Chapter 2242 – Central Shuntian Clan
The starvore frog was a top-class nova wildbeast, being able to mature into the sanctuary, or even ether class. Once its kind reached the astralscape, their bodies would expand to the point that they would be able to devour small stellunar source worlds! They were much more terrifying than worldring skysnakes.
There was only one such purple venomous frog on the battlefield. It wasn’t a mere toad, but rather a refined and powerful beast, with immense jumping strength. The frog’s legs had tens of thousands of venomous hook-spikes. Tianming also saw a tongue within its mouth that forked tens of thousands of times and looked like many distinct tentacles, each of them violet and as sharp as a sword. Anyone that approached was immediately terrified by how it looked.
The scene of the two women fighting was frightening to behold. The gigantic starvore frog’s tongue seemed to pierce every single strand of frosty sword ki, as if it was a swordmaster using its tongue as a sword. Its venom began spreading far and wide. creating even more chaos. The two of them were so focused on the fight that they didn’t even turn their attention to the manna. Qi Qiling’s combat capability was far from Lin Lele’s match in single combat, however, so she jumped into the mouth of the frog to prevent herself from being suppressed by her opponent’s order, entirely giving up on fighting with her own body. She was a mere god going up against an astral god, after all, making it a rational choice. Had she not done so, she would only lose that much sooner. Apart from her starvore frog, she also controlled eighteen other warbeasts, which were charging toward Tianming. A few of them were high-deific-class.
“Dammit!” Tianming had just taken Qi Hongzhen down, only to be targeted by those monsters. Thankfully, he was incredibly fast!
“When it comes to taking the treasure, those gigantic warbeasts would have a much harder time!” Tianming only brought Ying Huo and Meow Meow out. Those two bought him quite a bit of time with their ability barrages.
“I’ll be taking it!” The manna was right before his eyes. The two ebons were growing a little desperate as the odds turned against them. As the ordered manna was rather large, Tianming used an ordered storage artifact that he carried inside his spatial ring.
“Almost got it!” He took out the case, only to sense a threat from behind.
“Careful!” his beasts warned.
He turned back in a flash and saw an eerie youth with waist-long hair. He was such a dainty and beautiful sort that he almost looked like a woman. His hair fluttered in the air, revealing a glitter-covered face with the most refined of features. Though it was a stunning sight, Tianming could feel the imposing power coming from himβan orderan! An astral god like him was completely unlike a normal god. Controlling order meant controlling the universe!
Tianming spotted a square mark on his forehead that had patterns within that made up a ‘center’ character. “That’s one of the Central Shuntian Clan, the albusbeast users!” He immediately recognized who it was from his recent studies. Ebonia was generally separated into different provinces, and the Central Shuntian Clan’s province was known as Imperium Central. Incidentally, the Swordgod Lin Clan’s province was known as Infinitum Sword. Imperium Central was much larger than Infinitum Sword and the Central Shuntian Clan was the strongest faction in their province, being one of the thirteen Infinitum Regal Clans. Their albusbeasts were also out of this world.
Tianming had seen albusbeasts before. Gongshu Ding, the cultivator whose estate Tianming had accidentally trespassed upon during his arrival in Ebonia, was from the Gongshu family, which was a branch of the Shuntian Clan. The snakes that he had used as straws were actually albusbeasts, which referred to incredibly high-level lifebound beasts that were able to maintain small physical forms for ultimate toughness and agility, much like Ying Huo could by shrinking. That, however, was only one among many differences. The Shuntian Clan had developed many unique techniques for their albusbeasts to be able to achieve odd feats with them.
Tianming saw that person’s disciple card; his name was Shuntian Bohan. When the youth spotted Tianming, he smiled and pointed at Tianming’s feet. He looked down and saw a black, thumb-sized ant on the ground, which had already stepped on his foot.
“Shuntian ants!” He knew that this was the signature of the Shuntian Clan. The ants were famous for having insane strength. Right as he recalled that, he felt a terrifying force acting on his leg. It felt like he had been rammed by a huge mountain! He was flung straight into a stone pillar. The impact was so great that he felt like his body was about to come apart as he coughed out blood. Many bones had immediately snapped and he left a bloody stain on the rock behind him. “That kind of strength is too much!”
Though it was only a single ant, it boasted the strength of a giant beast. Even with the Greenspark Tower’s healing, it still took him a while before he could get up. He was acutely reminded of the fact that there were many people in the Oldgod Domain that he was still far from capable of defeating. He struggled to look up and saw that the youth had already pocketed the ordered manna..com
“Thanks, big sisters.” Shuntian Bohan laughed as he attempted to vanish into the darkness.
“You wonβt escape!” Qi Qiling and her giant beasts gave chase, though her huge beasts didn’t seem agile enough to keep up. The ebons were far more suited to war than smaller battles. The others who had just arrived also turned to chase the youth.
“Brother Feng!” Only Lin Lele didn’t follow and picked Tianming up like a princess. With an anxious look, she asked, “Are you fine?”
“I’m… fine… I only need a few days’ rest,” he said.
“That damned Shuntian Bohan! Next time I see him, I’ll bust his head in!”
“Sis, help me check if that hundred-meter-long finger-like pillar is still here,” he asked, light headed. He had been utterly crushed by a single ant, and that was too mindboggling to even contemplate. There were far too many powerful freaks in Ebonia.
“A finger pillar?” She looked up and saw the pillar that was stained with Tianming’s blood. “Are you talking about that one?”
Tianming turned back and saw that his blood was gradually seeping into that black pillar through the ‘fingerprints’. He sneakily moved his Oldgod Ring aside. “Shhh.”
