Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 2303 - Octavein Fiend, Ninevoid Fiendcat

Chapter 2303 – Octavein Fiend, Ninevoid Fiendcat

The two ebons and their horde of wildbeasts blocked Tianming’s way, using their abilities to stop his forward momentum.

“Yi Zhuojun, hang on, I can save you!” Tianming couldn’t go over yet, so his only option was to use his performance to give Yi Zhuojun the hope to keep on fighting. The idea seemed patently ridiculous—in this fight, how could a god bring Yi Zhuojun hope?

However, Tianming had just instakilled a low-sanctuary-class wildbeast, so the laughter of many spectators had died in their throats.

“Cousin?” Dongshen Xiaoli stared in disbelief. Is he possessed by some great hero now? The current Tianming made her realize that running wasn’t an option. The only path to survival was through their opponents. Dongshen Xiaoli’s current opponent was an ebon ranked in the six hundreds, which was higher than her. “Cao Nima! If I beat you, I’ll be ranked in the six hundreds, too!”

Dongshen Xiaoli was still young and still had a chance or two to attempt the minor reges mundi rankings. If she could reach such a rank at her age, she would be able to return to her clan in glory.

“Die!” While everyone was still recovering from their shock, Tianming, a god, was already attacking two even stronger ebon disciples. One was ranked in the three hundreds and the other in the four hundreds. For Qi Xuanzi to send them against Lin Jianxing at the start showed how powerful they were.

Now, they were deployed against Tianming, as his performance had left them feeling a sense of danger.

Tianming had used his killing efficiency to garner much attention. As for those concerned about him—like Lin Xiao, Dongshen Yue, Feiling, and the rest who were outside the Oldgod Domain—their hearts were pounding in their chests.

“Ying Huo, Meow Meow, I’ll leave that to you!” Tianming was the ebons’ target, so it would be hard for him to pass. However, Ying Huo and Meow Meow’s smaller figures had let them reach Yi Zhuojun’s battlefield, along with a portion of Yin Chens.

The two new ebon arrivals and Cao Tama, who had been fleeing just now, surrounded Tianming. Tianming only had three lifebound beasts with him, including Ji Ji.

The new ebon pair were one male and one female.

The woman, Miao Miaomiao, was ranked three hundred and forty plus, not far from Lin Jianxing. She had pitch-black skin and a strong body, and seemed like a feral black cat, her eyes filled with murder.

As for the man, his name was Mu Sheng and he was the top disciple of the ebons’ Mu Clan.

The three blocked Tianming’s path like death gods.

Miao Miaomiao grinned. “You still want to save Yi Zhuojun? You need to be alive to do that, you know.”

The walnuts had made Lin Jianxing decisively decide to change sides. The ebon team now had seven, so they no longer needed to rush for the walnuts. As long as Tianming, Yi Zhuojun, and Dongshen Xiaoli died, they would have time to slowly examine the walnuts afterward.

Thus, the enemy was currently prioritizing killing their targets. It was only a matter of time before Lin Jianxing and Qi Xuanzi killed Yi Zhuojun. For the other three ebon disciples, killing Tianming with the help of their two low-sanctuary-class warbeasts and thirty-plus deific-class warbeasts was just a matter of time as well. Then Dongshen Xiaoli would die, sooner or later.

“You’ve all grown even more vicious without the bee heads.” Tianming split the Grand-Orient Sword into two while cosmic impulses swirled within his eyes.

“Don’t act like a saint. Did you show mercy when you killed our warbeasts?” Mu Sheng sneered.

“True!” As Tianming spoke, Xian Xian and Lan Huang split to his left and right while Yin Chen turned into a sea of metal that swept through the battlefield.

If one wanted to live, someone had to die for it!

Now that Tianming’s lifebound beasts had orders, the deific-class warbeasts weren’t dangerous as long as Xian Xian and Yin Chen were around.

“The danger comes from those three ebons and their two low-sanctuary-class warbeasts!” The warbeasts had already received their orders and treated Tianming as their prey as they leapt toward him, howling.

When dozens of giant beasts stampeded, the entire room shook. Tianming and his lifebound beasts in the path of the stampeding warbeasts looked like they would be easily trampled over. This situation had been created by Lin Jianxing’s actions.

Tianming looked over there, where that fellow was excitedly fighting as he babbled on, forcing Yi Zhuojun toward his death. “You actually still think you’re doing this for the Lin Clan. I stayed behind just so that you wouldn’t get the last laugh.” He led his lifebound beasts to meet the stampede. The two low-sanctuary-class warbeasts were clearly stronger than the myriadeyes ghostdragon, which was what allowed them to rank so much higher than Cao Tama.

Miao Miaomiao’s was a ninevoid fiendcat, which wasn’t large but was capable of moving stealthily and speedily. Supposedly, they enjoyed preying on children and had strong illusionary abilities, while their tails could split into tens of thousands with shocking power. This kind of nova wildbeast was a nightmare for the human world and was very hard to tame.

Mu Sheng’s wildbeast was an octavein fiend, which was actually closely related to the bloodline hairfiend. It was in the shape of an artery-covered heart, but the ‘blood vessels’ didn’t extend out as hair-like tentacles. Instead, they grew out in the form of eight whips that were covered in sharp thorns.

The octavein fiend and ninevoid fiendcat were both well-known wildbeasts. The ninevoid fiendcats were especially believed to have a very high intelligence that was on par with lifebound beasts. This fiendcat in particular clearly had its own thoughts and wasn’t fully controlled by Miao Miaomiao.

“This may be a little tricky,” Tianming said.

“What do we have to fear! Ram them down!” Lan Huang shouted like a hot-blooded youth as it rushed forward. Nova wildbeasts didn’t have orders, even for those that had become sanctuary-class. Thus, lifebound beasts with the body of astral gods usually had an advantage.

By Lan Huang’s side, a silver sea turned into a wave that crashed into the octavein fiend.

They were both very brave! Lan Huang’s bravery was encoded deep in its bones. As for Yin Chen, it had no fear of death. As long as it had even one body left, it could eventually eat its way back. They were perfectly suitable as a front line to block the enemy.
