Chapter 2244 - Viridian Starsea
Chapter 2244 – Viridian Starsea
“It didn’t even last a strike! You fool, you thought it was some kind of treasure! Haha!” Lin Lele let out a loud chuckle and shot Tianming a thumbs-down to mock him. Many spectators broke into a laugh after witnessing that. Only Tianming remained rooted where he stood.
“It can’t be….” He weakly slumped to the ground, searching for something in the rubble, anything, but there was nothing. “Fuck…. That was fucking embarrassing.” With a loud sigh, he fell into the pile of rubble lying down and sank down into it. “Am I naive or what? How could everything I see be some kind of treasure?”
But then again, what about the fingerprints? How could they look so similar? It simply didn’t make sense! He remained in the pile of rubble, emptying his mind. He was made fun of by Lin Lele, the spectators, and even his lifebound beasts, who were inside his lifebound space.
“I’ve been saying that our beastmaster is a huge idiot for a long time, haven’t I? But you guys didn’t buy what I said!” Ying Huo was rolling on the ground with laughter.
“In terms of intelligence, mine might be the highest. I have the biggest brain! No, two of them!” Lan Huang said.
“I have… billions of… brains, hah!” Yin Chen confidently stated.
“Don’t bother comparing. Your brains are either hollowed out or filled with nothing but water or rust,” Ji Ji disdainfully said.
The mockery from Tianming’s lifebound beasts completely mortified him.
“Am I the only one who trusts Little Li?” Xian Xian asked, cocking its head.
Touched, Tianming said, “You’re the only good judge of character here, Xian Xian!”
“Of course! I want to eat more meat, after all. So I have to butter you up,” she shyly said.
Tianming was depressed again. He picked up two pieces of black rock and placed them over his eyes, then spread all his limbs out. He was trying to recall the sight he had seen inside the green skeleton.
“That finger….” It had looked rather impactful, especially the curve. Tianming was certain that he had detected something similar from that finger-shaped pillar.
“Huh?” After some time, he felt a sting near his right pinky finger. It was affecting every single albus in his finger. Slowly, he raised his right hand before him and focused on the pinky finger. From its appearance, it looked completely identical to before, save for an additional green glow.
“What’s this?” The green glow looked like many pinky fingers. The change was so small that it was inside his albi and not visible to spectators. He found that he could still move his finger as he pleased.
“Is it because of my blood? Or is it because I also unlocked the skeletons? What caused the link to form between my pinky finger and that pillar I saw in the vision?”
His right hand was a normal hand, unlike his Sky Plundering Hand. Thus, this was quite a shocking discovery. Perhaps the broken pillar was indeed the same gigantic pinky finger he had seen in the vision. It was merely a different mode of existence for it!
“For something to remain undiscovered for so long in the Oldgod Domain means that it’s really good at hiding its true nature. I wonder what’ll happen to my finger now?” He focused all his attention on it and could feel that the green light encompassing his countless albi seemed linked together in a complex manner, just like a divine wonder. Divine wonders were formations of flesh.
He gripped his pinky finger tight with his left hand. “What secrets do you hold?” He rubbed the fingers of his left hand together, creating sparks from the hexagonal scales. Then he pushed a sharp and bloody fingernail into his right pinky finger. The green light within it seemed to detect some kind of threat and began wildly shuddering, sending great pain through his finger—it felt like his albi were being rearranged! All the while, he kept the third eye on his left arm close, watching the green light.
“Huh?!” Through the Sky Plundering Eye, he saw the structure of a complete formation. “Let’s check it out using my caelum….” It was the first time he had explored a part of his own body with his caelum. All of a sudden, he found himself in an infinitely vast world. “How huge!”
Nobody would expect such a huge world to exist within a single pinky. It looked thousands of times more vast than the world within the skeleton! His caelum flew about in the boundless astralscape, witnessing a young, primordial world coming into being before his eyes. He only knew of two places where this kind of vision was possible. The first was the dreamscape of the Primordial Chaos Beasts, which had a central theme of destruction. The second was the black-and-gold star inside the colorless gate in the Grand-Orient Sword. Nothing but those two visions could compare to the majesty of witnessing the explosive birth of the universe before him. However, the sight suddenly froze!
Tianming remained calm and looked into the distance, seeing countless nova source worlds. Every one of them was verdant green and filled with life and vigor! It was a star cluster with unmatched density, many times larger than the star map of the Infinitum Mundus that Ji Ji had provided. All the green stars looked incredibly realistic as they burned before him and moved according to laws he barely understood. The newborn universe seemed to have come to a stable state! It was a viridian sea of stars, a thing of immense beauty!
Yet the truly shocking part was still to come. All of a sudden, the distance between the green stars rapidly shrank and, in almost no time at all, they congregated into a single mass.
“What’ll come of this?” It was something that seemed impossible in the real world, so it piqued his curiosity. Eventually, all the stars fused into a single whole.
“It’s shaped like a human?” He didn’t know what to make of the humanoid thing that glowed bright green. It looked like a divine being that embodied the universe itself, observing Tianming from within its divine radiance.
