Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 2382: Glorious Return

Chapter 2382 – Glorious Return

It was hard to imagine that the Order Relic had managed to enter Tianming’s body and entirely fill his albi, causing him to look completely pitch black, from his skin, to his eyes, and even his hair. It was as if he had been dunked in ink. And the changes weren’t superficial, either. Every single albus inside him was covered in black. Even the Prime Towers that had appeared in his albi after the manifestation of his prime wonder had endured the sudden inflow of the black current. His albi seemed to shudder and resonate as the primordial changes unfolded within his body. After a few moments, the black flow vanished all of a sudden, as if the Order Relic had never been there in the first place. Instead, its essence had been infused into his albi.

“I wonder what changes this will bring….” Tianming felt rather anxious about all this. Even though he had absorbed such a huge star into his body, it didn’t feel like his mass had changed at all. But he knew that, among all those terrifying changes, his albi had been altered in a way that he could barely comprehend. He could still feel the presence of his minor stellar charts, though, as well as the prime and carefree wonders that had been carved into his albi. Most importantly, his five-layered astral discs, Imperial, and Lifesbane Wills hadn’t changed. He was still a normal god, an eleventh-level sovereign.

However, there was still a lingering sensation that his state of being had fundamentally shifted. It didn’t take long before that sensation was reflected in his albi. Tianming noticed the patterns on the tower-shaped albi’s outer walls began twisting, causing his albi to reshape from towers to black spheres. Then holes started forming on those spheres, eventually setting into their hexagonal shapes. In essence, every albus in his body had turned into the shape of the Order Relic, which also somewhat resembled ordered manna and the order of astral gods.

“What in the world…. Did I just get turned into a chunk of charcoal?” He took a look at himself with his third eye in a hurry. “Phew!” While his albi had changed shape and color, he looked no different from how he did normally. The dark shade around him had faded away.

“I wonder what these changes will come to mean….” He had a feeling that the hexagonal holes of his albi were somehow connected. The countless albi seemed entangled in some fashion, forming a kind of structure.

“I’m still a normal god without a heptastar cosmic physique. My albi haven’t turned into astrons, so I guess the Order Relic only changed my state of being in some way? I wonder how these albi will change once I become an astral god.”

While his albi’s shapes had changed, it didn’t impact his use of the prime wonder at all. Throughout the entire process, there was nothing that could guide him. Even after it had ended, he still had no idea what to make of it. The fact that his minor stellar charts looked unchanged meant that he hadn’t broken through.

Though he was still filled with doubts, he turned his attention to his surroundings. The ancestral world had completely collapsed and he felt like he could be torn apart at any moment, even though he was in the middle of the storm. Faced with the world-ending tempest, he felt far too small.

“Huh?” Eventually, he felt something familiar. He looked ahead and found a black vortex before him. That must be the exit! He didn’t think twice and jumped straight into it. “There’s no point in trying to figure anything out right now. I’ll think about it once I get back.”

The world around him spun nonstop. He closed his eyes and let himself be swept along the waves, slowly feeling the changes in his body. “There’s a… structure?” More and more, he noticed that the albi that made up his body had gained countless potential configurations.

……

Many powerful elites had gathered at the entrance of the Oldgod Domain. The ebons, in particular, were stern and unpleasant, occupying a prime location and giving off a murderous vibe. The aura they radiated caused the atmosphere around them to tank. Many spectators in the distance didn’t dare to even breathe wrong, with even fewer daring to speak in hushed voices. They were all waiting to see the show unfold.

It was the only quiet place in all of Ebonia, with a storm brewing within.

At the head of the crowd, the tenth rex mundi, Chi Hun, stood with crossed arms and squinted. There were no longer any disciples of the ebons within the Oldgod Domain, so they should have been gone by then. The fact that they remained pointed to only one possibility: Chi Hun wanted to deal with Lin Feng.

As for how he intended to do so, nobody knew.

“With the reformists of the Swordgod Lin Clan standing with the ebons, Lin Lao’er’s in trouble….”

“Yeah, it doesn’t look good.”

“Let’s wait and see.”

“Lin Feng, impressive as he is, was simply born into the wrong era when his clan has a grudge with the rex mundi. He even managed to offend the ebons. If those two mighty powers won’t tolerate his presence, his first-place ranking will be pointless.”

“Sigh! This child and Lin Lao’er really have some bad luck.”

“I’m willing to bet that Lin Lao’er will fight with his life.”

“So what if he does? The ebons have far more people, and Chi Hun’s there as well. He lost his son, so he isn’t completely in the wrong.”

“Even though that’s the case, Lin Feng obtaining first place caused the Lin Clan to completely step over the ebons. It’s quite a scandal.”

“How brutal! As long as he survives this, his future will be endlessly bright! I heard that he has three terrifying wives as well, all of whom are around thirty.”

“Let’s hope he gets a chance to shine!”

Eventually, something happened at the entrance of the Oldgod Domain: a black vortex shaped like a hive opened up!

“It’s the gate to the ancestral world!”

“So Lin Feng didn’t reappear inside the Oldgod Domain, but out here instead?”

“That makes it even harder for him! At least he could hide in there, but he’s going straight to Chi Hun at this rate!”

“Lin Lao’er probably snuck into the Oldgod Domain to track him down, right? It’s over!” “Who could’ve expected this, sigh….”

Everyone watched as a white-haired figure emerged from the vortex. It was none other than Tianming!
