Chapter 2185 - 2185: Race of Operation (Part 2)
…
While the battle between the titans was taking place in another place, the region around the Oath City was currently under extreme chaos.
The Demonic Players no longer had to hide their tracks and revealed themselves wantonly. They no longer cared about the consequences of their actions and continued to slaughter anyone that they came across.
A huge war had broken out between them and forces currently present within the Oath City, which was forced to cut off access to the Teleportation Hall to prevent any members of the Demonic Churches from sneaking into the city.
However, this action had also cut off their reinforcements from arriving easily, forcing the other forces within the Lesser Kingdom of Juron to rush to the capital on foot.
This would take quite a long time, given the rough terrain of the kingdom. Even if they tried to teleport to the nearest village or city to reduce the distance, they would still need quite some time before they could arrive within the regions surrounding the Oath City.
This would also exhaust their forces throughout the journey, requiring some time before they could recover and prepare to join the battle.
The situation within the kingdom had become a bit tricky, especially the worsening predicament around the Oath City.
The Righteous Churches had caught the wind of the situation and started releasing some missions related to it, triggering another event for the players.
The forces under these Righteous Churches might not move during this time, since it was still within the players’ domain. It was still not enough to send a crusade army force for assistance.
Fortunately, the forces that the players could send were not weak either, particularly the Titan Guild. After all, they had their main base of operation at the Goliath Empire, which was right beside the Lesser Kingdom of Juron.
However, they would still need some time to reach the area, given the current situation.
Moreover, the Demonic Players were also fully prepared this time. They had already established a huge formation that would seal the entire Oath City and the surrounding regions, preventing anyone from going in and out through any kind of teleportation means.
This was to prevent the players from fighting throughout the regions to use their return scrolls from the battle or even other teleportation scrolls with similar means.
Adding that the war feature between the Righteous Churches and Evil Faction was currently activated, killing players from each faction would earn huge merits while also putting those who had been killed in an extremely weakened state.
The Demonic Churches of Greed and Terror were flooding the place with their members and Demonic Monsters that they had brought for this operation.
The war between the two sides had escalated to the point that a regional event was announced on top of the missions that the Righteous Churches had issued.
The region had also started to become affected by an intense bloody aura that was slowly covering the region.
It was at this moment that the players realized that something was amiss, especially when the eerie and terrifying aura was slowly creeping throughout the regions that they were fighting in.
Both the people sent by the Titan Guild and the forces under Mister Jiang’s command immediately realized a serious problem looming around the corner, especially when they were clearer about the situation than anyone else.
They immediately realized that the said sacrificial ritual was about to befall the Oath City, making the situation much grimmer than it already was.
They knew that they had to move faster and salvage the situation before it was too late.
Fortunately, Poseidon and Diablo had already made their way back before the sealing formation that the demonic players had set up was established.
With Poseidon holding the reins of the united forces under the Titan Guild command, the situation around the Oath City had become a bit more under control.
Diablo, on the other hand, was currently leading some people that the Hand of Midas and Deicide had provided to hunt down the demonic players running amok in the surrounding regions while also trying to take down the altars that these people had built for the Great Sacrificial Ritual.

Boom! Boom! Boom!
In the depths of the Brood Swamp, one of the regions around the Oath City, Diablo was leading a force to destroy one of the core altars that Mister Jiang and his people had managed to find after tracking the demonic players for quite a while.
Watching the altar be dismantled, Diablo could not help but frown quite deeply, feeling that something was wrong.
This was supposed to be the third altar that they had taken down, but it was just a supporting core rather than the main core altar that they were looking for.
“It seems like those guys have considered that there are people who are familiar with Demonic Diagrams and will figure out how to dismantle them, which is why they have made a few modifications in them,” he mumbled, understanding the line of thought of the opposing side.
“I guess we have to scale through everything, without leaving any stone unturned,” he added, realizing that they would require more time and people to fully stop the sacrificial ritual that the members of the Demonic Church of Terror were trying to do.
Understanding their current situation, Diablo knew that he had to rush quite a few things, especially when they were running out of time.
“I guess we have to rely on our friends from the Titan Guild for this one,” he mumbled after considering everything for a while.
Asking for more reinforcement was out of the question, given the current situation at hand. The Teleportation Hall was currently inactive, while the nearest village and city that had a teleportation hall were a few hundred miles away.
Even if they used those places as a springboard, they would still have to spend a considerable amount of time before they could reach the regions surrounding the Oath City, much less the city itself.
…
Not long after, a Wolfkin Hunter (Beastman Thief) walked over him and said. “We have finished destroying the altar, Sir. Are we going to proceed to another point?”
Diablo did not immediately respond, still lost in his thoughts, before shaking his head. However, he did not set aside these suspicions and trusted his instincts. “Bring the first three squads to scout the surroundings first.”
“We can’t overlook anything. Try looking for any suspicious places or people in the surrounding mile at the very least before leaving a squad to guard here while bringing the rest to follow us,” he added with a serious tone.
The Wolfkin Hunter nodded his head seriously before proceeding to the instructions given by Diablo. He could feel the gravity of the situation, given the heavy tone that the latter had, so he had to put a lot of importance on these instructions.
He was a young cadet under the Springfield Family, so he orders prioritized over anything else.
After arranging the squads, Diablo led the remaining group to continue their tasks.

Meanwhile, Alucard, who had been chasing Leviathan and Dragulia, had somewhat caught up with them.
However, he also realized that Dragulia had somewhat disappeared at some point.
He could not help but frown quite deeply when he realized this, and quickly informed Diablo about it. He knew that problems would rise once Dragulia was left on loose in the Oath City, especially after seeing how he had held himself against Diablo and Poseidon by himself.
This Arch Heretic of the Demonic Church of Terror was a problem, so they had to always keep an eye on him to avoid any more trouble.
Whoosh!
Not long after, Alucard could not help but halt his advance after seeing that Leviathan and the ice dragon under his control had suddenly stopped their tracks ahead of him.
Turning around, Leviathan looked at Alucard with an amused look and said. “You are quite brave chasing after us by yourself. Are you that confident that you can handle us alone?”
Alucard swept his gaze at the surroundings while keeping his ‘Sanguine Eyes’ active, marking all the enemies hiding in the dark, before smirking. “If it is only these guys, then I don’t think that they will be enough to threaten me.”
“Aside from you, I don’t think anyone around is strong enough to be at that level,” he added, along with a somewhat provocative smirk.
Leviathan knew this as well, especially after sensing that Alucard seemed to be much different from what the data that their organization had about him.
He could also tell that there was some other power surrounding Alucard compared to what they had seen from him before.
“Then I guess I have to take you down before that troublesome twin can catch up,” said Leviathan before preparing for a battle.
Seeing this, Alucard could not help but feel a bit more excited, looking at the opposing party with a huge grin. “Just like what I wanted.”
