Chapter 2707 - Petty Men
Chapter 2707 – Petty Men
The Prime Wonder was a derivative of the Prime Tower. After the transformation of the Prime Tower, it had completely merged into his body and could no longer be sensed by the Grand-Orient Sword. That transformation had begun when it’d actively entered the Kunlan Realm.
However, the fusion in the Kunlan Realm didn’t bring the Prime Tower back to its peak. Even the Grand-Orient Sword was still missing the Infinitum Stele, and the Prime Tower must be missing something as well. All the Prime Tower divine patterns on his body were visibly stirring. It was evident that there was something useful to Tianming inside the giant cave.
Without a word, he headed toward the cave. This vast world had such high caves that they were tens of thousands of meters high. Even specters a kilometer tall could freely move within it. Someone like Tianming was about as significant as an ant.
On top of the cave, several large characters were carved.
“Mister Gu’s Little Shop?” Pretty artistic! Tianming moved quickly and entered the cave’s depths. At first, he couldn’t see anything, but once he reached the heart of the cave, he saw the shop.
There was a giant standing in the dim space. He stood in the shadows, and it was hard to see his actual appearance. His skin was as white as bone, and his head was white. Strangely, apart from his head, he had two slightly smaller heads on his shoulders. One person, three heads!
He was hiding his appearance, so Tianming could only see a black starry radiance and white bone, not his true appearance.
“Just take a look around.” Mister Gu had a deep voice. He spoke with all three mouths at the same time, with the voices of an adult, a young boy, and a young girl overlapping, making it sound a bit strange.
“Sure.” Entering the black market, even though Tianming was an outworlder and an orderan, Mister Gu, a cosmic cartographer, wasn’t surprised. Most transactions in the black market were done by people like Tianming acting as errand runners. Even if they died, their elders wouldn’t care.
Tianming seemed like he knew what he was doing and began searching for the items he wanted.
Mister Gu’s Little Shop had few items for sale today, and the prices were clearly marked. There were just over ten items in total. Some were terrifyingly priced, reaching several million soulstones, while others were more common, priced at around fifty thousand soulstones.
The soulstones Tianming had gotten from Mu Ying’s corpse totaled just around a hundred thousand. Fortunately, the item Tianming was looking for was priced at fifty thousand soulstones. He found it in a corner—a black tower that looked like it was made of bronze.
“Cosmic artifact taken from the hands of an outworlder, low-ether-class. Fifty thousand soulstones. Take it if you’re interested,” Mister Gu said.
Tianming knew that this old black tower that didn’t look like it had complete divine patterns was what’d caught the attention of the Prime Wonder. He picked it up and examined it for a while, looking somewhat hesitant.
“I know you’re interested in it, no need to pretend. Just take it. I don’t haggle,” Mister Gu said.
It made Tianming feel a bit embarrassed. “Okay.” He didn’t say much more and held the black tower in one hand, ready to take out fifty thousand soulstones from his spatial ring and give them to Mister Gu.
With Mu Ying’s soulstones, he had a total of about a hundred and eighty thousand. He had paid thirty thousand to enter the city, another ten thousand to enter the black market, and now he was about to spend fifty thousand more. That would leave him with less than a hundred thousand soulstones and he was a little distressed.
“If I had known, I should have asked Qi Huan for more soulstones!”
Just as he was thinking that, suddenly, someone behind him said, “Mister Gu, I’ll pay seventy thousand soulstones for this little tower.”
Hearing the voice, Tianming was displeased. He turned and saw that it was Chen Yin and Jiang Yong! Those two annoying shadows were still following him!
“Seventy thousand?” Mister Gu reached out and the black tower flew to him. He turned to Tianming and said, “Sorry, we don’t change our prices, but according to the rules of the black market, when someone offers a higher price, we have the right to accept it.”
Tianming knew that the two followers were just trying to annoy him! He somewhat regretted that if he hadn’t gone straight to the point, they wouldn’t have come out to raise the price and cause trouble. “How do I know that these two weren’t hired by you to raise the price?”
“It’s simple. I won’t sell it to you, I’ll sell it to them. If they can’t come up with seventy thousand, I’ll naturally teach them a lesson,” Mister Gu said.
Tianming had no choice! He knew better than anyone else that Chen Yin and Jiang Yong weren’t plants. “I bid eighty thousand.” Tianming grit his teeth.
“A hundred thousand,” Chen Yin coldly said.
“Keep going.” Mister Gu enjoyed the spectacle.
“One hundred and twenty thousand,” Tianming stated. If they continued in this manner, to be honest, he wouldn’t even be able to afford to stay in Commonsky City.
“A hundred and fifty thousand!” Jiang Yong came up with a tough offer.
Tianming was utterly helpless.
“All right, a hundred and fifty thousand it is, no more and no less. If this young man can’t afford that, then today is at an end,” Mister Gu said.
Tianming was annoyed!
But a poor man’s willpower is short. Getting angry wouldn’t help, so he could only watch as Mister Gu handed the black tower to Jiang Yong. Jiang Yong and Chen Yin looked a bit pained, but they still took out the soulstones to pay Mister Gu, passing by Tianming as they did so.
Tianming couldn’t help but sneer, “Pathetic.”
“You were the one who wanted this. How does it feel to have what you desire taken from you?” Jiang Yong sneered.
“Haha.” Tianming pointed at his head and said, “If you two hadn’t made a ruckus today and let me spend these soulstones, my stay in this place would’ve been significantly shorter. If you really want this thing, just wait until I leave the city and kill me. Why waste this money and give me more time?”
Chen Yin and Jiang Yong exchanged glances. Indeed, they had prevented Tianming from spending his soulstones. But they didn’t mind.
“Doesn’t matter, it’s just a hundred and fifty thousand soulstones. Even if we have to wait fifty days, we have the time to spare,” Chen Yin said.
“Even if we have to wait ten years, we’ll still find a way to kill you,” Jiang Yong casually said.
“Fine, then let’s see who dies in the end!” Tianming gave them a cold glance and turned away.
“Heh!” Chen Yin and Jiang Yong looked at each other and laughed.
“A mere orderan, ignorant of the heights of the heavens and the depths of the earth.”
“Who would dare to kill us, people from Intrepidus, in this Antiquitas Mortis?”
“If he falls into our hands, even if he wants to die, it won’t be so easy.”
