Chapter 2319 - The Sixth Walnut
Chapter 2319 – The Sixth Walnut
“Lin Feng, did you take five walnuts?” Yi Zhuojun awkwardly asked. Taking everything into consideration, Tianming should get three at most, while the remaining three would be left to Yi Zhuojun, Lin Linglin, and Dongshen Xiaoli.
“Sorry, I don’t know what happened but they went straight into my head after the ebons died, including the one my cousin killed,” Tianming said.
Dongshen Xiaoli nodded. “Yes, I can confirm that. I killed him, but the walnut went to Tianming.”
“The rules of this place aren’t very clear. With a walnut, there’s still no guarantee you’ll live, and without one, you might not die after all. Let’s get rid of Qi Xuanzi first,” Tianming said.
“Leave this walnut to me,” Yi Zhuojun said.
Tianming looked at Dongshen Xiaoli. In fact, he wanted to remove the weird things from his head, but unfortunately he couldn’t do it for the time being.
“Cousin, it’s okay. Yi Zhuojun is stronger than me so it should belong to him…” Dongshen Xiaoli said.
Tianming still needed Yi Zhuojun’s help. “Take his first. If you really want walnuts, I’ll take you somewhere else to get them.” He had the ability to visit other nests.
“Somewhere else?”
Before Dongshen Xiaoli and the others could process his words, Tianming took the three of them up onto the Regal Chaosfiend’s back.
“Do you know where Qi Xuanzi has fled to?”
Qi Xuanzi no longer had a green glow, so it wouldn’t be easy to look for him. However, Yi Zhuojun still had it.
“I do!” Tianming replied.
“I’ll deal with Qi Xuanzi. You handle the superfiend,” Yi Zhuojun said.
“No problem.”
Tianming knew that if Yi Zhuojun wanted Qi Xuanzi’s walnut, he would have to kill him with his own hands, and the superfiend was the stronger of the two. Although Tianming couldn’t use his prime wonder for the time being, aside from the loss of more than a billion Yin Chens, his lifebound beasts could still fight.
“Get him!”
Meow Meow was able to shake them off before, so it could certainly catch up to them now. The Regal Chaosfiend shot out amidst black and white lightning. It disappeared in a flash, heading straight for Qi Xuanzi’s position.
When Qi Xuanzi saw the approaching green light, his expression turned ugly. “How does he know exactly where I am?” The question couldn’t be answered by the superfiend. This time, it was his turn to flee. Unfortunately, he couldn’t throw off Meow Meow. The distance between the two grew smaller, and soon Tianming caught sight of Qi Xuanzi and the superfiend.
“Stop them!” Qi Xuanzi yelled at the superfiend.
The superfiend froze for a moment, then sped up and overtook Qi Xuanzi.
“You dare disobey me?” Qi Xuanzi’s face immediately turned red. When he opened his hands, purple light burst out of the silver-laced purple soul eyes in his palms like waves, hitting the superfiend. Letting out a miserable scream, it turned around to attack Tianming and the others under the suppression of the crushing power.
Tianming watched as that all happened.
“I won’t kill you if you don’t make a move,” Tianming said.
The superfiend covered its triangular head with its sharp claws as agonizing pain swept its entire being. Upon hearing Tianming’s words, it faltered a little, but the infinite beastmaster’s soul power made it scream in pain and charge toward Tianming.
“Meow Meow and Ying Huo, take Yi Zhuojun with you and go after Qi Xuanzi.”
Jumping off Meow Meow’s back, Tianming faced off against the superfiend. Meanwhile, Meow Meow rushed past and headed toward Qi Xuanzi like a lightning storm.
“Don’t run!” Yi Zhuojun went in for the attack, pressing hard on Qi Xuanzi with a violent, stormlike offensive.
“I’m the young master of the Qi Clan and my grandparents are in the top sixty of the reges mundi ranking. Yi Zhuojun, they’ll come after you if you dare to kill me!” Qi Xuanzi yelled while running away.
“My aunt is the rex mundi,” Yi Zhuojun retorted.
Qi Xuanzi was furious when he heard that.
Meow Meow’s lightning engulfed Qi Xuanzi. Trapped in the Misty Hellthunder, he was electrocuted so hard he flew into the air and slammed back down to the ground. When he looked up again, Yi Zhuojun had appeared right in front of him.
“I don’t need your help,” he said to Meow Meow and Ying Huo.
“Sure.” They were too lazy to get involved. Instead, they blocked Qi Xuanzi so he had no chance to escape.
“Infinite beastmaster? Without your warbeasts, what are you compared to me?” With a cold sneer, Yi Zhuojun thrust his spear. This was his revenge.
He had been besieged by Qi Xuanzi, the superfiend, eyebeast, and myriadhead hydra before, as well as Lin Jianxing and his six swordbeasts, but now it was Yi Zhuojun and his totems that surrounded the ebon instead.
There was no suspense to the outcome of such a battle; Qi Xuanzi would definitely perish. Suppressed by Yi Zhuojun, the power from his soul eye controlling the superfiend dissipated. The superfiend was thus freed from pain. However, it still had the mark of the ebons, so it continued struggling before Tianming despite being afraid of dying.
“Kneel and I’ll spare your life.” Tianming could tell from its struggling and torn gaze that it was rather intelligent, at least as smart as the voidheart worm. Having come across so many wildbeasts before, he had found that those with low combat power, like voidheart worms and wasteland bugs, had higher intelligence. When it came to nova wildbeasts, it seemed that intelligence and strength weren’t necessarily related. He had killed so many warbeasts in this place. The superfiend and ninevoid fiendcat, which were the smartest, weren’t easy for their beastmasters to control.
“Kneel down and I’ll spare your life!” he repeated, drawing the Grand-Orient Sword and pointing it at it. He didn’t know the principle behind the ebons’ control over their warbeasts, but he wanted to. The superfiend roared, its arms and legs trembling. In the end, it screamed and knelt before Tianming, its triangular head hitting the ground.
“Very good. You’ll follow me from now on and I’ll be an infinite beastmaster.” Tianming smiled.
“Yes!” To his surprise, the superfiend actually spoke.
“Infinite Beastmaster? Even warbeasts could sense danger and resist at any given moment. Is this sort of control considered genuine?” Given his relationship with his lifebound beasts, Tianming didn’t think that infinite beastmasters were so impressive. Even without soul eyes, he had still managed to get the superfiend to obey. Of course, he didn’t completely believe it; this was just a test. At the very least, the superfiend wasn’t getting involved in Qi Xuanzi’s fight, so he was able to leisurely watch as Yi Zhuojun avenged himself.
“Superfiend! Help me!!” Qi Xuanzi, who had lost his warbeasts, was very weak in battle and being completely crushed by Yi Zhuojun’s ruthless attack. Amidst the screaming, Qi Xuanzi’s heptastar organs were destroyed. He had died in battle.
The superfiend coldly watched. With Qi Xuanzi’s death, Tianming had won, three versus seven, or perhaps four versus six. Lin Linglin had even won without lifting a finger. The last green walnut emerged from Qi Xuanzi’s broken head and floated in front of Yi Zhuojun’s eyes. Yi Zhuojun was thrilled. Tianming was embarrassed to take it as well. After all, no one knew whether the walnuts meant life or death.
Yi Zhuojun couldn’t wait any longer and reached out to grab it. However, he never expected that the walnut would suddenly disappear before he could even touch it. In an instant, it appeared in front of Tianming and entered his head. In his head, the six walnuts adjusted their positions, forming a hexagon.
