Chapter 2551 - Escorting the Sun
Chapter 2551 – Escorting the Sun
Those were important questions. Moving a nova source world would involve the lives of trillions. As the etherean of Gladeus and the eighth rex mundi, Lin Xiaodao’s every decision had to be made with caution, because he was responsible for countless lives.
Taking a deep breath, Tianming collected his thoughts and answered Lin Xiaodao’s questions.
“First, Ji Ji can sense more than half of the Infinitum Mundus. It isn’t very far from here, but it moves slowly because it’s a skypiercer-class world. Even if Ji Ji takes control, it may take five or six years to reach the Myriadstar Zone.” A nova source world couldn’t move as fast as an astralship, and it had taken Tianming more than two years to travel from the sun to Ebonia with the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.
“To answer your second question, if the Gladean Ruins was originally a product of my world, then I suspect it was previously an infinitum-class star. Ten thousand unowned nova sources are just a drop in the bucket for a world like that, even if there’s a few deific-class ones. I know the star and have great confidence in it!” In fact, he had erred on the side of caution. The Flameyellow Imperial Star was definitely above infinitum-class, but he kept that to himself for fear that Lin Xiaodao wouldn’t believe him. After all, it was unthinkable.
He continued, “Neither of its formations are powerful at all. In truth, it started off as a heliacal-class world, and in the process of upgrading it to a skypiercer-class world I realized that the formations could continuously improve as other functions are unlocked. But it’s more than a step above other nova source worlds of the same class.
“With the increase in nova source, my control over it also increases. Although ten thousand unowned nova sources won’t be enough to transform it into an ether-class world, it should be able to reach sanctuary-class. And I’m about ninety percent certain that it can resist an ether-class astralship!”
Tianming was confident in the strength of the flameyellow divinities. He had once seen the super sun in a mural in the wooden house, a sight even more shocking than Ebonia. The unowned nova sources in the Myriadstar Zone combined were about the same as Gladeus in terms of size. However, the nova source in a high-level star was compressed and concentrated. Thus, he had said sanctuary class. From what he knew about the sun, he wasn’t at all afraid to take a risk. After all, there were only so many unowned nova sources in the Infinitum Bodhimanda; if he didn’t try this time, it would take forever for the sun to return to its former glory.
He still had one more question to answer. “There’s several trillion people living on the sun, and they’re all under my rule. It might be a problem if the Ebonfiend targets them, but I still have a trick up my sleeve,” Tianming said.
“What?” Lin Xiaodao asked.
Smugly laughing, he said, “The sun has a star-cloaking formation that can hide the entire star. Besides, I’m sure that it absorbs nova source really quickly. With its star-cloaking formation, the sun can enter the Myriadstar Zone, absorb the nova sources, then leave, all while remaining completely hidden. The Star Hunters and ebons won’t know a thing. Anyway, it’ll take the Ebonfiend almost a month to travel from Ebonia to the Myriadstar Zone, which gives us enough time.”
Tianming wouldn’t have dared to leave the sun if it weren’t for the star-cloaking formation. In fact, he had another thought. The time the sun transformed into a skypiercer-class world, the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb had undergone an upgrade and he’d managed to integrate the core of the Blooddragon Palace. Who knew what other surprises its next transformation would bring? Although much was still a mystery, Tianming was almost certain there were more surprises in store. This was the reason he wanted to take a risk. Even if he were to later discover that the plan wouldn’t work, he could always turn the sun around.
“Last of all, I have a godfather that’s a full-blooded descendant of the flameyellow divinities. He might be able to unlock the palaces in the Gladean Ruins. He’s on the sun right now,” Tianming said.
After everything Tianming had said, even an easygoing man like Lin Xiaodao had become solemn. “Damn, you’re making my heart pound!” Lin Xiaodao shoved Tianming and burst out laughing.
“Master, what do you think?” Tianming eagerly asked.
“Calm down. There’s a few things I must confirm first.” Lin Xiaodao lowered his head in thought. A while later, he said, “So you want me to take you back to the sun?”
“No. Ji Ji can go—it’s much more powerful than it was before. It can definitely move a skypiercer-class world by itself, but it requires its entire body so it won’t be able to boost the Hellstar Formation and Gladean Ruins while it’s gone,” Tianming said.
Thus, Gladeus would return to its original color. Although Ji Ji could separate itself into three parts, they couldn’t be too far from one another. It was different from Yin Chen; it only had one body, so its entire body had to leave if it were traveling far distances.
“That’s fine. As long as I remain and have my infinitum-class astralship with me, the ebons won’t return for the time being. It’s safer for you to stay on Gladeus, as well.” Lin Xiaodao would have to give it further thought if Tianming wanted to leave. “So all we have to do is send Mistress Ji to your star, then sit and wait?” he asked.
“Yes. Use the Reaper just to be on the safe side. Didn’t you say that your eldest uncle and third uncle can pilot it?” Tianming asked.
“Alright, they can escort the sun here. Concealment happens to be a special function of the Reaper. And even if it’s targeted, no one can catch up to its speed.” Lin Xiaodao nodded. It would be safer if both Lin Zhongtian and Lin Zhonghai went.
“Yin Chen says that Lin Jie’s Judgment is near Gladeus. He has to keep an eye on us, so he won’t follow them.”
Lin Jie was a cunning bastard. The Gladean Ruins was the only thing he feared, so he would quickly hide as soon as he saw the astralship. If Lin Xiaodao didn’t have to remain near Gladeus, he would have already killed Lin Jie and destroyed his astralship.
“Well, that’s all the questions I have.” Lin Xiaodao looked at Tianming. “Even if we’re stuck on Gladeus, there’ll eventually be opportunities for you to become a top expert. Now that there’s a chance for you to speed up that process, why shouldn’t we take it? After all, the ebons and Star Hunters won’t take their defeats lying down and their attacks will only become more brutal over the next few decades….”
Thus, he came to a decision. He would take a chance with Tianming. At the very least, bringing Wudi to Gladeus would also mean new possibilities for the Gladean Ruins.
