Chapter 2585 - Fraction of Fatality

Chapter 2585 – Fraction of Fatality

The Star Hunters demonstrated sharp decisiveness.

“They’re leaving so soon?” Tianming thought the temptation would hold longer. If they didn’t use their trump cards to stop them from leaving, the Star Hunters would soon depart from the astralguard formation and there would never be another chance like this again.

“The Sun’s movement speed can’t match up to the ships. If we don’t deal with them now, they’ll stick to us from behind like flies and lure in other powerful forces! We have no choice but to wipe them out here and now!” Tianming and Wudi didn’t hesitate whatsoever at the notion. They couldn’t afford to bet on this being a feint. “Godfather, let’s do it! We’ll hold on for another ten hours or so!”

Lin Xiaodao had reported his location to them not too long ago. He was somewhat ahead of schedule.

“Alright, let us father and son start the party before he arrives!” Wudi said with a hearty smile.

“Alright!”

Tianming decided to no longer hide anything. Through the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb and Ji Ji’s control, he had the Flameyellow Fusion Formation steer the Sun in the direction of the Gladean Ruins. It would shave off the time Lin Xiaodao needed to arrive, though it also definitely proved to the Star Hunters that this was indeed a trap.

“Tianming my son! There’s still five hundred ships waiting outside the fusion formation. They’re mostly skypiercer class. Leave the ones inside to me while you take out the lookouts, as many as you can!” Wudi said.

“Got it!” Tianming had been planning to do just that. It would be easiest for the ships outside the astralguard formation to flee. While they were only skypiercer class, there were quite a lot of them. With enough numbers, they would be able to threaten heliacal-class worlds in the Infinitum Mundus. The Reaper was also using its full power, now that they no longer needed to pretend, so they no longer needed Tianming inside the formation.

The advantage Tianming had was that he was able to react quickly thanks to the information Yin Chen provided. Yin Chens were scattered across the various ships outside the Sun as well, constantly tracking their locations. Many of the bugs had crawled onto the ships’ surfaces. Tianming rose straight up through the flaming clouds, completely unobstructed by the formation. He could also tell that the formation’s power had increased tenfold in a short time from the intensity of the flames. More and more flameyellow fiends manifested as Wudi gave it his all. Though it was earlier than they had planned, his patience had already run out. “Those dogs will soon find that leaving will be ten times harder than coming in!”

The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb finally made it out into the astralscape, preparing to take on five hundred ships alone. The scout ships were spread out above the Sun’s formation, so gathering them all up for a single sweep was impossible. All Tianming could do was to destroy as many of them as he could during the chaos.

Wudi’s battle was arguably the more important of the two. The seven ether-class ships didn’t make it far before they discovered the increased intensity of the astralguard formation. The sea of flames wildly smashed against their ships like waves in a storm, rocking them to no end!

“How can this sanctuary-class astralguard formation be so powerful?!”

The Star Hunter elites were all flabbergasted. This was a bad omen!

“I won’t let you bastards leave!” Wudi roared, his voice amplified by the formation. The leaders of the Star Hunters turned back and saw the coffin flying toward them once more. A red-haired man with exposed chest hair was standing atop it. He was the embodiment of rage itself! All of a sudden, the number of flameyellow fiends behind him quadrupled to forty thousand! The pink fiends completely filled their field of vision. The Star Hunters’ enraged expressions turned into ones of pale shock!

At the same time, the nine-thousand-odd ships that had just risen into the formation reported that they’d been swarmed by flameyellow fiends as well! The flames that battered away at their ships were ten times more powerful than before. Fifty thousand other flameyellow fiends were tasked with dealing with all those other ships! The nova-source-fueled flames in the formation were quite potent against skypiercer-class ships. Coupled with the fiends, the ships were as good as done for.

“What does this all mean?!” the man in the blood cocoon snapped.

“This was all a trap!” The white-haired man widened his eyes, his fingers uncontrollably shaking. Ten thousand flameyellow fiends had turned into ninety thousand, not to mention the power increase in the astralguard formation’s flames!

“Impossible!” Every one of the Star Hunter elites shook their heads in disbelief.

“If every single one of these three-headed, six-armed creatures are as powerful as they were before, then this astralguard formation’s definitely not just sanctuary class! It’s ether class at the very least!”

“Impossible! No sanctuary-class world in all of history could possibly have an ether-class formation! There’s simply no way!”

“Something’s wrong. Maybe it’s just an illusion! The divine wonderians love scaring people with tricks like these!”

As they argued, countless shrieks of agony howled out from their transmission stones. The Reaper had also entered the astralguard formation. Lin Zhongtian started hunting down the enemy ships based on coordinates that Wudi provided. The fifty thousand new flameyellow fiends also swarmed the ships that attempted to leave. All the while, Tianming was taking care of the lookouts outside the sun. It was an assault on all fronts!

The Star Hunter elites were all stupefied. It had been a trap all along, yet it still didn’t sink in. “This is clearly just a sanctuary-class world…. How could it be so powerful?”

Everything concerning the Flameyellow Imperial Star, from the Gladean Ruins to the Flameyellow Guard Formation, defied conventional expectations. Chaos broke out among the ranks of the Star Hunters! However, this wasn’t the three bosses’ first rodeo; they quickly snapped out of it and reacted.

“Do not panic! We found out about this with enough time to spare. There’s still half a day before the Gladean Ruins’ arrival. We can retreat! Watch out for each other and make sure all of us emerge from the onslaught! As long as we survive, we’ll repay this debt of blood thousands of times over! Let’s not forget that they were the ones who tried to wipe us all out first out of fear! We’ll let these cowards learn the true terror we’re capable of!”

“Yeah!” The spirits of the Star Hunters rose from that speech. All of them were hot-blooded, cutthroat daredevils to begin with. Since the day they’d first soared through the astralscape, they’d considered themselves as good as dead and had experienced many hardships. Turning from hunters to the hunted, they burned with rage and humiliation. All of the divine astralships sped up as they desperately tried to leave the astralguard formation!
