Chapter 156 - Starting Fresh For The Entire Fraternity

Chapter 156 – Starting Fresh For The Entire Fraternity

The Western Alleyway, District 7

12:05 PM

In the place of the Double Sigma fraternity, walls along the road had several graffiti on them. This area had the lowest residential infrastructure and was mostly the location where homeless people settled with tents and make-shift houses.

The sun was scorching and most of the residents in this place were still asleep.

Despite this environment, there was one house that was built with bricks. It could be considered a decent place and was known as a frat house of Double Sigma. However, this house was illegally built.

They had no legal right to the land. They just built their house and used violence over the owner so that they could develop a residential building.

The  Double Sigma fraternity has two leaders. One was called Daniel or Danny.

Nobody knew their real name but, Danny was the person that Sofia offered a bargain to work for her once the Chronos squad started to operate their business, while the other leader was his older brother.

These two leaders had just woke up from their night escapade. Danny went to make trouble on the intersection street last night. While his brother, Derek, was also working as a part-time guard on a local bar.

These men shared a small room with a double-deck bed. Derek was on the upper bed and Danny occupied the lower.

"Bro, I've met an odd person last night in the intersection street," Danny started and sat up from his bed.

"Ohh, is this person a chic? Is she hot, bro?" Derek asked.

They were still usually sleeping all throughout the day and go with their errands at night.

"No! It's a young girl bro! Remember those frat fightings that we agreed to harass some business owners? Now, the establishment was close. But, this lady told me that she will purchase and build a business there. She offered to hire our group as her employee," Danny summarized.

Derek who was still sleepy at that point bolted awake. He jumped out from the upper bed and stared at his brother for a long time.

"I am not kidding bro. That girl, she is the squad leader of the champion group last online tournament," Danny stated.

"The Chronos squad? You mean that CEO UNRIVALED?" Derek clarified.

"Yes, bro! You know our situation is very troublesome. We have no job because we are out of school and all company requires academic qualifications. We can only do some shady negotiations to earn money. But now, that teen had offered us a work," Danny said.

"Us? All of us?" Derek inquired, referring to all the members of their fraternity.

This group really consists of members that had not finished their studies. Even if they want to apply for a job. nobody had hired them because they were out-of-school delinquents and dropped outs. Such an opportunity that Sofia offered to them was like a huge chunk of gold.

"Yes! That girl said all of us can work for her. She sounded serious. And she also told me to stop making trouble on the place. What do you think?" Danny sought for his older brother's opinion.

"I think it's great! I mean, if she is serious and would hire us all, I can get a decent job instead of nursing drunk customers in West Bar. We could start fresh," Derek beamed with excitement.

Start fresh! These men were in their mid-twenties and wanted to take life from a serious perspective. However, because no job employers wanted to hire them, they end up making trouble in the district instead.

"That's also what I think. I mean, there were so many big bosses who secretly asked for our help to deal with their competitors. But none of them offered real work. They only saw us as their tool to get rid of the obstacles for their business to grow," Danny muttered.

"Accept it. If she can hire all of us, let's work for her and talk about the salary. Even I am not yet pain for my part-time job," Derek stated.

"Okay. I will accept it and tell the members," Danny agreed.

He then grabbed his mobile phone that was sitting under his pillow. With just a few scrolls on the social media account, she quickly searched Sofia's profile.

Derek also watched as the screen of the phone switched from one window to another.

"This girl is so young! Is she really going to be our employer?" he muttered after the screen showed Sofia's profile picture.

"It's kind of embarrassing?" Danny paused and looked up at his brother.

"I just can't remember what I did when I was her age. Maybe, I was exchanging punches to the classmates that annoyed me that time," Derek answered.

"She is young but if you speak with her, you won't think of her age. She carries a different aura that demands authority. This kind of aura can only be attained from someone who had vast experience in life." Danny spoke softly as he tried to recall all the events last night.

"What is that video? Click that!" Derek suddenly chirped after his brother continued scrolling on Sofia's post.

"This is the game that they play," Danny said and then click the play button.

"Oh, I see. They must have a huge amount of prize money that they wanted to open a business. What a wise girl! Others may spend the money on other fancy things," Derek stated as he started to watch the videos on the screen.

"Prize money is not enough to buy the building and land. Maybe they also have rich parents that help them up?" Danny said.

"If that girl will hire us. What is her plan? Does she want us to do construction works?" Derek inquired.

"Maybe? Well, I will tell her first that we are accepting her offer," Danny mumbled and started to compose a message.

"Yes. And tell her that she cannot back out. Just in case she will ask for our school records, at least, secure the employment what she offered," Derek guided.

Danny's thumbs swiftly moved as he started to type the message.

Dan: I formally accept the job for all of my frat. And you cannot back out and change the offer.

His message was brief but sounded off. But, this man did not really bother editing the words before sending his confirmation.

"You have to talk formally! You did not even say hi to your future employer!"

  Derek corrected his brother.

"Ohh… okay," Danny paused and composed another message…

Dan: hi boss

Seeing the second message that the younger brother sent, Derek helplessly made a facepalm. And the minute he briefly lamented of how improper the content of the message was, Sofia responded.

CEO UNRIVALED: See the attachment in my next message and we can discuss the details later at 2 pm.

"That's quick!" Derek stated when he heard the ping notification for the arrival of the reply. He looked away and started to get busy if his own phone.

"As expected to for a gamer like her! They really have fast hands in typing their reply. What attachment is —" Danny was unable to finish his words when his dace displayed a complete surprise.

When the man became silent, Derek furrowed his brow in question about his unusual reaction.

"What made you look like you have seen a ghost?" Derek curiously asked and looked at his younger brother from head to toe.

"It's real. This is a draft of the contract between her squad and our fraternity! She is sending an employment contract to us! There is even a blank page to register our members!" Danny exclaimed in joy and showed his phone voluntarily to Derek.

The content of their fraternity was placed as blank since Sofia did not know. But the initial headline of the document indicated the Chronos Squad Contract between the ___ Fraternity.

"That is really real! Then when can we start? Asked her!" Derek ordered.

Danny did not hesitate to compose another message and sent it right away.

Dan: When can we start to work?

CEO UNRIVALED: I'll include this matter in our meeting. Just review the stipulations of the contract that I just sent. If you have reasonable adjustments or negotiations, do tell me so that I can revise.

"I could never relate how she could do it! It was just less than a few seconds and she already replied!" Derek stated.

"These game people really type fast. She is the squad leader of her team. So, if she tell instructions to her group, she had to type faster!" Danny made a guess.

"Ah… you are right. Let's read that contract and see its content," Derek urged his brother.

The two men started reading the content of the contract that Sofia sent. Their expression became very serious as they turn from one page to another.

"This contract is reasonable, We can earn the minimum wage of our district. This is already generous for not all bosses offered this type of salary," Danny spoke.
