50 Self-Recommendation
Fu Ge was not surprised that she knew the price of the bicycle.
He raised his eyebrows at Qin Jianxi.
“It’s just a bicycle. Isn’t it normal for friends to give each other a gift? If you were to give me money, wouldn’t that be a waste of my time?”
Without waiting for Qin Jianxi to say anything, he spoke again, “Aren’t you very good at martial arts? How about this, I’ll book you for a week after your college entrance examination. I’m going to country M to discuss business and I need a bodyguard with better skills to accompany me. What do you think?”
Qin Jianxi squinted her eyes and looked at him seriously. She asked, “Are you serious?”
Fu Ge nodded, “Of course, I’m serious. Is it fine with you?”
A bicycle in exchange for seven days of her being a bodyguard. She could lose this much. She replied “Alright! When the time comes, you can tell me the exact date and time.”
Fu Ge saw that she agreed so quickly, and the corners of his mouth couldn’t help but curve up. He asked, “By the way, you haven’t eaten yet, right? I haven’t eaten either. Why don’t we go for a meal together? It’s not far, just over there. It won’t take up much of your time.”
Qin Jianxi realized that this person had a way with words. It was hard to find a reason to reject him.
“Alright,” she said.
“You don’t mind me trying out your new bike, do you?” Although he asked this, one of his feet had already stepped on it. He turned his head and looked at Qin Jianxi with a smile. “Get on. I’ll cycle you there.”
Qin Jianxi was speechless.
She could only walk over and sit on the back seat of the bicycle. To be honest, this was the first time she sat on the back seat of a bicycle, and it was even a man who was doing the cycling.
Now that she mentioned it… This experience was quite novel.
Fortunately, it was only a five-minute journey.
The bicycle stopped and Qin Jianxi jumped off.
Fu Ge parked the bicycle. He said to Qin Jianxi, “The Chinese food here is not bad. Let’s go in.”
Qin Jianxi nodded her head, “Okay.”
The two of them walked in together.
The restaurant’s environment was quite good. Because it was close to the school, there were quite a few people who came to this restaurant to eat.
Their appearances were too outstanding and with Fu Ge’s face… There were even people who recognized him, so they were surprised that Fu Ge and Qin Jianxi came here to eat.
They all felt that they had gotten solid proof that the two of them were dating.
“Go to the second floor,” Fu Ge said to Qin Jianxi softly.
“Alright,” she said. Qin Jianxi responded and went upstairs with Fu Ge.
The two of them chose a window seat and sat down.
A waiter immediately came over to take their order.
Fu Ge gestured to a waiter to pass the menu to the person sitting opposite him. Then, he said to Qin Jianxi, “I don’t know what you want to eat. So, order whatever you want.”
Qin Jianxi took the menu and flipped through it a few times. Then, she quickly ordered a few dishes.
“Just these will do!”
Fu Ge added a few more.
After the waiter left, he poured a glass of water for Qin Jianxi. He asked, “How are your studies? Is it difficult? Do you need a tutor?”
Qin Jianxi raised her eyebrows. “Why? Do you want to recommend yourself?”
“Do you need one?” Fu Ge asked.
“Thank you, but I don’t need one.” No matter which subject it was, she could handle it herself. Why did she have to get herself a tutor?
But… This person’s attack power is quite strong!
Although he was using the title of a ‘friend’ to justify his actions, what he was doing was not what a friend would do.
Fu Ge joked, “I was very good at all my subjects back then. Do you really not need me to tutor you? I’m even going to do it for free.”
