Chapter 2682 - Tribe of Giants
Chapter 2682 – Tribe of Giants
“This is the outskirts of Silverfox Village, which I’m a villager of!” Beibei said.
“Silverfox Village?”
Tianming hadn’t heard of villages for a long time. He was born in Flamehaven. Even if it was a small city on the fringes of the Flameyellow Continent, it still had a population of tens of thousands. He had never ever been to a place smaller than that. Now, Tianming was in control of a world with trillions of living beings and couldn’t even fathom what a ‘village’ meant!
“Beibei, where does Silverfox Village belong to? For example, which continent?” Tianming asked.
“It belongs to Creektown! We have a small creek nearby that leads all the way to Creektown. Creektown has many amazing people!” Beibei said with a hint of yearning. “When I grow up, I want to live in Creektown with my mother to cure her illness,” she added.
Tianming was a bit overwhelmed. “I was asking about the place that Creektown belongs to, what’s the name of the world we’re standing on?”
“It’s just called Creektown.”
“What about beyond Creektown?”
“It’s called the ‘Outside World’,” Beibei innocently said.
Tianming was speechless. Even though she was big, she seemed so naive.
“What else?” Tianming asked.
“I don’t know. My mom doesn’t let me wander. It’s very scary, there’s man-eating wild beasts everywhere! I don’t dare to go out, I’m afraid I’ll get eaten and turn into a stinky mess, which is so disgusting!” Beibei said with a look of repulsion.
“Man-eating wild beasts?” Tianming felt that they might be wildbeasts. But since there was no nova source here, they had likely absorbed the power of the Xenoworld.
“What’s the name of this energy here?” Tianming asked.
“Xeno source,” Beibei replied. She seemed quite happy that she could answer that question and hummed a melodious tune.
“What about the vortex above our heads?”
“That’s the ordered sea! It’s a magical place. When I was a little over a hundred years old, my caelum went up there and found an order. It made me an astral god!” Beibei proudly said.
“How old are you now?” Tianming asked, sweating.
“I’m nearly three hundred. My mom says that, in another two hundred years, I’ll finally be an adult!” Beibei said.
Tianming was stunned. She was a simple villager, but they became adults at five hundred! Flamehaven had quite a few people, but the average lifespan wasn’t even seventy. People in their sixties or seventies were already great-grandparents.
The attire Beibei was wearing was quite primitive, showing no signs of advanced production.
So, in a place that appears so primitive, the level of lifeforms here is actually very high? With that in mind, he asked, “Beibei, your level of talent, what category is it in your village?”
“Of course it’s really good! Above average! I’m hoping that once I grow up and get to Creektown, I can join a martial arts academy there. If there’s a teacher willing to guide me, I might have a chance to become a cosmic cartographer!” Beibei’s eyes sparkled as she envisioned the future.
“So when you were born, you were already a god?” Tianming asked. That was definitely at the level of Ebonia. However, he vaguely felt that her talent might be higher than that. The only difference was that it was clear that this was a very desolate world with a sparse population. Yin Chen had been out for a while and still hadn’t encountered a second person.
“What’s a god? There are only mortals and astral gods. I was born as a mortal at the ascendant stage,” Beibei said in confusion.
Tianming was stunned again. She didn’t even know what a god was. That indicated that, in this world, there really were no beings below gods. Upon reflection, it made sense! This place was directly beneath the sea of order, just under the sea of the world’s rules! Furthermore, xeno source nourished the soul. Thus, as long as the inhabitant’s soul levels were high, their talent should be quite impressive and the bloodlines passed down must be terrifying. It was just that ordinary people would be fooled into assuming they were barbarians based on their primitive styles. Beibei, this girl, wore simple clothing made from fabric and animal skins, but they were harvested from top-tier wildbeasts.
Being primitive didn’t mean being weak! But the world was just too vast, which made their power seem insignificant.
“Alright!” Tianming was somewhat speechless, but he still smiled. He distinctly felt that it would be quite difficult to ask Beibei about Qingyu, even though she seemed cooperative. Despite that, he tried approaching the subject.
“Beibei, in the last ten years or so, have you seen any other aliens like me? Like a girl with a hair color like mine?” Tianming asked.
Beibei scratched her fox ear and, with a puzzled expression, said, “Tiny big brother, you’re really forgetful! I said from the beginning that you’re the first outworlder I’ve seen!” Even though she was big, her cheerful demeanor was truly refreshing.
“Is that so? Can you bring me to Silverfox Village?” Tianming asked. The giant girl seemed quite naive, but that didn’t mean her elders were unaware of everything.
“Sure, but be careful—there’s a few elders in our village who really dislike outworlders,” Beibei cautioned.
“Are any of your elders cosmic cartographers?” Tianming asked.
“Yes! Our village chief is. He’s very powerful!” Beibei said.
“Is that so?”
Tianming smiled. He wanted to pat Beibei’s shoulder, but the size difference made it awkward. He waved his hand in the air for a while before retracting it, scratching his head. “Shall we go now?”
“But little brother, my mother is sick, and I still need to find clear spirit grass to cure her,” Beibei pouted, her gaze somewhat dim.
“Clear spirit grass?” Tianming was taken aback. The name sounded extremely familiar.
“Yeah, it’s an ether-class herb,'” Beibei said.
Ether-class herbs could only grow on worlds that were ether-class and above. It meant the herb just happened to have the same name as the clear spirit grass he had picked before.
“I can help you look for it. What does it look like?”
“It’s bigger than Tiny Big Brother!” Beibei described it to him, which Tianming then relayed to Yin Chen and had it search for them in the vicinity. This world really was incredible to have ether-class herbs on the outskirts of villages.
Three days swiftly passed. During those three days, Tianming and Beibei chatted and he learned a lot about Silverfox Village and Creektown. This place indeed followed the standard village and town model. The total population of Silverfox Village wasn’t even two hundred, and the average lifespan was four or five thousand years. Everyone was born as a god, and the vast majority would ultimately become astral gods. In Silverfox Village, anyone that didn’t become an astral god during their lifetime wouldn’t fare well, being considered an absolute disgrace to their entire village.
