Chapter 659 The Inevitable
…
Shin looked at Shiella with wide-open eyes as he was not expecting that she also had two types of Natural Forces on top of possessing the Bloodline Powers of the Springfield Family and Levina Clan.
“Is it an inheritance or something?” asked Shin to himself while looking at Shiella.
Then he quickly added after a brief moment of pause. “So, she is using her class inside the game to familiarize herself with ice elemental, especially that she is not born with it unlike the Eternal Flame of Springfield Family.”
Then Shiella threw the icicles floating on top of her hands. Their speed was quite fast for Shin to dodge. But before they couldn’t even reach him, he was already leaning his body towards his left to dodge the first icicle before quickly leaning back to the right, dodging the other icicle that was following closely behind it.
Shin was about to return to his battle stance when Shiella suddenly appeared in front of him while thrusting her hand which was fully covered with cold ice.
Seeing that, Shin quickly moved his left hand in a circular motion and redirected the trajectory of the incoming strike. And while he was doing that, his other hand was already making its way towards Shiella’s exposed waist.
Swoosh!
Unfortunately, Shiella used the momentum that she gained when Shin deflected her previous attack to spin around and throw a spinning elbow directed to Shin’s head.
Shin slightly tilted his head to the side, barely avoiding the elbow strike. And quickly after that, he twisted his waist a little before throwing a kick straight to Shiella’s waist.
Bang!
Shin was quite fast with his counter, but Shiella was also fast enough to form an ice armor around her waist to block Shin’s attack.
After that, the two were engaged in an intense melee where their respective tempo and rhythm were getting faster and faster as time went by. Moreover, their respective styles also changed compared to what they were using earlier.
Shiella’s fighting style changed from being direct and aggressive into a crafty and scheming series of attacks. Each of her attacks seemed to be perfectly calculated as if she was always one step ahead of her opponents.
But at the same time, Shin seemed to be doing the same. Earlier, he couldn’t properly respond to each of Shiella’s movements because she was a little too fast. Even his Zone Techniques were quite useless against her.
Given that, he chose to rely on ‘White Dawn Boundary’ this time to keep his head cool at all times and have better control of the movements of his body even if he was facing the most unexpected situations. And because of the twin internal Qi that he had, he was able to confuse Shiella about what kind of attack he was doing.
Sometimes, he was striking with heavy punches but there were also some instances where each of his attacks was swift and deadly.
In the meantime, Jerimiah was currently staring at the pair with a weird look on his face before whispering to David. “Hey! Are you sure that these two are not blood-related? Why do I feel that Shin is more of her real brother than that guy inside?”
Hearing that, David couldn’t help but shake his head helplessly while also wearing a bitter smile. “I know how you feel since these two are really similar in many ways.”
He then took a brief pause to look at the two before quickly adding. “And now, even their Martial-Arts are starting to resemble each other too.”
The battle lasted for a few more minutes before Shiella decided to end it by sending Shin towards the barrier with another powerful strike.
At least, that was her plan until Shin managed to withstand her attack and prevented himself from flying.
Then he absorbed all of the force from that attack before sending them back to Shiella by pushing his arms forward.
Bang!
And since she was not expecting that move, Shiella was caught a little off-guard and was sent flying towards the barrier instead of Shin.
Swoosh!
Bang!
And when Shin saw that, he suddenly felt an intense shiver from his spine. Especially when he saw the messy hair that Shiella had when she walked out from the cloud of dust.
“I guess I overdid it a little,” said Shin as he looked at Shiella with a twitching mouth.
Boom! ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ท๐ฆ๐๏ผ๐๐๐ฎ
Then he saw Shiella releasing both of her multicolored flame and ice-cold Natural Force. After that, she looked at Shin with her glaring eyes while saying with a hoarse voice. “Shin~! Kinghand~! You dare to ruin my hairstyle? Let me see if you can face the consequences of your actions!”
The expression on Shin’s face immediately turned stiff when he heard those words before cursing inwardly. “F*ck! Why did I become the villain all of a sudden?”
Not long after, Shin suddenly squatted his hips a little before gathering his Sacred Qi on his right hand while he was pulling it backward.
Boom!
And immediately after that, an illusionary image of a tiger’s head seemed to appear behind Shin before opening its mouth savagely as he threw a punch forward.
‘Extreme Yang Assault: Scorching Fangs’
Roar!
Shiella was caught a little off-guard by his actions since she was already right in front of him when threw his fist; she was about to throw an attack of her own. It looked like Shin managed to read what she was thinking and threw a counter before she could even put plans in action.
Unfortunately, that was still not enough to fully surprise her for a second time. A thick wall of ice suddenly appeared in between her and Shin, blocking the incoming fist.
Bang!
But immediately after the collision, a thick fog was suddenly created due to the opposing temperature of their powers.
But there shouldn’t be any problem for them even if their line of sight was being blocked since they were already standing in front of each other. And because of that, both of them quickly threw their follow-up moves at each other.
Bang!
Right after their fist collided with each other, a powerful shockwave quickly cleared the thick fog surrounding them. And quickly after that, they saw each other pulling their other fist backward while gathering their respective energy on it.
Shin seemed to have a coiling black dragon wrapped on his right arm due to the revolving Demonic Qi around it. And when he suddenly thrust it forward, an illusionary black dragon seemed to appear behind him while opening his jaws and looked like planning to devour Shiella whole.
Roar!
‘Absolute Yin Attack: Devouring Fist’
In the meantime, Shiella also threw her fist forward which had a multicolored flame covering it. And as her fist was moving forward, the flame spread through her entire arm before colliding with the incoming punch that Shin just threw.
‘True Nine Dragon Arts: Earth Shattering Fist’
Boom!
Even if the Demonic Qi was far superior compared to most of the Internal Qi types, it was still way inferior when it was facing a ‘Natural Force’. Especially when it came to a special Natural Force such as the ‘Emperor Yan Force’ that Shiella had, which was practically the upgrade of the ‘Eternal Flame Internal Qi’ of the Springfield Family.
Due to that, Shin had to also rely on the extra strength that was being provided by his ‘Qi Reinforcement Skill’. And this particular skill was already in its complete state after combining the three skills that Old Plum had given him.
At this point in time, Shin possessed the ‘Sacred God Physique’, a Reinforcement Skill that was supposedly meant for ‘Ethereal Opening Stage Experts’.
By activating that skill, shining white runes suddenly appeared on the surface of Shin’s body and further enhanced his battle prowess to another level.
Bang!
With all of those powerups, Shin managed to even out the force that was accompanying Shiella’s attack and place them on an equal footing.
Unfortunately, Shiella was not done yet as she quickly pulled her right-hand fist backward while also throwing a strong punch with her other fist at the same time.
Unlike her right arm which was covered with a blazing flame that had multiple colors, her left arm was fully protected by a crystalline armor that was entirely made of ice.
Shin was slightly slower than Shiella when she threw that fist. And because of that, he was immediately forced to block the incoming fist since he knew that it was already too late to attack.
Due to that, Shin was immediately forced to be in the passive state where he had no other choice but to keep on blocking and dodging each of Shiella’s attacks.
Riding the momentum that she had, Shiella immediately increased the pressure that she was giving to Shin by increasing the pace of her assaults. And since she was aware that Shin was using quite a lot of secret techniques at the same time, she knew that he would not be able to keep maintaining them for a long time.
Because of that very reason, it was already inevitable that he wouldn’t be able to keep up with her attacks the more she increased her speed.
Just like that, Shin slowly lost his focus and became overwhelmed by Shiella’s attacks, deciding the result of this battle.
“Tsk! Tsk! Now, this is not a sparring match anymore,” commented Jerimiah as he clicked his tongue and shook his head repeatedly.
“Yeah. She is practically bullying him right now,” said David while looking at Shin with full pity.
After that, he quickly turned around and removed the barrier surrounding the backyard before asking the two. “I think he is not in a good condition to cook right now. So, should I prepare our meal for now or are we just going to order something else?”
Then the three walked back inside the house, leaving Cloe alone to continue watching Shin get beaten up by Shiella one-sidedly.
