Chapter 124 - A Meme To Counter An Argument
Chapter 124 – A Meme To Counter An Argument
"Hahaha… Perfect! Perfect! WAHAHAHA…" the room was filled with laughter as the female could not contain her amusement. She almost choked in between her laughs yet, she did not stop until she felt her abdomen hurt for too much laughing.
Her plan was to lure the Chronos squad leader. But first, she must get acknowledgment from the leader for her to continue her plan.
She did not expect to get the attention of Sofia in her first attempt. "How prompt of you to reply on me! HAHAHA," she stated.
Since her target had caught the bait, she felt ecstatic and greatly accomplished for Sofia had replied to her comment. It saved her a lot of time.
"I can definitely earn popularity in this! This is enough for now. Tomorrow morning, I will be back," the female smirked as she just stared at the screen of her phone. Her eyes sparkled while looking at the comments that continued to come.
She was fully satisfied reading the response of Sofia from her provocation.
But, she decided not to reply to her yet. "I need to wait for many more audiences to join this topic. Then, I will challenge this CEO UNRIVALED for a match tomorrow! Hehehe, No cure for insecure huh? How naïve!"
The female moved towards her bed where the moonlight illuminated her face…
Her face resembled that of a doll, with round eyes, small lips, and a long nose. Her eyelashes were also thick and her jawline was perfectly shaped.
She was beautiful as a fairy yet this lady was very shrewd.
Her technique of gaining views always involved trashing other gamers and famous personalities. At first, she used her physical appearance to lure the audience to watch her streaming online games.
As time passed by, she was not satisfied and become greedy. Now that her audience had less interaction on her streams, she started to devise another plan.
Since she had done it so several times, she was confident that she could definitely gain something by targeting the Chronos squad leader.
By targeting Sofia, her own channels would go on the top… or so she thought?

While these two ladies went to their slumber and took their time for beauty rest, the spectators on social media were growing rapidly. The arguments had now formed a distinct group of three supporters.
The first group was generally defending Sofia and continued to emphasize her contribution during the tournament. Most of them were tank users. Some give a single sentence with direct trash talk while there were others who took their time to write longer comments.
The several longest replies in the comment could even be treated as an essay already for they had described their experience of being a tank user!
The second group was from the side of Sofia's basher. They also had their own argument citing how the Chronos squad were just lucky. They deliberately mocked the squad for having only five members and that even those regular players could form more than five players.
Meanwhile, the third group was but those people who choose to be neutral. They were neither helping Sofia nor her basher. It was like they were just bystanders waiting for something big to happen.
These people also joined the craze of comments but they were just adding fuel to the fire. They even tagged Sofia every time they post their replies!
The night passed by quickly but the war of comments on social media continued.
It would seem that these keyboard warriors do not have any plan to sleep at all!
Sofia was awakened by Jing Jing's phone call.
"Sister Jing?" she asked in a groggy tone.
"Sofia! Great! You answered my call. Sorry to wake you up this early," Jing Jing started.
"Ohh, it's nothing… Why do you call, sister Jing?" Sofia responded as she jumped out of her bed.
"This… Sofia, we just want to ask your opinion about the ongoing debate on the official page of the Chronos Squad?" Jing Jing inquired.
"Let me check first, sister Jing. Then, I'll call you back," Sofia stated.
At this point, she had no idea that the heated arguments from last night had evolved and turned into an official poll.
The netizens created a poll of who would agree to a one-on-one fight between Sofia and Krista19!
By the time Sofia opened her social media app, her jaw almost dropped on the floor. The notifications reflected on her account went by to 999+! It was over a thousand that the notification feature could no longer display the exact count!
"What chaos is happening right now?" she gasped and decided to sit back on the edge of her bed.
Her thumb swiftly pressed the notifications and scrolled down carefully. After five minutes, she excited the notification panel and closed her phone.
Most messages contained random people tagging her. Now, she regretted that she did not rephrase her comment properly before she posted it!
"I am busy," Sofia muttered after she realized that she had plans for that day. She hastily called Jing Jing back to inform her of her plans.
"Sister Jing, let that mad woman continue to create trouble online. Let her bark until her voice is gone!" Sofia expressed playfully. "No, actually let me send a meme of a barking dog to counter her! Hahaha,"
Jing Jing could not help but also giggled at her response. "Okay. I will tell the admins that they don't need to respond to the woman's provocation. But, I will instruct them to neutralize the comment section."
"Yes, that woman is not worth our time. Just ignore her. Sister Jing, I will end this call now," Sofia politely responded.
"Yes. Have a great day ahead! Sorry to disturb your sleep," Jing Jing said.
"No problem. Bye, sis Jing! Have a great day to you too!" Sofia casually responded before ending the call.
She crossed her legs and went back to her social media account. This time, she published her own post.
Truth be told, she found a meme of a dog barking from the many screenshots on her gallery. It was stored by the original Sofia, perhaps, for trash-talking purposes.
Now, Sofia found it hilarious. She had never imagined that a day would come where she would use a meme as a tool of the argument!
