Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 2885 - A Brewing Storm

Chapter 2885 – A Brewing Storm

Countless wildbeasts howled on the outskirts of Ebonopolis, stacking up against each other and forming countless layers of walls that protected the city. Their fearsome, crimson eyes could be seen everywhere without exception. Their flesh alone was so much mass that even astralships seemed to pale in comparison. It was truly eye opening for Tianming to witness. “They’re truly a plague on Ebonia!”

How much nova source was drained because of all those beasts? How many victims were regularly subject to their attacks? Wildbeasts were unfeeling and non-sentient, and their existence benefited only the ebons. While having some wildbeasts around wasn’t the biggest deal, if their numbers were allowed to grow to the point that they began to take over the living space of the common folk, it would be cause for concern. If Ebonia became the roaming ground for dangerous wildbeasts, commoners would constantly be fearing their assault. Tianming was witnessing the worst extent that a wildbeast problem could get to, and the only way to deal with it was to kill them all.

“Get ready!” The three million ships spread out in a net-like formation with the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb and Gladean Ruins in front as vanguards. “Stay in formation as we enter the beast wall!”

“Understood!”

Back then, the three million ships had merely fired from the outside in fear of being surrounded and overwhelmed. However, blasting away from inside would be far more effective. With two infinitum-class ships leading the way, the crews of the other ships were courageous enough to leverage that.

“I’ll pave a way and leave my surroundings to the heliacal-, skypiercer-, and deific-class ships. As for our rear, have the sanctuary- and ether-class ships watch us!”

“Understood!” That was how their formation would be arranged.

“Make sure to not stray from the formation! Now go!”

The two infinitum-class ships let their nova sources surge, allowing them to cleave into the ranks of the wildbeasts. Their draconic breaths paved roads of bloody pulp in their wake, instantly killing at least tens of millions of wildbeasts! The entire armada cleaved through the wall of flesh, grinding them away as they proceeded.

Their pace wasn’t fast, for even more beasts filled up the empty spaces left behind by their eviscerated comrades. There wasn’t even a need for the ships to aim! All they had to do was to fire in the direction the infinitum-class ships fired in and any random shot would hit countless targets.

The subterranean world lit up with flashes of destruction!

“Die! Die!” In Ebonia, everyone but the ebons felt an instinctual loathing for wildbeasts, so they fought while giving it their all, leading to a much higher efficiency than previous deployments.

Tianming didn’t even need to give many instructions. He focused on leading the way, crushing countless beasts by blasting, or simply ramming them. Infinitum-class ships were made of incredibly tough material and no joke. After killing quite a substantial amount, he began feeling a bit overwhelmed. “How could there be so many wildbeasts in Ebonia to this extent?”

There was no way they could have seen them all from the surface of the beast wall. Even after wiping out so many beasts, there still seemed to be an unlimited number of them! The elite armada of three million ships created a world filled with nothing but blasts and vaporized blood, but the beasts still kept coming.

“Don’t worry. Just keep on killing until we run out of energy. As long as we bring their number down each time, they’ll eventually be wiped out!” Xiaodao said.

“Okay!”

After six hours, Tianming was feeling a little numb from all the destruction. However, the beasts’ numbers had seemed to decrease somewhat. “We must’ve killed enough to the point that they aren’t as concentrated in this area anymore. We have to keep going.”

Based on the current concentration of the beasts, it seemed that the wildbeast wall had lost nearly half of its density. In other words, close to half of all the wildbeasts had been killed. If they repeated their invasion a few more times, Ebonopolis would eventually be exposed!

As Tianming was worried about being stuck there and unable to return to the Sun, he didn’t approach Ebonopolis too close. As he continued slaughtering the beasts, Moran finally gave him some good news—she had succeeded after her long trial. The secret room in Silverdragon Palace opened and fifty beautiful figures emerged from behind Tianming. They put their clothes on again, all of them wearing identical ink-colored dresses and making them even harder to distinguish. It was truly quite a fantastical sight to be surrounded by fifty identical sisters.

Tianming managed to spot Moran in the crowd. She seemed worn out, just like the others, and her slightly moist hair made her look like she had just taken a shower, much to Yin Chen’s envy. However, they seemed much stronger even in their fatigued state. The eightpart apparition wonder’s aura gave them an added air of mystique. They were much younger than Fengqing Mengdie, making them much more suited to the vigorous wonder; their struggles and efforts seemed to have been worth it.

“Come, let’s try out the power of the eightpart apparitions!” Tianming said.

“Okay.” They all nodded as one.

“What a bunch of sycophants!” Ji Ji rolled its eyes, but couldn’t help but cooperate with them by channeling nova source from the ship to them.

The fifty sisters linked hands to form a formation core. Almost instantly, white fog surrounded the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, within which snow-white eightpart apparitions resembling Moran appeared! But while they may look similar to her, they had thick and long claws.

“How beautiful!” Lan Huang said. Its sense of beauty was quite shocking to its other siblings.

The eightpart apparitions then started slaughtering wildbeasts. Being manifestations of a divine wonder, they weren’t as effective as nova source blasts from the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, but they were definitely measuring up with the likes of ether-class ships.

“With Ji Ji and the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, Little Fish and her sisters aren’t at all weaker than Fengqing Mengdie!” That was amazing news. Tianming redoubled his dedication and kept on attacking the wildbeast wave.

Right at that moment, Yin Chen had an urgent piece of news to deliver. “Divine wonderians… started appearing… all over… the Sun!”
