116 Cat Dad’s First Sea PVP (3)
Chapter 116 – Cat Dad’s First Sea PVP (3)
Xiaomao had been multitasking. He steered the ship to the right and brought out a laser pointer. Then, he marked a fishing boat at the center of the pursuing fleet.
.
Lock-On Mark (Mastery 100%)
This skill is popular among aspiring snipers and spotters. By pinpointing your target with a laser pointer and activating this skill, the next projectile attack or ranged attack will not miss the target.
*Require a laser pointer.
Skill Type: Active
Rarity: Super Rare
Cost: 250 MP
Cooldown: 30 minutes
Effects:
– Inflict [Marked] and [Locked-On] abnormal status to the target. The effect lasts two minutes.
*[Marked] target is guaranteed to suffer a critical target on the next attack.
*[Locked-On] target cannot dodge the next attack.
.
This low-level skill ensured that the next random ranged attacks from Xiaomao would not be missed. Moreover, the target would be vulnerable to all ranged attacks from cannons and his next skills.
After the fishing boat turned red because of the abnormal status effect, Xiaomao brought out a rare-grade crossbow and fired a skill at them.
One Man Thousand Arrows!
A volley of 1,000 crossbow bolts flew out from the frigate in the beacon of light. The shadows of the bolts turned into a sinister curtain that rained upon the players in range.
CRITICAL HIT
CRITICAL HIT
As Xiaomao’s attack was always critical because of the Karma Fish, players suffered four digits of damage. Fragile glass cannons, such as mages, rangers, archers, and priests, lost all of their HP in one hit. Tankers, melee-class fighters, warriors, and knights lost one-third of their HP.
DING
<Warning! You have murdered a player. You will be branded as a criminal. Current Karma: -100.>
<Warning! You have murdered a player. You will be branded as a criminal. Current Karma: -200.>
<Warning! You have murdered a player. You will be branded as a criminal. Current Karma: -300.>
<Warning! You…>
<Warning! Your Karma is lower than negative 1,000. You will drop all equipment and items upon death.>
This was the flaw of all online games. As Xiaomao knew that the players were hostile, he did it to defend himself. However, the game system saw it as unprovoked violence, and Xiaomao was punished for it.
Xiaomao didn’t care about the penalties. After all, he would lose all evolution materials upon death, and he couldn’t wait for the enemies to attack him first.
BOOM
The fight didn’t stop as Andrew and his assistants launched another volley of cannons. The marked ship and two fishing boats were smashed in half.
Still, the frigate was up against a hundred boats. His team’s firing rate was slow, and they couldn’t sink many ships at once.
A few seconds later, a motorboat got so close to the frigate. Players on the ship stood up and threw a hook rope at the frigate’s handrail.
Andrew peeked out of a cannon window and threw a handmade grenade at the motorboat. It landed in the middle of the crowd and exploded. Because of the impact, 10 players on board suffered from the direct impact and fell into the sea.
Lucky, who had just woken up because of the commotion, rushed to the handrail. She cut and threw away the hook ropes, preventing other players from using them to get on the ship.
Fortunately, as Xiaomao had turned the ship to the right, the frigate sailed away from the pursuing ships, turning its stern at them.
However, one of the ships got close to the back of Xiaomao’s frigate. A crew threw a hook rope and latched it onto the deck.
“Too late, Xiaomao! Surrender and hand over your items!”
The ship belonged to Butter Tank. His minion, Dog Eater, climbed the rope and got on the back of the ship.
As soon as Dog Eater got on board, a tower shield was the first thing that he saw.
BAM
Lucky tackled Dog Eater with a shield bash, stunning him. Then, the former Gnoll General grabbed the head of the player with one hand.
Gnoll General’s active skill, THROW!
Just like when a Gnoll General threw his subordinate, Lucky yeeted Dog Eater 200 meters to the sky. The player screamed and fell. But instead of landing in the sea, he crashed onto a cog ship, which belonged to the Yarr Guild.
Dog Eater’s HP dropped from 100% to zero, and the cog’s durability was decreased by 10%, leaving a large hole on its main deck.
After getting her first kill, Lucky shouted.
“These mutts are nothing! We can easily crush them!”
Ding
<Lucky uses Rally. Your attack, defense, and speed have increased by 10% for 10 minutes.>
Xiaomao, Andrew, Shepherd, Magdalene, Fu De, and the crew received the same buff from Lucky. The effect was weak, and the speech was bland. However, everybody smirked as the 10% bonus speed influenced their cooldown timer as well.
The catopus looked at the sky, wanting to summon the Lightning Storm. However, he remembered that Fu De was an undead vampire, and the lightning would hit him instead of the players.
Without a usable skill or spell in this situation, Xiaomao brought out the Shaman Fireball spell book from his inventory and learned it.
The spell book had been sitting in Xiaomao’s inventory ever since he withdrew an extra book from the warehouse. At first, he kept it as a bargaining chip just in case someone like Halal showed up. But now, he chose to rely on it because of its low cooldown.
DING
<You have learned a new spell, Shaman Fireball.>
Xiaomao switched his weapon to a magician’s staff. Although it was an ordinary level 50 weapon, the staff still increased his magic attack by 200.
The catopus began casting the spell. He chanted.
“MU-NYA-NYA!”
Instead of the WOLOLO chant, Xiaomao did it with his own style. Instantly, a massive fireball appeared over the frigate and descended upon the fleet of fishing boats.
BOOM
CRITICAL HIT
CRITICAL HIT
Again, because of the Karma Fish, Xiaomao’s attack was always critical. In addition, Xiaomao’s magic attack was 2,991, and most players didn’t have a high magic defense.
2,991 M.ATK’s normal attack always inflicted 6,000 and 7,000 damage per attack on average. However, critical hit calculation spiked the damage value to 12,000 at the minimum. A few unlucky players suffered over 20,000 damage because of the RNG. In addition, the flame caught the nearby ships on fire.
Tankers, shieldsmen, and melee-classed players that received a direct hit were burnt to death. Even the priests and magicians with high magic defense didn’t have enough HP to withstand the strike.
After casting the first shaman fireball, Xiaomao finally realized how broken his character was.
‘I forgot that I used so many spirit stones and gained a lot of free stats. But wow, I’m strong.’
The catopus sneered at the burning ships and the shocked expressions of the nearby players. He switched his weapon to a crossbow and prepared another volley.
“Magdalene, match our ship with their speed, munya! We’ll kite these fools!”
Magdalene, who had just woken up, looked around in confusion.
<Magdalene is sleepy. She doesn’t want to fight low-level mobs.>
“So, no wine after this, munya?”
<Magdalene has never wanted to work so hard before. She will accurately match the ship’s speed with the other ships’ speed!>
“You, too, Fu De! Blood bags are here!”
Fu De peeked out from the mast basket and widened his eyes.
“Did you say BLOOD?!”
“Damn straight, munya!”
Fu De vanished from the basket. A hundred small bats braced through the beacon of light and entered the dark sky. They looked down and found many burning ships, swimming players, and many delicious-looking virgin women.
“MINE!”
