Chapter 2394: Reges Mundi Level

Chapter 2394: Reges Mundi Level

“That’s right.” Tianming shot her a thumbs-up, giving her the confidence she needed.

The mini ship rose into the air, piloted by Dongshen Yue. It looked like a small white sword cruising through the sky. She turned to look at the four youths behind her. Growing quickly is one thing, but these four each have some kind of mysterious talent. Whether it was Xiaoxiao’s capability to grow by consuming caeli, or Moran’s divine wonder assimilation, they were unquestionably impressive. Dongshen Yue had a feeling that the four youths beside her would be among the top figures in Ebonia in another two hundred or so years.

Instead of Tianming, Feiling gave her an even more mysterious impression. The girl was the only one she couldn’t figure out at all. Sometimes she even seemed to give off an ancient, eternal countenance. The look in her eyes seemed like that of an everlasting deity, which gave Dongshen Yue the chills. These children are still weak. I have to protect them and buy them time for them to create their own miracles. Mu’er, I wonder how you’d feel if you knew everything that’s happened up to now…. The tiniest tear welled up in her eye for the slightest moment.

……

According to Dongshen Yue, the reges mundi level was a part of the Caeli Vault that was situated beyond the seventh level. However, it was sealed off by a formation. Only swordgod disciples, branch leaders, and their spouses and above were allowed in, which meant there were only tens of people in the entire clan that had access to it at any time. “Normally, there’ll only be one or two people on that level. After all, branch leaders and the like usually won’t have much need for caeli any longer. It’s mostly time for them to forge their own path.”

“Understood!” In other words, the reges mundi level would be incredibly quiet.

The mini ship entered the Caeli Vault through many vortices.

“Look, it’s Lin Feng’s ship!”

“He’s going to the Caeli Vault, it seems.”

“He’s starting cultivating again? How hardworking.”

“It’s said that he didn’t have access to good cultivation resources back then. But now he’s in one of the best positions in Ebonia to cultivate. Hopefully he can improve even more.”

“A branch master who’s only around a hundred…. He’s the poster boy of the clan!”

“I heard that our business volume considerably grew because of his reputation. The Lin Feng merchandise the corporation produced sold out immediately.”

“Who knew that a kid of around a hundred years old could entirely change our clan.”

“Right? Even if I were a thousand, I’d still worship him.”

The fact that just by passing by would Tianming cause such a commotion made him understand how important he was to the clan.

I have to stay put and not cause any more waves. Taking a deep breath, he said, “Let’s go.”

The ship passed through the entrance of the seventh level and stopped at the ‘end’ of the sea. Ahead of it was a thick veil of fog.

“Grandma, Xiaoxiao, Little Fish, see you!” Feiling bade them goodbye and disembarked with Tianming. Normally, ships weren’t allowed to stop there, but Dongshen Yue had driven it straight to the entrance of the reges mundi level for safety. It wasn’t like anyone was there to see her do it.

Xiaoxiao and Moran didn’t have anything else to do, so they began to chat and gossip again.

“Hey, you two!” Dongshen Yue looked at them, speechless.

“What’s wrong, Grandma?” Xiaoxiao asked.

Dongshen Yue sat in between them and looked incredibly serious. “How are you two not jealous at all, seeing Feng’er spoil Ling’er alone?”

The two of them didn’t quite know how to answer that.

“Let me ask…. You two and him… have you… done that already? I know you’re all still very young, but Ling’er doesn’t seem to mind….”

“Ah….” The two of them blanked out in a panic.

“Not yet, I see.” Dongshen Yue could tell at a glance by their reaction. Why hadn’t her grandson done the deed with them to make it a fact? He couldn’t afford to let these two talented wives run off! That said, she had no idea that Xiaoxiao and Moran had already formed unbreakable bonds with Tianming, the former through an Omnisentient Thread and the latter by virtue of repaying the debt of having her life saved. They had never considered stepping between Tianming and Feiling at all. All they wanted was to… spend time with him, and in some way, they had benefited a lot from that. Xiaoxiao had been fed all the way, allowing her to grow. Moran, on the other hand, had nowhere to return to. She wouldn’t feel safe anywhere else, if Tianming wasn’t there. Dongshen Yue was just unnecessarily worrying.

……

“This formation wouldn’t be able to stop me. If I’d known this place existed, I probably would’ve snuck in a long time ago…. Forget it. I’d only be beaten up if someone caught me entering without permission.” Tianming used his disciple card to enter. He was no longer designated as the heir of the branch, but rather a swordgod disciple and master of the second branch. Feiling, on the other hand, was still listed as his official wife. They went through the formation hand-in-hand, only to be greeted with a powerful wave ahead of them. The sea had turned into a large vortex, in the middle of which was a gray region where the entrance to the reges mundi level was.

“Let’s go!” The black-robed youth escorted the girl in a short blue dress straight into the formation. Their clothes fluttered from the strong winds while their black and white hair mixed together, making quite a scenic picture.

As long as there were no seniors there, they would be the only ones within that level. But just as the two of them were about to fully enter, a youth with long golden hair emerged. It was Lin Lingxiao. While he was around a thousand years old and no longer considered a disciple, his privileges as a swordgod disciple remained. It was also said that he would soon be inheriting Lin Changkong’s position as master of the ninth branch.

“Lin Feng,” Lin Lingxiao greeted.

“Uncle Lingxiao.” Tianming saluted him.

“Haha, don’t be like that. You and my little sister are peers of the same generation. Just call me Brother.”

“Very well, Brother Lingxiao.”

“You did incredibly well. Even I was shaken by your performance. Looks like I’m no longer the number-one genius of the clan. You’re my successor, so you’d better work hard and live up to that name.”

Lin Changkong’s amazing reputation was partly due to his impressive son. Not even he had gotten fifth place on the minor reges mundi rankings, like his son had. Considering how warm Lin Lingxiao smiled, it seemed that he had fully acknowledged Tianming.

“I still require your guidance, Brother Lingxiao,” Tianming said.

“As long as our fates align, that won’t be a problem. I often come to this level, but I have to leave earlier today for something else. Next time, ask me anything you like.”

“Alright. Is there anyone inside?”

.

“No, it’s empty.” Lin Lingxiao passed them by and smirked. “Even though there’s nobody there, don’t do any naughty things inside! The caeli of past reges mundi are looking at you!”
