Chapter 830 A Dedicated Path (Part 4)
……
Shin looked at the two elders with a slightly confused expression. They kept on saying that there were some secrets about his body, so he was thinking about how much they knew about it.
The Seeds of Hatred was one of them which was pretty easy to detect if the other party was a very strong Mentalist. Shin was not surprised about them knowing about it since he was aware of the capabilities of these two elders.
What confused him was the other things that they were trying to say. They said that there were two other secrets within him that he was unaware of.
‘Are they aware of Uno’s existence? No, that is impossible. No matter how strong they are, it is impossible to enter deep into my Sea of Consciousness without my permission.’
‘And they were saying it is about my special physique, do I have another body constitution aside from my ‘Spiritual Embryo’?’
These were the thoughts that were running inside Shin’s head, trying to figure out the meaning behind the words of the two elders. But it didn’t take long for him to reject that idea.
‘No, it is also not possible. A body constitution is predetermined, if an infant somehow possessed one more constitution, then they most likely going to have a mutated one after their birth since it will be built or fused within their mother’s womb.’
‘Even people with Divine Body were not an exemption, that is why Special Bodies exist,’ he added to his thoughts.
Seeing Shin fall into deep thought, the two elders couldn’t help but nod their heads. This meant that he was quite knowledgeable about this matter. The most talented people focused only on the talents that they already had and honed them to the best of their abilities.
It was good and all since they could become more familiar with their abilities which could lead them on becoming stronger.
But people like that tended to neglect exploring other talents which could make them unaware of unknown variables during their battles.
Everything in this world progressed and there were a lot of things that need to be explored. A variety of systems were being created while some of the existing ones continuously evolved. This was the reason why even the elders continued to explore the depths of their abilities and try to uncover the secrets of their rivals before passing their discoveries to future generations.
A few moments later, Granny Luvenia finally spoke. “Your body was a very special one because all of your talents seemed to be divided into many parts.”
“Huh?” Shin was completely taken aback at those words. He didn’t know why, but it seemed like he became awakened all of a sudden.
The old lady ignored his reaction and continued. “I still don’t know they manage to do it but the way they approach this particular subject is really intriguing.”
Due to her excitement, Granny Luvenia failed to suppress her side of being a researcher. She was a well-known Mentalist Doctor, but she was also a researcher at the same time. On top of learning how to cure any kind of illness, she majored in learning the secrets of the human body, especially their talents.
“Little one, have you heard of the term ‘Meridian Locking’?” asked Granny Luvenia.
Hearing that, Shin nodded his head as he was very aware of it. In fact, he knew someone who possessed a very strong talent since he was born and needed to undergo a ‘Meridian Lock’ to survive.
‘I know a thing or two about it since Senior Brother is a ‘Son of Heaven’ who is born with a very powerful Mental Energy and unrivaled martial prowess which also almost cost his life,’ he thought as he continued to listen.
“Meridian Locking is commonly used to ‘Sons of Heaven’ who possessed powerful energy since birth. It is to contain that power within an infant’s body while also suppressing it to survive,” said the old lady, making Shin knit his brow.
“Is grandma telling me that I also have my meridians blocked?” asked Shin within an instant. But not long after, he rejected the idea since he at least knew the state of his body.
There were a few things that surprised him about his own body, but aside from the first seed that was the seed within his heart and the strange sphere situated within his Niwan Palace, there was nothing else that was worthy enough to put him on the same level as Son of Heaven.
He might be a ‘Mighty Chosen One’ who possessed Combat and Special Talents at the same time, but it was still not enough to consider him a Son of Heaven.
Sons of Heaven, as the name implied, were unrivaled geniuses who are born with the blessings of heaven. They possessed a great power comparable to an expert despite being just born.
Naturally, Granny Luvenia understood the confusion present in Shin’s eyes. After all, even she, herself, a very knowledgeable expert in this field, was not expecting that this kind of method existed. be𝚍no𝚟𝚎l.𝚌𝚘m
It was theoretically and logically possible, but pulling it off was a whole different matter.
“You are right about it, little one. But what cast on you is quite different to the Meridian Locking technique that we commonly know,” said the old lady to catch Shin’s attention once again.
“Instead of sealing off your talents, the person who performed the Meridian Locking on you cleanly separated your talents very well,” she added.
She also took a brief pause as she was contemplating something before continuing. “And based on the traces left on your body, it is performed when you are already a young kid and not when you are still an infant.”
“I suspect that they observe you first very thoroughly before performing such a meticulous technique. It is probably because they want to identify your full potential before limiting it to a certain degree.”
The more Shin listened to his words, the deeper his frown got. Rage seemed to rise towards his head as he clenched his fists. After all, what he just heard was really unpleasant to his ears.
Seeing that reaction from him, Granny Luvenia immediately explained. “Don’t get the wrong idea, little one. It is not done for some sort of research but for them to find a way to save you.”
Shin’s frown got deeper as he became even more confused.
Then the old lady continued. “Imagine yourself having a mutated body due to conflicting powers within you.”
“When you are still in your mother’s womb, you have been exposed to the ‘Seed of Hatred’ that you inherited. You are supposed to die during that time but you miraculously survived due to your mother’s care.”
Shin continued to listen.
“Your mother should be a powerful Mentalist since it is possible to guard you against the corruption of a powerful ‘Seed of Hatred’. Only a very strong and talented Mentalist can sense an anomaly happening to their child when they were still in their womb.”
“I know it since I experienced it first-hand,” she added.
“Due to the repeated process of corruption and being cleansed, your body undergoes some mutation during your mother’s pregnancy. But thankfully, she has given birth to you successfully.”
“But it didn’t end there since this ‘Seed of Hatred’ would surely try to consume you right after you left your mother’s womb. And since you are no longer under her protection, it can do everything that it wanted to your body.”
“But at the same time, your inherited Mental Energy adapted to the nature of your mother’s powers when you are still in her womb, so it immediately fights back, causing your body to become a battlefield between those two powers.”
“I don’t know what happened after that, but I am sure that they successfully sealed those two powers within you.”
“That golden orb and that dark seed within you in particular,” she emphasized as she pointed at Shin’s forehead and chest.
Shin slightly nodded his head as he completely understood what she was trying to say. The dangers to his body were more serious than he thought. Not only he had a ticking time bomb within his chest, but there was also a strong Mental Energy hidden within his Niwan Palace that could put his life at risk the moment when they clash against each other.
“Let’s forget about your Mental Energy since that is your third secret and it can at least wait for the future,” said Granny Luvenia before continuing. “Let’s talk about the undiscovered talents that you have.”
“You’re supposed to have a mutated special body instead of just having an ordinary ‘Spiritual Embryo’.”
“I suspected that because of the continuous collision of the Mental Energy and Demonic Qi when you are still in her womb, the fusion process is never completed and leaves your body into an incomplete state.”
“I don’t know how they have done it, but it looks like they manage to find a way to separate the cause of that mutation, leaving the original special body alone.”
“I do understand why they do that since it will slowly contaminate your body and hinder the progress of your training in either Martial Art or Mentalism discipline.”
“It is natural to get rid of that part completely since it will become an infection that may ruin your foundation. But the strange thing is they didn’t do that, they just separated the other part and leave it as it is.”
“And later, it gives birth to another Special Body, something that is separated from your ‘Spiritual Embyo’ but also exists within you at the same time.”
“It looks like they created a hidden division within your body that segregated the two special bodies from each other, which is unheard of.”
“I can still sense the other ability of the other special body within you since it is not hidden, but it is also not always active. It looks asleep at times but also not completely dormant.”
“Right now, there should be two different systems within your body because of those Special Bodies. They are also supposed to have conflicts with each other because of their difference. But since one of them is constantly in a dormant state, neither of them initiated a fight for dominance.”
These were the points that piqued Granny Luvenia’s interest the most and the only thing that she couldn’t explain. The sealed Mental Energy and Seed of Hatred were unsettling, but she at least knew how to deal with them given the vast experience she gained in her field.
“Given these, I suspected that you can switch between the two Special Bodies but I don’t know how. These needs further studying for you to master how to utilize their powers.”
“In that regard, choosing Professor Henry as your mentor in the academy is the best choice that you can have,” she added while pointing at the old man beside her.
“I originally wanted to take a closer look at your condition, but since your dantain is currently sealed, your ‘Spiritual Embyo’ is more active than the other Special Body, so I will stop here and continue on your next checkup,” she said, indicating that she was finally done with her job for now.
But she still had a few things that she wanted to confirm but she couldn’t continue due to Shin’s current condition.
Aside from the things that she just discussed, she also discovered earlier that Shin also had two more talents aside from him being a ‘Battle Genuis’ and possessing the ‘Immediate Response’ talent. But just like the hidden physique, those two talents were not very active and currently in a deep slumber.
Having those thoughts, Granny Luvenia couldn’t help but turn to Professor Henry with a questioning gaze. ‘If what this guy is saying is the truth, then this kid has the potential to also achieve that unrivaled talent.’
Then the old lady turned back to Shin before giving him a meaningful smile. ‘Having the ability to possess both the perfect Mentalism and the pinnacle of Martial Arts, this young man is destined to lead the future and create a system for the upcoming era.’
