Child of Destiny

Chapter 1043 Unforgiven One Against Son Of Heaven (Part 1)

Boom!

The explosion shook the entire place. It could not be contained by the isolation barrier anyone and alarmed the other people living in the neighborhood. The guards also went into action as soon as possible, heading toward the epicenter of the explosion.

Shin was still standing strong as he blocked the shockwave that came from the explosion. The strong wind and raging flame of the explosion swept through everything in its path, causing huge destruction.

He poured every bit of Mental Energy into the barrier, supporting it with everything. Cracks started to appear on the surface of the barrier and spread out at an alarming speed. Fortunately, the explosion exhausted its strength before the barrier could even collapse.

But despite that being the case, Shin did not dare to lower his guard. He did not even bother to look at the aftermath of the explosion as he quickly cast his gaze toward the center of it. He also spread out his Spiritual Sense in every direction, looking for the traces of the opponent who caused such a powerful explosion.

It did not take long for him to find Mad Dog’s location. Focusing his gaze on it, he saw a one-armed man standing at the center of a deep crater.

Mad Dog’s current appearance could not be described aside from being terrible. His clothes were charred black and currently in tatters. His other hand was pressing strongly on his shoulder where he lost his arm. Aside from that, he seemed to be standing strong despite being at the epicenter of the explosion. be𝚍nove𝚕.com

Compared to him, the Void Manifestation Expert guards that were caught by the explosion inside the black dome were currently in a bad state. They did not lose a limb or anything but their current condition was unknown. They were lying unconscious in different directions – a few distances away from Mad Dog – and completely defenseless.

But despite that being the case, he did not bother to look at them nor have a plan to finish them off. Aside from not having the strength to get the job done, he was also not in a position to care about them since the surrounding people were already been alarmed by the previous explosion.

He just turned his gaze at the young standing behind a cracked barrier before giving the latter a meaningful glance. He had to admit that he did not expect that this young man was strong enough to withstand that powerful technique. His black dome might have lessened the power of the explosion but it should still be strong enough to kill anyone who was on a lower realm than him.

Aside from the fact that Shin managed to see through their real intention and arrive here in time on top of finishing Ghost Chopper off, he still had the ability to withstand such a powerful explosion. Mad Dog had to admit that he truly underestimated this young man.

That – or the information that they had about him was greatly inaccurate.

Either way, this young man was the main reason why their operation failed on both sides. The people that they sent failed to eliminate him and he was also the reason why they did not able to abduct their target.

“Shin Kinghad. I will remember you,” muttered Mad Dog before disappearing from his current position.

Shin wanted to give chase but he decided to go against it since he had to protect Cloe and the others from hidden threats. He was not sure if there were still enemies hiding in the dark, so it would be safer if he stayed.

It was only at that moment that he had the opportunity to have a good look at the surroundings. The whole place was completely devastated. The surrounding villas were completely destroyed including their own. Fortunately, the other villas were still not occupied, or else, civilians would have been caught in that explosion.

Regardless, the damage that the explosion caused was pretty huge. Aside from Shin and the others losing their villas, everything else within the radius of the explosion turned into a pile of rubble.

He could already imagine the pained expression of the real estate companies managing the area. He could only sympathize with them for their losses.

Turning his head in the distance, he finally saw the guards and other personnel who were responsible in the area. He shook his head and muttered. “Why are people like them always arrive when everything is over?”

As the situation on Shin’s side finally settled, the operation that David and Shiella were doing was only starting to take off.

David, who was fighting two people close to his age, currently had the upper hand.

One of his opponents was an old rival from the Dark Continent, Marion Halls. This guy was one of the leading figures of the younger generation in that continent. At least, until David dominated everyone with his powerful might.

He suffered a crushing defeat against David in front of countless people during a local yet big competition. And that humiliating defeat haunted him for a few years until he met someone from the Hextech Laboratory who helped him build up his confidence once again.

He also gained new abilities that make him confident in himself once again. He became convinced that he would be able to defeat David when they met once again.

Unfortunately, the reality was too cruel for him. When he thought that he became one of the rare geniuses that could only be born after hundreds of years, the bumped against the ‘wall’ that obstructed his path once again.

His confidence was crushed for another time and in a much cruel way. Not only he stood a chance against David, but he also became a burden to the person working with him.

If not for Darren Silverstone, an Unforgiven One, then he most likely had lost his life multiple times already.

Realizing the situation and acknowledging his weakness, Marion had no choice but to distance himself from the two, disengaging from the battle. He also suffered quite a serious injury after trying to face one of David’s attacks earlier, so he had to recuperate in the distance, not wanting to be a burden to Darren anymore.

From the distance, he watched the two fight and realized what a real genius was – and he was far from being one.

Boom!

A powerful shockwave separated David and Darren from each other after the collision of their respective move. The force behind the impact was much stronger than what they had expected, so they were forced to distance themselves away from each other while stabilizing their footing.

David already released the second meridian lock of his body, giving him enough power to face the experts who were a realm higher than him. As a Mentalist, he now possessed the strength that was comparable to Ruler’s Realm Experts.

With such strength, he normally dominated anyone he faced in the same generation. But to his surprise, the opponent that he was facing right now seemed to possess a similar level of strength.

Not only that, Darren’s martial skills and techniques in utilizing them were comparable to the top prodigies of different nations such as the Junior Monsters and Young Ghosts of Soaring and Lost Soul Continents.

“Darren Silverstone. He is much stronger than most of the young agents that I’ve faced from the underground organizations,” muttered David to himself as he stared at the young man standing a few meters away from him.

He knew that the Unforgiven Ones were strong but he was not expecting that they were on this level. Moreover, there was another thing that was bothering David. This guy seemed to possess multiple types of combat talents.

As someone who always traveled through the world and constantly challenged the most talented and strongest people in the same generation, David was familiar with most of the combat and special talents that martial artists and mentalists could have.

He was also familiar with special physiques and divine bodies as well as different kinds of disciplines. Whether it was a lost knowledge or a newly founded path, David had an idea of what it was.

And right now, he seemed to be facing someone who possessed talents that he could only find from certain people. But at the same time, those ‘talents’ seemed to be a little different to what he had seen. The ‘forms’ were different but the ‘principle’ was the same.

“What kind of abomination are you?” asked David, blurting out his thoughts unconsciously. He was not seeking answers as he seemed to have an idea of what the Hextech Laboratory had done.

David might not have the intention to ask that question, but Darren already heard it out loud and could not help but looked at him mockingly. “First, you called me an Unforgiven One. Now, you are calling me an abomination? Even though I am being a little tolerant, I don’t think I can let this one pass just like that.”

After saying those words, an eerie type of ‘Natural Force’ (Higher Form of Internal Qi) started leaking out from his body. It quickly spread in every direction and started affecting the surroundings. The plants and trees around were also showing signs of withering.

His eyes also suddenly changed. Its white parts turned crimson while his black eyes deepened.

David did not care what the other party felt. He was not planning to take this matter more seriously. He was still in a rush to chase after Shiella and could not afford to waste his time here.

Taking a deep breath, David briefly closed his eyes. And when he opened them once again, his pupils took some chances as they now had a mandala pattern on them. They looked like a pair of blooming lotuses.

At the same time, he pressed his middle fingers on his temples, releasing another meridian block. And right after he did that, a massive wave of mental energy leaked out from his body, creating a visible ripple in the air.
