Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 2711 - Heavenly Bagua

Chapter 2711 – Heavenly Bagua

Dark clouds rolled within the Xenoabyss. The yellow sands collided in the sky like gigantic boulders, loudly rumbling. Chen Yin and Jiang Yong ignored the sand and stones. Their bodies glowed with the radiance from their cosmic charts. Whenever any debris approached them, it would instantly be crushed. The two cosmic cartographers from Intrepidus were over a thousand years old, much older than Lin Lingxiao and boasting far more combat experience, not to mention their better familiarity with the Xenoabyss compared to Tianming.

“This kid should have some soulstones left, but he actually chose to leave Commonsky City! That must mean that he’s either suicidal or has someone else helping him. They must be laying in ambush waiting for us!” Chen Yin said during the pursuit.

“That’s right. The latter case might be more likely,” Jiang Yong said. Despite their cheerful expressions, they were actually as alert as could be. With a furrowed brow, he continued, “Keep your eyes on him no matter what. Test his capabilities while I sweep the surroundings for ambushes.”

“Good!” Chen Yin didn’t waste any words and charged toward Tianming, preventing him from escaping. Jiang Yong circled around him, not looking at Tianming at all, but instead at the roads ahead. The two of them minimized the risk on all fronts!

“Being so careful? Don’t bother looking—I’m alone,” Tianming said.

“Hah. If so, then I’ll take care of you myself. I alone am more than enough,” Chen Yin said, looking down on him. It was clear that he wasn’t a cosmic cartographer, and the difference between an orderan and a cosmic cartographer was stark. Even though it wasn’t like the gap between a normal and astral god, it was still really difficult to overcome. The pressure from cosmic cartographers wasn’t something most orderans could just shake off. It seemed Jiang Yong wasn’t going to turn back at all. Chen Yin stared at his prey like a tiger, and, seeing that Jiang Yong still hadn’t spotted any ambush, he felt even more confident. With a smirk, he leaped ahead.

“Little crook, I’ll tear you apart for wasting so much of our time!” His expression savagely contorted as the cosmic chart behind him opened up. Starlight emanated from his body; the cosmic chart seemed to be a part of him, glowing just as brightly as he did. In one sense, one could argue that the cosmic chart was the true body of a cosmic cartographer.

Deep in Chen Yin’s cosmic chart, a bagua-shaped hive was faintly visible. It controlled the channeling of starlight, which guided the transformation and reformation of Chen Yin’s astron body. He charged toward Tianming like a meteoric galaxy.

It’s the first time I’m fighting a cosmic cartographer without using Omnisentient Will. It was quite a milestone for Tianming. His heart anxiously beat as the moment approached. Fortunately, I’ve reached the key of the Order stage, heaven-unity resonance! That was the distinguishing factor that separated the first and second halves of the Order stage.

Tianming had many incredible talents that made up for his weaknesses, but a gap of six levels was still incomprehensible. His six streams of order activated heaven-unity resonance, allowing him to control and utilize the energy in his surroundings, including xeno source and helping him make up for much of the energy disadvantage. He could clearly feel that he was inhabiting a new body of energy, seemingly fusing with the heavens and earth. Through his orders, great amounts of energy poured into him and resonated with his cosmoforce! Ying Huo and the rest were able to do the same as well.

The resonance in the astralscape of order has more elemental types, so that suits me better. However, it isn’t too bad here, either. His bursting cosmoforce flooded into the Grand-Orient Sword’s two cosmic impulses, causing them to spread across his body and raising his confidence. Chen Yin’s a totemancer, while Jiang Yong should be a beastmaster.

When Chen Yin went on the attack, he summoned eight towering totems above Tianming. They seemed slightly oddly shaped. Tianming only noticed that they were baguas when they linked together. It was a kind of totem that was so powerful that it was superior to most nonabane totems!

At his level, Tianming knew that the number of totems one had was far from everything. The type of totems, as well as the simulacra they had, were the main determiners of strength. These heavenly bagua totems formed together into a single sky-piercing bagua formation, suppressing the debris in the storm around them and fixing it in place in mid air. Then the bagua formation locked on to Tianming, centering around him.

Chen Yin’s gaze turned cold as he drew his mid-ether-class cosmic artifact sword, Eightseal Path. Even though he looked down on Tianming, he didn’t let his guard down in the slightest. People who tended to survive enough time in the Xenoabyss had the habit of being extra cautious.

Tianming didn’t think he would be facing off against an enemy with so many tricks. I guess I must take him seriously. He knew that this would soon become a two-on-one fight. He had to finish it as soon as possible, so he used everything at his disposal—his beasts, totems, divine wonder, and even his black arm. To fight in the Xenoabyss, he made sure that Ji Ji was with him all the time. Coupled with his heaven-unity resonance, his and his beast’s energy levels were notably stronger.

“I need you guys to keep an eye on Jiang Yong!” Lan Huang, Xian Xian, and Yin Chen appeared behind Tianming, while Meow Meow and Ying Huo hid amidst them. While they were keeping a close eye on Jiang Yong, that didn’t stop them from attacking Chen Yin with their ranged abilities.

Then the decapath era godswords gathered in front of Tianming. As the prime wonder was weaker, he had it attack in coordination with his totems.

“A decabane? I really haven’t seen anyone like you before.”

“How can a totemancer have lifebound beasts?”

Chen Yin and Jiang Yong were both taken aback. However, they had seen their fair share of the world and weren’t easily shaken. They would first take down their foe, then ask clarifying questions later.

“There’s something odd here. Are you alright on your own?” Jiang Yong hurriedly asked.

“Just watch!” Chen Yin said before he let his bagua order surge, activating the totems’ tertiary simulacrum, Myriadmountain Bagua. The totems began changing form!
