Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 2464: Take Control of Gladeus

Chapter 2464 – Take Control of Gladeus

“That bastard….” Lin Xiao, Lin Xiong, and the rest stood there dumbfounded, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

“Forget it. Saying goodbye again and again only makes it more depressing. This works as well.” Staring at the dark clouds in the sky, Lin Xiao smiled bitterly.

“It’ll be fine. Xiaodao and Feng’er are both bold and adventurous. They’ll dominate Gladeus. They have it easier than those caught in the middle like us,” Lin Xiong said.

“You’re right!” Lin Xiao nodded. “We’ll fully implement our plans when Changkong returns!” Now that Tianming was gone, he didn’t need their protection any longer so the elders wouldn’t have to hold back or be overly cautious.

“Yes!”

The Swordgod Lin Clan was united as one, like a sword revealing its sharp blade.

Mist covered the vast Infinitum Swordsea. The Reaper, which symbolized hope, soared into the sky, while the remaining members of the Lin Clan stepped onto the battlefield without a sliver of fear.

Lin Xiao took a deep breath and turned around. Dongshen Yue stood in the distance, looking up at the sky in a daze, tears falling down her cheeks. “Everything’s fine, wife. You can lean on my broad shoulders from now on.” He ran up to her.

“Get lost!”

……

Just a day ago, Tianming never could have imagined that he would leave Ebonia. He had been prepared to live there, quietly cultivating under the protection of his elders for decades. Looking at it now, moving to an environment where he could challenge himself was a good idea after all. The arrival of Lin Xiaodao had perfectly solved his predicament.

“Flying across the starry sky on an ether-class astralship really isn’t the same.”

Ahead of them, the sea of stars brightly shone, and behind them, Ebonia seemed like an endless abyss. From a distance, looking at the sixth-level nova source world sent chills up their spines.

The journey through the cosmos was undoubtedly lonely. But because he was accompanied by a thousand Lin disciples and was served by his wife and “concubines”, Tianming, who had just regained his hand, couldn’t be any happier. The four of them were filled with eagerness and fighting spirit; after all, they had finally escaped the uneasiness of being suppressed and were heading to a world where they were the powerful ones.

Was Gladeus small? Not at all. It was a tenth the size of Ebonia, which was still equivalent to ten thousand Violetglory Stars.

“Ling’er, there’s too many people right now. Let’s exchange pointers when we get to Gladeus and see whose astral god physique is stronger,” Tianming seriously said.

“Get lost!”

“Are you scared? Weakling, I’ll allow you to fight me in the Cerulean Starocean! All you have to do is open your dress!”

Even if the future was still uncertain, there would still be joy, enthusiasm, and hope wherever there were young people. Of course, the gloomy Reaper would be even more lively after his lifebound beasts evolved.

They didn’t disappoint Tianming and Xiaoxiao. Before arriving at Gladeus, all seven of them had successfully evolved. They now possessed three hundred thousand stars! Ebonia was a world of infinitum beastmasters. Any hundred-year-old genius who possessed lifebound beasts with a hundred thousand stars would be considered one of the best. The ordered manna had greatly transformed them. It was more than just an increase in size; their bloodlines had been transformed, which unlocked more abilities.

Tianming’s lifebound beasts were now enormous. After absorbing the Redsky Swordstar, Ying Huo became an even stronger astral god. The fiery phoenix soared in the air, reaching a wingspan of more than fifty thousand meters in its largest form. Each of its feathers were shaped like swords, so it looked like it was covered in countless red swords that erupted with Infernal Blaze and shone with starlight. Even its beak and claws were so sharp that it sent chills up the spine. It meant that its physical strength had been enhanced to a terrifying level. With its powers and ability to use battle arts, Ying Huo was an even more accomplished all-rounder than before. It was invincible on the ground and in the sky. When it rose into the air, all three hundred thousand stars sparkled in its eyes and all of the lifebound beasts on the Reaper bowed their heads. Tianming pictured Ying Huo devouring nova source worlds, like he had seen in his dream.

Its formidable might had taken form. The perfect aura of the Primordial Chaos Beasts seems to be able to suppress all other beasts. It was like innumerable blazing swords had all come together in one bird; the change was brought about by the Redsky Starsword. After its transformation, Ying Huo had gained a new ability, the Redsky Unistrike. Although it hadn’t had an opportunity to use it yet, Ying Huo claimed that it was its most lethal move yet.

In contrast, Meow Meow, who also had three hundred thousand stars, had fewer sword symbols on its body. The only change that reflected that was its eyes; its vertical pupils were now shaped like swords, entwined with countless lightning bolts. Much like Ying Huo, Meow Meow’s new ability, the Sauvastika Sword Formation, was its most powerful one yet, though its other abilities had improved as well. But compared to the Redsky Sword, which was a single-target attack, the Sauvastika Sword Formation damaged multiple targets.

The third one to successfully evolve was Lan Huang. As always, its transformation produced the most powerful visual impact. This time, it had also exploded in size. With the Primordial Sword, Lan Huang already had sword-shaped spikes that covered its entire body, and it was still covered in swords like before. But the effect of the Taia Starsword was extremely obvious. Facing Lan Huang was no different from standing in front of Mount Taia itself.

It had also gained a new ability, the Myriadstar Swordrings, which was an evolution and enhancement of its previous Kilofold Rings. With the use of its new ability, Lan Huang’s body would immediately be wrapped in more than ten thousand rings composed of swords. The rings surrounded it like stars, revolving around it at a high speed, and were capable of great destruction.

Xian Xian had undergone tremendous changes as well. Tianming originally thought that it would develop new flowers, but instead, its leaves, which were the biggest part of it, had all transformed and were shaped like swords. The sword-shaped leaves swaying in the wind resembled Tianming’s Myriadsword Providence. They were called Radixsword Leaves and could be used for both offense and defense. According to Xian Xian, they were stronger than any flower, but the changes would only be seen in actual combat.

And of course, there was Yin Chen. Its transformation was even more astonishing than Tianming had imagined. The little silver eggs had changed into a new form right before his eyes. They were now little silver swords that looked so real it was impossible to tell that they were living creatures. They were called galactic swordbugs. Billions of galactic swordbugs writhing in one place was indeed a terrifying sight. Because they were sharp and sturdy, the worms could actually be used as swords. However, that wasn’t all. The Shadow Starsword duplicated the invisible cockroach’s bloodline in the galactic swordbug, giving it the power of invisibility.

“That means no one can see these galactic swordbugs even if they spread throughout the battlefield. They won’t know what hit them!” Yin Chen’s combat powers had greatly increased.

“Pierce through… everything everything!” Yin Chen arrogantly said.

Unfortunately, its numbers remained the same, though the size of each Yin Chen had increased tenfold. That meant that each little silver egg could grow to the size of a human head, thus enhancing the strength of its other forms, such as locusts and cockroaches.

“Gladeus’ gravity is less than a tenth of Ebonia’s. If Yin Chen continues eating, one little egg could split into a hundred cockroaches that can freely move on Gladeus. I’ll have ten billion Yin Chens in battle, but almost a trillion for scouting.” Gladeus only had a population of twenty trillion. Yin Chen could spread all over the world.

“Awesome! They’re all very powerful.”

Finally, Tianming looked at Ji Ji. “Why haven’t you changed at all?” he asked.

“What kind of change were you thinking?” Ji Ji asked.

“That’s true, you’re just a ball,” Tianming said.

Ji Ji rolled its eyes at him. Any change in its strength depended on Tianming. It didn’t seem to feel any different after evolving; as long as Tianming’s cultivation level continued to grow, it could indefinitely increase in size. Once they arrived on Gladeus, Ji Ji should be able to absorb more nova source and grow. With Spiritual Attachment, his lifebound beasts would be even more powerful.

“I really want to fight someone to see how strong I’ve become.” Tianming could only wait.

Although the Archaionfiend had yet to complete its evolution, it looked terrifying. Tianming waited and waited until they finally arrived at Gladeus. The youths ran to the front of the astralship and excitedly looked out.

“Gladeus!”

Tianming stopped what he was doing and rushed out, leaving behind Feiling, who complained that her high-sanctuary-class cosmic artifact wasn’t enough to block two hands. He looked around. The space ahead was all gray like a hell of some kind. An enormous gray star loomed at the back of the rolling mist.

Even though he had seen Ebonia, Tianming’s heart still trembled as he stared at the fifth-level nova source world before him. Compared to an entire world, human beings were tiny. Gladeus’ gloomy silence shook them. All they could do was stare in amazement, barely able to speak complete words.

“Hey, does your master control both of the star’s great formations?” Ji Ji asked, listlessly sitting on Tianming’s shoulder.

“Yes,” Tianming said.

“Then go discuss with him,” Ji Ji urged.

“Discuss what?”

“Entering the nova source core. I’m going to dye this entire star pink and increase its defensive capabilities by at least thirty percent,” Ji Ji proudly said.

“Holy shit!” Tianming’s eyes lit up.

“And I thought Gladeus would be Yin Chen’s playground. I didn’t expect it would be yours!”

“I gotta stay low,” Ji Ji replied.

The Primordial Chaos Beasts that came later were even more terrifying. As the First Aeonic Ancestral Star, Ji Ji transcended living beings in some sense. Tianming couldn’t wait to toss it into Gladeus’ nova source.

“Thirty percent might not seem like much, but it might be enough to slaughter the ebons’ armies!”
