his ears sprayed a thick toxic fog while he raised his fists and charged at Tianming with brute specter strength. His forceful strikes managed to counter Tianming’s strike, sending him flying along with the girls. All of them crashed into the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.

“How powerful!” For a mere servant to be that much stronger than Tianming imagined showed that not even the top geniuses of the Mysterium Cluster would amount to much here. Perhaps it had something to do with the nature of the power of Ebonia; even a servant like the specter before him had cultivated the entire time under Ebonia’s conditions.

The exchange of blows had come as quite a shock to Tianming, but fortunately he’d managed to mitigate most of the damage. Feiling and the others weren’t hurt.

“It’s coming!” Ji Ji directed the energy from the ship straight into Moran’s body.

“Ugh!” Her face contorted from discomfort. She had been a little bit shaken by the shockwaves of the previous blow, so supporting two divine wonders would be a little difficult. She grit her teeth and let the pink genesis ancestral nova source surge into her, knowing the dangers they were facing. The skyway masterbrush and sacredway tome wonders manifested above the specter servant and came crashing down!

The specter grunted and looked even more furious before jumping away like a rampaging monkey, leaving the ground beneath him cracked. He blasted the blood and black mist he was spraying out at the divine wonders that continued battering at him from front and back. The mist of blood was pushed apart and the specter servant came crashing down from the sky, causing quite a few gigantic trees to fall. Though bloodied, the servant’s anger didn’t wane in the slightest..com

“You’re going to die for certain!” The servant’s loyalty to his master was embedded deep in his bones, so he couldn’t tolerate anyone that trespassed upon his master’s property in the slightest.

“Let’s go!” Tianming said. Though they had temporarily held the servant back, he didn’t want to kill him. Instead, all of them rushed back into the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb and flew off. They didn’t even have time to wait for the Yin Chens that they had sent out earlier. For their first encounter in Ebonia to be such a violent one left them awed and anxious.

“It’s fine! We’ll be able to escape. The estate’s quite large, after all.” Tianming tried consoling them. The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb had already flown off and it was too late for the servant to give chase, so he breathed a sigh of relief. Little did he expect that Feiling and the others would look behind him in horror.

He felt a chill down his spine as a playful voice rang out by his ear. The person was right next to him! “Naughty child, you barged into my estate and hurt my servant. Did you think I’d let you off just like that?”
