Chapter 2678 - Interdimensional Line
Chapter 2678 – Interdimensional Line
“Coordinate marker?” Tianming didn’t understand for a moment. He held the crescent-shaped dart and carefully examined it. Aside from the peculiar power of the Xenoworld, he also sensed a familiar aura.
“It should be related to Qingyu….”
The sixth Primordial Chaos Beast, Lingfeng, and Qingyu! Their departure had always been a major concern for Tianming—especially Sixth. It was an outlier among the Primordial Chaos Beasts and had escaped his control. He knew very well how terrifying the Primordial Chaos Beasts were. The fact that one had escaped meant extreme danger.
Sixth had mentioned that it’d eaten Lingfeng and Qingyu…. During the recent turmoil on the Sun, Tianming had been responsible for the lives of tens of trillions of creatures and had to engage in a battle to the death with the Exterminatus Army. They had only just stabilized the situation.
He had never expected a unique marker to appear.
“If it’s really related to Qingyu, the timing couldn’t be better.” The matter needed to be discussed with Wudi. He was also worried about his daughter, but the Sun couldn’t do without him. In other words, Tianming had let his godfather down a bit.
Xiaodao took the crescent-shaped dart from Tianming and examined it for a while. He said, “I was right, it’s a coordinate marker from the Xenoworld. The Xenoworld is a world without ‘distance,’ or you could say its spacetime is chaotic beyond comprehension. To move through it and reach a specific location, coordinates are crucial. This coordinate marker essentially condenses the power from a certain location in the Xenoworld. If we enter holding this, the Xenoworld power on it will automatically return to its initial point and we’ll consequently arrive at the location of the coordinate.”
“So, if I enter the Xenoworld, I can reach a certain place. Is someone in that place signaling for me to come?” Tianming asked. Qingyu’s weapons, aside from the longsword, included darts. This crescent-shaped dart had her unique characteristics.
“It may not necessarily be a signal specifically for you. Each nova source world has an opening to the Xenoworld. Being able to accurately throw coordinates through those openings requires highly advanced technology. Even Rex Mundi Meng Ying might not accurately find the entrance to our Sun, so it’s possible that you just happened to run into it. The principle is kind of like throwing a message in a bottle into the ocean and having it coincidentally picked up by a beautiful lady on the other side,” Xiaodao said very casually.
“Is that so?” Tianming took back the crescent-shaped dart and held it in his hand. “I’ll call godfather over.”
“Okay.”
Tianming exited the Sun’s core. It could only be opened by him, and it was even safer than the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb. The entrance was even within the Sky Palace Formation.
Upon hearing news of Qingyu, Wudi immediately dismissed the others who were absorbing the Flameyellow Bloudsoul from the Flameyellow Coffin. He drove the Flameyellow Coffin and rushed to the Sun’s core.
Tianming told him about the crescent-shaped dart and Xiaodao’s explanation.
“It’s my daughter! It must be her! She must’ve found a way to send this thing here! She must need help!” Wudi’s eyes widened, and, after taking it, he changed his previous casual attitude, speaking with a serious expression.
“Godfather—”
“My intuition tells me it’s her! I’m going to save her!” Wudi looked at the entrance to the Xenoworld.
“Stranded in the Xenoworld?” Xiaodao was hearing that for the first time and pulled Wudi back, saying, “Brother Li, don’t get too excited. The Xenoworld is a mysterious and unfamiliar place. Without a xenomemory rope to pull you back, once you enter, you’ll never return. Even your flesh and blood will be devoured by xenofiends. Except for the divine wonderians, no races can freely travel through the Xenoworld.”
“Do you have a xenomemory rope?” Wudi asked.
“I do.” Tianming had kept the rope he’d used to enter the Xenoworld from the Divine Moon Realm before. After searching for a while, Tianming finally found the rope in a corner of his spatial ring.
Xiaodao rolled his eyes. “What toy is this? It’s so fragile… it’s like using a piece of thread to catch an elephant. With this thing, you won’t be able to come back.”
Tianming suddenly realized that he had become an astral god now, which was vastly different from when he was just an ordinary god.
“Brother Lin, do you have a better one?” Wudi asked.
“I have a relatively better one, which was passed down from the ancestral lineage of Gladeus.” While Xiaodao searched, he continued explaining, “Xenomemory ropes are essentially made from materials extracted from the Xenoworld. The material is special, not part of the matter from the astralscape. Supposedly, it’s water drawn from a certain ocean in the Xenoworld, after which it solidifies into a rope. The rope becomes tougher based on where the water was extracted from. The closer to the center of that ocean, the more tenacious the cord and the longer it extends inside the Xenoworld.”
There was no distance in the Xenoworld, and you could teleport to any place with coordinates. However, longer xenomemory ropes indeed made movement inside the realm more convenient. One could even engage in battle as long as they were careful about protecting their rope.
“Here it is!” Xiaodao finally brought out a bundle of rope. Tianming looked closely and realized that his hand was empty. There was nothing there but some subtle ripples of water. Judging by the curve of his arm, there had to be something in his hand.
“This is an interdimensional line. Regardless of how sharp your eyes are, it’s invisible, yet it genuinely exists. It’s something drawn from a certain ocean in the Xenoworld. Initially, this thing didn’t exist in the astrascape of order. This one, belonging to Gladeus, or even the affordable one in your hand, were first sold by the divine wonderians, who made their early fortune by selling ‘Xenoworld excursion ropes’. This interdimensional line in my hand isn’t cheap. It’s said to allow unrestricted travel to any place in the extradimensional realm. Not even an infinitum-class artifact can cut it in a short time, which ensures maximum safety,” Xiaodao said.
“Great!” Tianming and Wudi exchanged glances.
“My son is the future of the Sun and he bears great responsibility. We can’t afford to risk him. The nation-founding war just ended, and this is the best place for you to cultivate. Over there, my daughter needs me to go!” Wudi immediately said.
“Godfather, your cultivation level is too low. You can’t even activate the Flameyellow Coffin when you leave the Sun. Going there will be of no use. If there are any problems, you’re likely to be in danger. Let me go. I’ll bring them back.”
Xiaodao laughed.
“Why’re you laughing?” Tianming and Wudi said in unison.
“Did you forget about your very own Eighth Rex Mundi here? I’m nearly a foundationeer, and the strongest person on the Sun. Of course I should be the one going to the Xenoworld.” As Xiaodao spoke, he tied the rope to his leg. Then he handed an invisible, sticky water cord to Tianming and said, “Hold on tight. I’ll pull it three times to bring me back.”
Tianming grit his teeth. “Master, good luck on your journey.”
“Don’t get lost halfway.”
“Thanks for your good wishes.” Xiaodao rolled his eyes, and without further hesitation, directly entered the vortex of the Xenoworld with the crescent-shaped dart.
Tianming and Wudi both took deep breaths, rather nervous.
“Wait, he hasn’t met my daughter. How can he bring her back?” Wudi pointed out.
Tianming was stunned.
