Chapter 2628 - Celestial Tome

Chapter 2628 – Celestial Tome

In the days that followed, time seemed to pass at a snail’s pace. Slowly, Tianming moved the ether-class Sun to the battlefield! The Flameyellow Fusion Barrier had also transformed once more, amplifying the power of the Sun.

Now, they played a waiting game. They would react to any move the enemy made. Information flowed from Ebonia.

The ebons, five Infinitum Regal Clans, and hundreds of peak-level families had come together under the banner of the Infinitum Bodhimanda to create the Exterminatus Army with the mission of quelling Xiaodao’s rebellion. This news had already spread through the mundus, as such a large-scale operation couldn’t be concealed.

The Sun had to make thorough preparations. What greatly surprised Tianming was that, before the departure of the Exterminatus Army, they had obtained an unexpected gain. After the Gladean Ruins moved to the ether-class Sun, Wudi absorbed Flameyellow Bloodsoul every day and conducted tests in the secret rooms. On one particular day, during one of his routine tests, he unexpectedly opened a secret room.

When the secret room opened, both Tianming and Xiaodao were alerted. Tianming was in the mural room practicing the Carillon Imperatoris at the time. They rushed over quickly and witnessed the secret room’s doors vibrating, splitting open with a thunderous boom.

“What’s going on?” Tianming asked, bewildered.

“Nothing special! When I gave this door a push with my manly body, it opened wide in fear,” Wudi said.

“Is it open?” Xiaodao’s eyes lit up. It was a pleasant surprise. “Hurry, let’s go inside and take a look.”

The three of them took a deep breath. Tianming and Xiaodao, holding Wudi in front of them, cautiously entered.

The Gladean Ruins was quite large, and the sizable room resembled an inheritance room, giving a sense of boundlessness. Deathly silent and still! The sound of their breathing was clearly audible.

“Looks like there’s something over there.” Xiaodao pointed ahead.

“Let’s go!” Fearless due to his Flameyellow Bloodline, Wudi took bold strides forward, only to crash into something, his head producing a loud thud.

“Ah!” His painful cry even echoed.

“What’s going on?” Tianming touched ahead and discovered that there seemed to be an endless wall. However, it didn’t feel too solid, more like a papery texture. It was just incredibly thick and imposing.

“Let me try.” Xiaodao took a deep breath and his chest puffed up like a toad. He exhaled and, for a moment, a storm swept through the room. He used it to explore the edges of the black wall. “It’s quite massive!”

“Hmm?” Suddenly, Tianming noticed that, from their position at the center, the black wall started emitting light. The colorful lights resembled ripples in water, expanding and rippling across the massive black wall. The entire secret room was shrouded in a rainbow of light.

“Are these celestial patterns?” Tianming asked.

“Yes!” Xiaodao nodded.

As they spoke, the black wall was completely covered by the colorful patterns and they became more and more concentrated. It was impossible to count them all.

“What’s this?” Wudi asked.

“Let’s step back and take a look.” Xiaodao grabbed them and pulled them back till the door, allowing Tianming to finally capture the whole wall in his sight.

“The Lin Clan’s Registry Formation?” Tianming was astonished. Rather than a wall, it was more like a book. The wall was, in fact, one page of a book. When he looked at the side, he could see that there were tens of thousands of walls!

Xiaodao, whose once-gray eyes were now reflecting various colors, said, “No.”

Tianming raised his head and noticed that he was quite excited.

“This isn’t a formation!” Xiaodao continued.

Tianming felt it was somewhat similar to the Lin Clan’s Registry Formation.

“What is it?” Wudi and he simultaneously asked.

“It’s a tome! It’s a method of engraving celestial patterns in a fixed pattern onto a blank tome. It’s more challenging than creating an astralguard or divine astralship formation. It’s extremely rare in the universe!” Xiaodao explained.

“Heavenly pattern tomes? Divine ordered tomes? I’ve seen plenty of those.” Tianming shrugged.

“Stop talking nonsense! Could it be to the same tier? Look at its size…. It should be a celestial tome! The complexity of its celestial patterns is on par with an astralguard formation, just slightly simplified! It’s this large and thick, so it’s very likely to be infinitum-class! Its destructive power….” Xiaodao was almost incoherent.

Of course Tianming understood how those things worked. In simple terms, they were single-use items.

“Infinitum-class?” The massive, colorful book in front of them resembled an upright island almost as big as a skypiercer-class starship! How many years of effort would it take to create such densely packed celestial patterns?

“You can’t create something like this in the Infinitum Mundus, not even ether-class celestial tomes! I guess deific-class do exist, though…” Xiaodao muttered.

Although there was only one tome, Tianming was still shocked.

“Old Lin, what kind of destructive power can it unleash if used?” Tianming asked.

“It’s hard to say. After all, I’ve never seen one before. But if you were to crash it into a densely packed area of the enemy’s fleet, I estimate that even the astralship formations of ether-class astralships could be destroyed!” Xiaodao exclaimed with excitement.

“Really?”

“That powerful?”

The father-son pair were dumbfounded.

“Of course! Look at how complex it is. With tens of thousands of pages, each with trillions of strokes, how many years would it take to create this? It couldn’t even have been completed in a single generation! Building one of these is even more challenging than constructing a ship. Its existence is already a miracle!” Xiaodao explained.

“So it’s a colossal weapon?” Wudi grinned.

“It might come in handy in the upcoming ‘Nation-Establishing War’.” Xiaodao’s eyes narrowed with a cold smile.

“We’ll entrust it to my son. If his life is ever in danger, he can use it to save himself.” Wudi patted Tianming’s shoulder.

“Me? I don’t even know how to use it, Godfather. You opened the door, so you should use it,” Tianming replied.

“It’s simple. Just store some Flameyellow Bloodsoul, and when you drip it, it’ll explode,” Wudi explained.

“How do you know that?” Tianming asked.

“Duh, it’s written right there.” Wudi pointed.

Tianming looked up and saw several colorful characters within the multitude of celestial patterns on the first page of the tome.

“Activate with Flameyellow Bloodsoul. Thank you.”
