Chapter 2622 - Army of Ten Billion
Chapter 2622 – Army of Ten Billion
After the toast, they jumped into action. Lin Xiaodao got into the Gladean Ruins and used transmission stones to notify the clan members on Gladeus to prepare. They almost forgot about Gongyang Yan with all their spirited proclamations. She caught up on what they had decided with a blank stare and gave chase to Lin Xiaodao when he began running.
“Curse you, Lin Xiaodao! You’d have our Gongyang Clan move to an unknown backwater? Did you even bother asking me?!”
“Catch me if you can.” Lin Xiaodao rolled his eyes and sped off with her.
Once they were gone, Tianming and Wudi exchanged glances, their eyes burning with enterprising spirit. “Let’s do it!”
The Sun began moving once more. The ebons would never have expected that discovering the Sun wouldn’t cause them to run and hide. Instead, they rallied themselves to break out of encirclement. The Sun made its way toward Gladeus; the ratio of the two star’s sizes would be changing soon.
……
When the Star Hunters were raiding the Myriadstar Zone, Lin Xiaodao had gone to see Yi Daiyan. Back then, Yushan Taifeng had told him that the rex mundi was in seclusion without granting him an audience. As such, he didn’t bother to reach out to Yi Daiyan when the decision was made for the Sun to plunder the Myriadstar Zone, nor when the decision to borrow two-thirds of Gladeus’s nova source had been made. With her in seclusion, no missives would be able to reach her.
The relationship between the Lin Clan and Yi Daiyan wasn’t good to begin with. They had only been forced to adopt the same side because of the ebons.
The ebons were just about to start making their grand play. In a time of crisis, Yi Daiyan’s silence did not waver in the slightest. Thus, Tianming and the others had decided to take matters into their own hands. The three of them made a bold and decisive call without even looking back.
On the day their plan was finalized, Lin Xiaodao returned to Gladeus to put things into action right away. They would be mobilizing some ten billion people in the operation. With numbers like that, there were bound to be covert ebon informants among them. Word of their actions would no doubt spread. As such, they had to have a lock on the coordinates of the Ebonfiend before it was to go down.
Luckily for them, the Ebonfiend had appeared in Ebonia due to the Infinitum Regal Clans there getting a bit restless, allowing the infinitum-class ship to be pinpointed, much to the relief of Tianming and the rest. As for other ships, it would take them a month or more to make it to Gladeus, which was more than enough time.
The Sun no longer had to cloak its location and could go at full speed toward Gladeus. That distance could easily be covered in some twenty-odd days. The key was that Lin Xiaodao would have to also get Gladeus to move toward the Sun, when it had remained in the exact same spot for millions of years. Since they were already about to let the Sun take two-thirds of its nova source, they no longer cared about the Infinitum Bodhimanda’s prohibition on moving their nova source worlds, a law that was meant to curb the waste of nova source.
From the astralscape, one could clearly see two stars, one gray and the other crimson and gold, moving toward each other as if they were about to collide. It took only around ten days for the Sun and Gladeus to encounter one another. The Sun, without its cloaking formation, burned bright red and gold. Seas of flame raged above its surface. Gladeus, on the other hand, had turned off the Hellstar Formation for the first time in ten or so years. The hellstar reaper sword condensate had completely dissipated.
Countless Gladeans looked past the storms above and saw a golden star immeasurably close to them in the sky. Should one be piloting a divine astralship between those two stars, they would see them orbiting one another like a binary star system. With one star being three times the size of the other, they resembled the twin stars of Skywolf. Having the two stars fight while watching each other’s backs had been Tianming’s initial plan. He piloted the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb between the two stars, marveling at the impressive sight.
“Now that we’ve made our decision, we must quickly settle the matter!” He couldn’t wait to see the ether-class Sun come into being. The thought of it growing to three thousand times its initial size, let alone ten thousand, was already breathtaking enough.
What was even more impressive was the sight of Lin Xiaodao leading countless divine astralships towards the Sun. They weren’t going to enter the Sky Palace Formation for protection, either, but would fight in the upcoming battle! They were ten billion elite fighters from the tenth branch of the Lin Clan, as well as other followers of Lin Xiaodao like the Deepsoul Gongyang Clan. Those loyal followers made up seven-tenths of the ten billion elite troops, making for quite a complex group.
Among them were two hundred thousand astral gods, seventy thousand of whom were from the tenth branch, who would join the forces of the Sun. In return, Tianming would also let them partake of Flameyellow Bloodsoul so that they would truly become one of the denizens of the Sun.
There were far too many astralships zooming along; they had even brought the heliacal-class ones with them. There were a hundred thousand of them in total, all carrying elite warriors and their families toward the Sun. Tianming let them in by opening up the Flameyellow Guard Formation, and just like that, the exodus was complete. It was surprisingly efficient, as most of those who were moving carried a grudge against the ebons. They didn’t hesitate much before committing to the move. Everything took only ten days to complete.
“This must be a sign of how much they trust me and Old Lin.” The foundation of their fellowship was trust and faith. While ten billion didn’t seem like a large number, all of them were part of the fighting force and were far stronger than the current denizens of the Sun. Before their arrival, the only astral gods on the Sun were Tianming, Wudi, Feiling, and Moran.
The countless divine astralships made neat lines behind the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb. Only a world large enough would be able to accommodate people at this scale.
The Gladean Ruins made its way to the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb’s side. Tianming and Lin Xiaodao cruised side by side.
“Let’s begin. I’ve made an opening in the fusion formation near the Skycross Lin Clan’s territory.” Raging nova source poured out of the core of Gladeus at the aforementioned spot, destroying everything the tenth branch had built. Thankfully, Lin Xiaodao was the administrator of Gladeus, or Tianming wouldn’t have such an easy time accessing the nova source within the fusion formation. The sight of all those ships in the sky wasn’t anything too shocking for the Gladeans to behold, but the sight of nova source leaking out near the territory of the Skycross Lin Clan had caused an uproar.
