Chapter 2164 - The Swordfiend of Time
Chapter 2164 – The Swordfiend of Time
The ancestral guidance stele was essentially a sword-shaped island, and moving extremely fast. Boiling magma crashed into Tianming. Countless nova sources, divine hazards, and underground ores spun around him, causing him to narrow his eyes. There were already quite a few people on the ancestral guidance stele, at least hundreds of Lin Clan disciples. It was clear that they had discovered the stele before Tianming. These disciples appeared to be in a sorry state due to the collisions and the speed of the ancestral guidance stele. The only thing they could do to stay on the stele was insert their swords into it and hold on tight with both hands. The rocks and nova source storm continued hitting them, but they had to resist. If they were unlucky or not strong enough, they would be knocked off the stele. And once they fell, it would be impossible to catch up to it again. The Swordsoul Purgatory was definitely a dangerous place. However, the situation only aroused Tianming’s competitive spirit.
“Hurry up!” Lin Xiaogui was quick to react. Transforming into a black phantom, she flew above the stele, waiting for the right time to jump down.
“Why all the trouble?” Tianming chuckled as he pulled out the Godsin, which quickly turned into a chain. Before the stele arrived, the sharp end of the chain shot out and pierced the stele. “I’ll give you a ride.” With his other hand, he grabbed Lin Xiaogui’s dangling black tail. Although it was covered in spikes and extremely sharp, he wasn’t hurt because he had used his left hand to grab hold of it.
“Bastard, let me go!” Under the mask, Lin Xiaogui’s eyes flashed with anger. The two of them weren’t familiar at all, yet he was touching her tail.
Unfortunately, Tianming wouldn’t listen to her at all. He retracted the chain and it pulled him toward the stele.
“Ah!” They were thrown into the air and slammed into numerous rocks. The huge, island-like ancestral guidance stele flew past their eyes. Hanging by the chain, Tianming was dragged along with it while his other hand was wrapped around Lin Xiaogui’s tail.
“I hope you die, Lin Feng… ahh!”
The wind was so loud that Tianming couldn’t hear her swearing at all. The Godsin continued shortening as he faced the storm. After about ten breaths, they had successfully climbed onto the stele and had stabilized themselves. Lin Xiaogui pulled out a curved black sword, pierced the ancestral guidance stele, steadied herself, and swung her tail out of Tianming’s hand.
“What’re you doing?” She asked through gritted teeth.
“Helping you, you ungrateful thing,” Tianming replied.
“I can do it myself. I don’t need your help!” she angrily shouted.
“But there’s no way you could’ve done it gracefully.” Tianming grinned.
“Gracefully?” Lin Xiaogui was about to cry from frustration. Was being dragged onto the stele by her tail at all graceful?
“Your sword looks interesting,” Tianming said, glancing at her weapon. It didn’t appear to have many divine patterns, but was extremely sharp. It had easily pierced the stele and was keeping her firmly attached.
The ancestral guidance stele continued racing forward. If they wanted to stay on it, they would have to endure endless underground storms. That caused their hair and clothes to fly in the wind and they had to yell to be heard. Tianming wrapped the Godsin around his waist, while the tip of the sword was inserted deep into the stele. That way his hands were free and he could freely move.
“I’m such a genius.” He was very pleased with himself.
Lin Xiaogui didn’t pay any attention to him, but stood on the stele and looked around. There were countless black patterns on the stele’s surface. The disciples eagerly stared at the patterns, muttering to themselves.
“Who does this ancestral guidance stele belong to? They look so zealous.”
Lin Xiaogui was stunned for a moment. She pricked up her ears to listen and shouted, “Lin Feng, this is the Swordfiend of Time’s ancestral guidance stele.”
……
Not far behind the stump-shaped Mount Grandsect was Mount Swordsoul, which was shaped like a giant sword soaring into the sky. It was where the Swordsoul Chamber, in charge of operating, guarding, and watching over the Swordsoul Purgatory, was located. The Swordsoul Chamber had recently been taken over by a new lord, Third Branch Master Lin Xiaoyun. He had been unanimously elected by the clan council. As the lord of the Swordsoul Chamber, he had the authority to oversee everything, so his status in the clan had greatly increased. Of course, he had only become a branch master a few years ago. The newly appointed chamber lord spent most of his time running the Swordsoul Chamber, which had its own supervisors.
Their division of labor was very strict. Some patrolled the various sections of the Swordsoul Purgatory while others remained in the Swordsoul Chamber to monitor the Swordsoul Bracelets, watching through the disciples’ points of view to deal with emergencies at any given moment. There would occasionally be interesting conflicts or influential figures that would catch the elders’ attention and they would enlarge certain scenes to watch them together. Thus, the Swordsoul Chamber was a place where elders and parents could observe the performance of their children, descendants, and disciples from a distance. It was always lively.
“Chamber Lord! Chamber Lord!” On the peak of Mount Swordsoul was a huge, ring-shaped building, which was where the Swordsoul Chamber was located. With a blue crown on his head, Lin Xiaoyun was practicing the sword in a secret room when he heard people shouting outside.
“Did something happen?” He frowned and quickly withdrew his sword. Fifth Branch Master Lin Jie previously mentioned that the Swordsoul Purgatory’s guard formation had weakened. After leaving the secret room, he found a group of people gathered outside with happy expressions on their faces.
“What happened?” Lin Xiaoyun asked.
“Look at this, Chamber Lord.” The crowd parted for Lin Xiaoyun.
Lin Xiaoyun saw a magnified scene in the circular formation in front of him. The people in the image were very clear.
“Chamber Lord, your daughter, Lin Jianjia, is on an ancestral guidance stele. Come see who it belongs to.”
Lin Xiaoyun had just locked on to a girl with long black and white hair. Narrowing his eyes, he soon recognized what they meant. At that moment, his eyes widened. “Ancestor Grandvoid? The Swordfiend of Time?”
“Yes! This stele hasn’t appeared for many years, has it?”
“The Swordsoul Purgatory is enormous. It isn’t easy to find specific ancestral guidance steles. The formation arranged by our ancestors can’t be desecrated….”
“Congratulations, Chamber Lord!”
“Jianjia is a six-six talent and possesses astonishing talent in sword cultivation. Just a few years ago, she dominated the daisy ranking, and at the age of thirty-five, she’s a fifth-level stellaminor that’s mastered two fullstella battle arts. Her talent is extraordinary, even among infinitum-class geniuses.”
“She has the potential to become a rex mundi!”
They were all flattering Lin Xiaoyun because they were the direct descendants he had brought into the Swordsoul Chamber. Of course, Lin Jianjia still had to be talented enough for them to compliment her. If Lin Feng had been the subject of their conversation, they wouldn’t know what to say.
