Chapter 2811 - Void Grasp
Chapter 2811 – Void Grasp
Tianming was truly shocked. He had often heard that Yi Daiyan was a top beauty on par with Feiling. As for his mother, Wei Jing, he believed that she was beautiful, but more on the level of the most beautiful woman in the city than the most beautiful woman in an infinitum-class nova source world. Yet despite Yi Daiyan’s resemblance to Wei Jing, he had to admit that her beauty was deserving of its reputation.
“How could someone who looks the same feel so different?” Tianming was absolutely stumped.
“Aren’t you worried your mom will beat you for saying something like that?” Feiling spat.
“Damn, I’m in trouble.” Tianming couldn’t help but imagine Wei Jing’s angered look.
Yi Daiyan’s hair flowed like a waterfall in space. She was dressed in a long black dress that complemented her slender figure. Her pale, fair skin and sharp ears gave her an incredibly cold look. Somehow, Tianming had a feeling that her colorful eyes contained all the essence of the world, shining brighter than Ebonia behind her! It was as if Ebonia was at her fingertips.
“I didn’t think that she would look so impressive, just like my mom,” Tianming said.
“Well, that came a little too late,” Feiling said, facepalming.
As awed as Tianming was, he couldn’t help but wonder, “What’s going on? Why does she look exactly like my mother?”
Hearing that, Dongshen Yue and Lin Xiao widened their eyes.
“She’s your mother?” Lin Xiao asked.
Tianming shook his head. “She shouldn’t be. My mother eloped with my father. However, Yi Daiyan basically looks identical to her, apart from her ears and eyes. Perhaps she has a twin?”
“How could a normal human be the twin of a luxdaemon?” Feiling had seen his mother before, so she could say as much.
“Oh my!” Lin Xiao exchanged a glance with Dongshen Yue, who said, “Your dad is really beyond saving. Even after reincarnating, he went for the exact same type of girl….”
“That’s probably the case. Well, the astralscape of order is huge, so there’s bound to be someone who at least has the same eyes, nose, and mouth.” That was the best explanation they could come up with.
“I’ve been on Ebonia for so long and you didn’t think of showing me a portrait of her?” Tianming said, almost speechless.
“Who’d want a portrait of that witch?” Dongshen Yue snapped. It wasn’t surprising, since Yi Daiyan—who had stolen the Ancestral Swordheart—was a taboo person to the Swordgod Lin Clan.
Tianming temporarily accepted that as the reason, but he had a feeling that there was more to the story. “There must be some reason that my dad couldn’t reveal.” The question was whether or not Yi Daiyan herself knew the reason. How did she see herself? Eventually, the woman in space set her blazing eyes on the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.
“Lin Feng.” Though she had spoken in outer space, her voice somehow passed through the Flameyellow Guard Formation and the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, ringing in Tianming’s ears. It even sounded like his mother’s; it was all too familiar. But she called him ‘Lin Feng’ instead of his actual name. If Shenxi Xingtian did that to emphasize his status as Lin Mu’s son, what was her reason for doing so?
From the looks of Dongshen Yue and the rest, it seemed like not even they knew the full extent of Yi Daiyan’s strength. Tianming took a deep breath. She should be able to hear him from within the Flameyellow Coffin, right? “This junior greets the rex mundi.”
“I heard that you managed to defeat a ninth-level cosmic cartographer.” Though she spoke with Wei Jing’s voice, her tone was cold and flat.
“It was a mere fluke.”
“You’re growing much quicker than expected. You must’ve gone to the Xenoabyss.” Yi Daiyan chatted to him like a senior would, without any hint of joy or rage.
“That is correct.” Since she already knew as much, Tianming wouldn’t refute it.
“Very well.” She nodded and turned her eyes to the Sun. “Soon, I’ll quell the internal conflict in the Infinitum Bodhimanda. Take your world away from here and don’t get in my way.” Her tone was calm, but instructive. It continued echoing in Tianming’s ears.
Tianming calmed and resolved himself. “Or else?”
“If you don’t….” She slightly narrowed her eyes. The light that radiated from them seemed able to inflict abject horror on Tianming, despite his three layers of protection. She didn’t say a single word, but grasped in the void. At that moment, the infinitum-class Ebonia rumbled, startling billions of gods. Tianming clearly saw waves of nova source swirling around Ebonia and heard the metallic clashing sounds of the black chains around it. The rumble shook the Sun to the core.
All of a sudden, the gigantic black chains outside Ebonia shattered! A single person had managed to shake the entire world! A loud rumble suddenly resounded across the planet as the ground around the Infinitum Stele completely cracked open, vaporizing the landscape around it. Nearby, many astralships exploded like fireworks. The shock of the rumbling traveled through the astralscape and slammed into the Flameyellow Guard Formation, shaking the entire Sun.
Tianming watched as the gargantuan Infinitum Stele began levitating into the air. Dust spread throughout the skies of Ebonia, dimming the light coming from the world. It was as if the soul of the world itself had been concentrated into the stele. More and more, it began looking like a sword. In all the history of the Infinitum Bodhimanda, the stele had never moved, yet it was currently floating away from Ebonia, dragging the black chains along with it.
“That’s the Infinitum Stele!”
“Heavens, the stele’s moving!”
“What kind of omen is this?!”
The matter far outstripped the common understanding of Ebonia’s denizens. It created a complete wave of panic. Cries of shock rang out all across Ebonia.
“It’s flying off!”
“Who could possibly do such a thing?!”
“Did someone cause this? If not who, then what?!”
Nobody apart from Tianming and the others witnessed the true history in the making.
