Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 2600 - Sixth

Chapter 2600 – Sixth

The big boss of the Star Hunters was no more. Their only troops that remained were some sixty thousand disorganized astral gods. Sweeping them all up was something that would take a dozen days; there was no longer any doubt that Tianming’s plan had worked.

“This battle is wrapped up for good.” Tianming breathed out a sigh of relief. The Sun had emerged victorious in a crucial battle! “From now on, we’ll soar freely as birds!”

The storm clouds had parted to reveal a bright future.

“If you want that, all you had to do was not zip up your fly,” Ying Huo added, ruining the moment. Feiling, Xiaoxiao, and Moran all looked at it, blanking out like idiots.

……

Half a month later, the Star Hunters that’d caused the tragedy at Greenglow had completely vanished from the astralscape. Apart from some two hundred ships that remained outside the Sun as lookouts, those that had attacked were basically all taken out.

Tianming had been quite busy collecting spoils and bringing them to the Sky Palace Formation. There was simply far too much! All of it combined made him even richer than the Lin Clan! There were so many spoils that they piled up to form mountains.

There wasn’t a need to worry about the Star Hunter lookout ships, as Lin Xiaodao would deal with them. They were skypiercer-class ships at best, and were barely a threat. To defend against the ebons, Lin Xiaodao also had twenty thousand astral gods stationed on the Sun while he returned to Gladeus. The Sun also began to move and engaged its cloaking formation, choosing subterfuge while its residents underwent a growth spurt.

Tianming wouldn’t be returning to Gladeus. Then again, it was only a three-day voyage away from the Sun. Wudi, on the other hand, busied himself with helping the denizens of the Sun absorb the Flameyellow Bloodsoul to improve their bloodlines. Tianming even had some people from the Lin Clan try to absorb it. While their compatibility with the Flameyellow Bloodsoul was lower than that of those from the Sun, it was still better than the Violetglorians’.

The days ahead seemed peaceful and stable. Manna with more than eighty apertures that could be used to create lifebound beasts with around eight hundred thousand stars was only a part of the loot gained from the Star Hunters, which could greatly benefit the people as a whole. While Tianming couldn’t let Ying Huo and the rest absorb manna with that many apertures yet, he couldn’t wait for the day to come. Having them in his possession early wasn’t a bad thing.

“The Sun is now sanctuary class, and the Star Hunters have been wiped out. The magnitude of these events doesn’t pale in comparison to the time Lin Xiaodao had held off Shenxi Xingtian!” Tianming could only imagine how the Ebonians were reacting to the news. No doubt, most people wouldn’t be able to believe it. As for what the elites and regal clans thought about the battle, Tianming couldn’t care less. All that mattered was that he knew the extent of their capabilities afterward.

“Only Lin Xiaodao is capable of killing the three bosses in a row like that. Otherwise, it’d be pointless even if we took down their ships.”

With the Gladean Ruins back on Gladeus, all Tianming could do was head to Starting City to cultivate. There was no helping being tempted to go to the Skyhold Bridge whenever he was there with Xiaoxiao and Feiling, so they did. Within a short month, they rocked the wondersky realm once more by getting four wins in a row at the Skyhold Bridge, extending their streak to six in a row. They only needed four more for them to clear the bridge. Their piece of the bridge was like a huge, long island that was stabler than ever.

“I’ll be able to get the imperial-class divine wonders after a few more battles, eh?” Voidback City seemed only a step away. However, the power of the other opponents that also had a win streak of six was not to be underestimated. Tianming and the rest had almost lost the previous match, after all. Should that happen, they would be banned from entering Starting City for a year, thereby losing access to the foundation caeli within. Thus, Tianming chose to stop. He wasn’t in that much of a rush. Even then, he made sure to visit Starting City every day to get to know the fellow geniuses of the Skydome Mundus.

……

Tianming and Feiling finished cultivating for the day and walked along the streets of Starting City. All of a sudden, a plain-looking youth clad in white came to them. Tianming knew him as Fu Xun of the sacred shamans. He was around four hundred years old and was an eleventh-astral orderan. Based on their previous conversations, he had a pleasant attitude. However, Tianming noticed his gaze was slightly odd this time around.

He stood in front of Tianming with his face really close to his, looking intensely at him with an odd smile that carried a hint of teasing mockery. It was quite different from the polite expression he had worn the last time they spoke.

“Is something wrong?” Tianming asked.

“Yes.” Fu Xun put his hand on Tianming’s shoulder and got closer to his ear. With an eerie tone, he said, “We haven’t seen each other for quite a while. Have my foolish elder brothers and sisters gotten more retarded? Sigh, they’ve fallen so low that they’re at rock bottom. Poor things.”

Tianming seemed quite taken aback. What was he talking about? “Are you sure you have the right person?”

“I definitely do, oh mighty Primordial Chaos Beastmaster.” Fu Xun backed off a bit and smiled at Tianming, causing him to feel a chill from his head to toe. There was only one who would say such a thing to him.

“Sixth!”

“Shhh….” Fu Xun put his finger near his mouth to shush him. Then he adjusted his clothes and said, “Don’t label me with a number. It’s so demeaning. You have no right.”

Tianming was utterly confused. He took a deep breath to calm himself down. “What’re you trying to do? Why’d you look for me?”

“Who’s looking for you? I was just playing around and happened to run into you.”

“You can even enter wondersky realms?” Tianming didn’t understand why it took the form of Fu Xun, a human caelum.

“You mean the Xenoworld? I’m omnipresent here.” Fu Xun took a few steps back and shot Tianming an even more demeaning glance. “It’s still not time, but since I ran into you, I’ll tell you one last thing. What you owe us, you have to give back.” It was a threat. He began to chuckle.

Tianming didn’t know what it was talking about. There were far too many unknowns about it. “Where’s Feng and Qingyu?”

“What do you think?” Fu Xun shrugged and backed off more. “I ate them, of course.”

Tianming glared at it with his brows furrowed. This was a troublesome one; it was probably a dream demon of some sort. While he didn’t believe what it said about Lingfeng and Qingyu, that didn’t make him feel any less agitated.

“How boring. See you around.” Fu Xun kept staring at Tianming before his eyes rolled back in his head and he blinked. Then he began blankly looking around. “Li Tianming? Why am I standing here?”

“Who are you?”

“Fu Xun! Have you forgotten?”

Tianming shook his head. His sixth Primordial Chaos Beast was far too mysterious.
