Chapter 2287 - Shuntian Tower
Chapter 2287 – Shuntian Tower
“Alright!” the elites of the Lin Clan all sighed. Many of them took their seats with long faces. All they could do was wait and see. They had no way of deciding which disciples lived and which died.
“We should be mentally prepared. The rex mundi said that these ancient ruins have only made one set of rules known: kill your enemy to survive. There’s also something like a formation that seems to be raising bugs of a sort. There’s a chance that those that defeat their opponents might not necessarily get to return, either.”
If all of them were to die out, it would be something the Swordgod Lin Clan could absolutely not accept. They had been in too much of a slump in the past century, but quite a lot of geniuses born within that time had six-six talents. They were the only hope for the future of the Lin Clan.
……
When Rex Mundi Yi Daiyan made her statement on the incident, the entirety of the Infinitum Bodhimanda lamented. Even though they could still watch the disciples through their Oldgod Rings, many factions only saw how they died as well. Everything in Ebonia seemed to grind to a halt as the people had their eyes glued to their children with worry. Countless divine astralships continued descending on the Oldgod Domain. While the rex mundi’s statement was just her own guess, the growing intensity of the situation in the nest made them aware of the possibility that only a small minority of the disciples would survive.
……
“I finally caught you,” Shuntian Bohan said, his compound eyes glaring at the girl he had forced into a corner.
“Brother Shuntian, don’t kill me, please!” The female bee person shot him a look of despair.
“Boling, I have no choice. I don’t want to stay like this! I want to turn back into a human! Help me do this, Boling!” he savagely barked.
“Brother, we can look into this together…. There will be a way. My parents have helped you quite a lot in recent years, right? Let’s not be so hasty, please,” she anxiously said.
“I’m not hasty, Sister. This head is just too terrifying. I feel disgusted just looking at you like that!” He took a deep breath and continued, “Stand up. You’re an orderan too. Let’s decide who survives with our own strength.”
“But I only just broke through before coming to the Oldgod Domain! I don’t even have good control over my order yet!”
“Then you only have your misfortune to blame,” he mercilessly said. He took out his hammer and pointed it at the girl. The Shuntian ants on the hammer menacingly glared at her. “Die!”
The fight lasted only a quarter of an hour before Shuntian Bohan smashed the girl’s bee head into paste.
“I’ve turned back! Hahaha!” He touched his face in a fit of mania and laughed, but it didn’t last long before he shrieked again. His head had turned back into a bee’s before he even noticed!
“Didn’t I kill someone, just like Guchi Xiaoyin? Why did my head turn back?!” He roared with rage and frustration and even hammered his own head. The blood that seeped out was still green. “Why?!”
He looked around in a panic and saw a green light in the distance. Why would there be three green lights in a single room? He didn’t know the answer to that. He only knew that he had someone to kill.
……
Tianming took a deep breath when he entered the room and saw two green lights clashing in the distance. “This must be a fight!”
He couldn’t be sure how powerful they were, but at least they weren’t as strong as Yi Taoyao. His gaze fell on the thumb and index fingers of his right hand.
“If killing others that try to kill me is the only way to progress through this hellish battlefield, here’s hoping that these fingers will let me improve a bit in this crucial time.” The fight was still ongoing, so he had to make the best use of his time. “Let’s keep grinding.”
……
Imperium Central was the grandest province in all of Ebonia. It was the birthplace of a clan that had passed down their legacy for tens of thousands of generations, creating many reges mundi in the process. It was none other than the Central Shuntian Clan, famed for their albusbeasts.
The core of Imperium Central was Albuon. It was the center of power of the Central Shuntian Clan, much like the Infinitum Swordsea was the center of power of the Swordgod Lin Clan. Within Albuon was an incredibly tall black tower that pierced the clouds above, even taller than many mountains. It served as the headquarters of the clan and was just as valuable to them as the Ancestral Swordheart was to the Swordgod Lin Clan. It was called Shuntian Tower.
A group of elites gathered at the top floor of the tower. They stood tall above the masses that they ruled. Everything in Imperium Central was within their control, but this incident had far outstripped their imagination.
“Shuntian Bolong, your grandson killed my granddaughter!”
The people on the top floor were chaotic and argumentative. Two elites among them were going at each other’s throats.
“Big Brother, Bohan had no choice! Anyone in his position would’ve done the same. Our children are all terrified of this unfamiliar situation. Nobody’s able to stay calm like that,” said an old man.
“Bullshit! How can anyone not even calm down and try to find another way before killing a family member?!” the other said, red faced with rage.
“You’re too naive. There is no other way to resolve that kind of situation. I dare say that this is only the start. Even if Bohan recovers his human head, there’ll still be many challenges he’ll have to overcome to be able to survive,” said Shuntian Bolong.
“I believe Bolong’s words have merit.”
“Let’s all calm down. It’s not time for arguing. If we don’t find a solution, most of the participants from our clan might not survive!”
“I’ll go to the Oldgod Domain in person to see if I can enter that ancestral world.”
“Good!”
During their discussion, someone suddenly said, “That’s weird. Bolong, your grandson’s head turned back into a bee’s.”
“How could that be?” Shuntian Bolong almost coughed blood out from anger at the sight.
“So killing other people doesn’t work either?”
“That’s not it. Do you see that? There’s a third person inside the cage they’re locked in.”
“Who’s that?”
Their eyes followed the point of view of Shuntian Bohan’s Oldgod Ring. Soon, they saw the other person in the room. As he also had a bee head, they weren’t able to tell who that was.
“Look at his arm! Isn’t he Lin Mu’s son that Bohan defeated before?”
They breathed a sigh of relief in unison.
