Chapter 841 Godly Display (Part 4): A New Summit
……
While Shin was currently immersing himself in the newly found system, Reality Manifestation, the other four gods behind him were observing him very carefully.
They might not be aware of the current state that Shin was currently in, but they could at least see the difference between his current display from his previous performance. 𝙗𝙚𝒅𝒏𝒐𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Given their vast experience in virtual games, they could tell that Shin found a hidden mechanic without him telling them. And this particular mechanic was able to help them showcase their real abilities.
After a few moments of careful observation, this group of gods finally figured out something. From what they could see, Shin seemed to be moving his body as if he was in the real world. It looked like he broke away from the restrictions of the game that was preventing them from showcasing their real strengths.
“Breaking away from limiters, huh? Interesting!” muttered Faker as if he finally understood what Shin was currently doing.
Zero, who was standing right beside him, also nodded his head. “I see.”
On the other hand, Leonard was looking at Shin in a new light. His face was full of disbelief and blurted out. “That is also possible?”
Arthur was the only one who was not clear about it. But he was not as impressed as the other three, even saying that it was not something special. “Moving as if he is in the real world? Hah! I can do better! I already recreated my Martial Arts in this world!”
Unlike them, Alucard and Black Hand who accompanied them couldn’t understand what was happening. They were having a hard time comprehending the scene that they were seeing.
“That should be enough. Let me join next,” said Zero as he walked forward while unsheathing his swords.
He also walked in a leisurely manner just like what Shin did earlier. But despite the similarities in their movements, each of their steps was completely different. If Shin seemed to be walking as if he was taking a casual walk in the park, then Zero was moving like a real swordsman, straightforward and steady.
Then the people behind him saw the movements of his arms. It looked like they were lifting his swords in a very slow manner, creating an illusion where they were leaving a series of afterimages behind.
Because of those strange movements, the wolves around seemed to become stunned as they stared at him blankly. They couldn’t even feel any threat from him, it was as if he was the most harmless person in the world.
Due to that, they failed to realize what happened to their bodies. They didn’t even know that they had already been cut by Zero’s swords.
Then they fell to the ground lifelessly as Zero continued his way ahead.
“It looks fun!” shouted Leonard as he quickly charged ahead while taking out a pair of war axes.
But unlike the first two who tested out using their basic movement first, he directly used his Martial Arts Skills from the very start. He might not fully understand the hidden mechanic but his bestial instincts straight-up guided him on how to enter Reality Manifestation within an instant.
He just followed his instincts and his accumulated experience in virtual games to mimic the state that Shin and Zero had.
Boom!
His method of fighting was entirely different from the two swordsmen. If Shin and Zero eliminated the wolves in a very clean manner, then Leonard slaughtered his way forward. All of the wolves blocking his path were either chopped by his war axes or turned into a meat paste after getting slammed on the ground.
Seeing that, Faker smirked a little before disappearing from his current position without leaving a single trace.
Then the wolves on the other side opposite the previous three started falling one after another. Those wolves still had their eyes wide open when they died. They didn’t even know what killed them despite their sharp senses.
“This is really interesting!” said Faker as he briefly appeared in the middle of the wolves. He seemed to be very excited as he could now use all of the assassination techniques that he had in the real world.
In the meantime, the wolves around him seemed not to notice despite him standing near them. Faker did not only hide his presence entirely, but he also erased his scent perfectly, making the wolves unable to smell him.
This was one of the techniques that his family created. And this was the technique that made the Valentine Family become the most feared even among all of the Assassin Families.
“Maybe I should experiment more,” he added as his arms seemed to disappear for a brief moment.
Thud!
Then a series of soft sounds could be heard as the wolves around him earlier started to fall one after another.
Arthur was currently wearing a confused look on his face. He didn’t know what had gotten into these guys but he was sure that he would miss the fun if he didn’t join them now.
He then picked up his spear and shield and quickly sprinted ahead to join the party. It looked like he ignored the fact that the other four were much stronger than usual.
The only thing that he had in mind right now was not to lose against them. And for him to do that, he needed to bring out his very best.
Arthur was playing the virtual games much longer than everybody else in the group. He liked playing games since he was young, even before Shin arrived in their place. As a prodigy who didn’t have a worthy rival during that time, he could only enjoy the intense competition that the virtual games had.
Given this, Arthur should be the one who had the most experience with virtual games. Even more, experienced than Faker since that guy was obligated to carry the legacy of his family as the young master and the most talented assassin that was ever born in the Valentine Family.
Together with the competitive spirit that he had and the current atmosphere of the battlefield, alongside his vast experience in virtual games, Arthur unconsciously entered the ideal state that was needed for Reality Manifestation.
The golden aura covering his body took a sudden change. It became much fiercer and more majestic.
Arthur even felt that he could feel every micro-movement of his body.
This was a strange feeling for him. But he completely ignored it since he was too focused on fighting wolves and not wanting to be left behind by the group.
Then he started perceiving everything from a different point of view.
Everything around him. It looked like he could see all of them. The wolves, the ground, the snow, and even the state of the battle where the other four were fighting. All of them were very clear to his eyes.
He could even feel that he had grown a pair of eyes at the back of his head as he could clearly see what was happening behind him.
“What is this?” thought Arthur to himself as he started to notice the strange event happening to him.
He was not sure what it was but he continued to fight regardless. He even started utilizing this strange ability that he suddenly gained out of nowhere to the fullest.
Each of his movements became more solid and much steadier, his spearmanship became more refined, and his utilization of Mana reached a whole other realm – it looked like he was manipulating it just like his Internal Qi.
“This is amazing!” Arthur started to enjoy this feeling.
He raised his head a little higher and looked at the wolves ahead of him. All of them were looking at him and growling. But despite all of that, they refused to move from their position.
They were looking at Arthur very ferociously but also seemed to fear him at the same time. They wanted to pounce at him but their bodies refused to move after seeing the pair of eyes that he currently had.
Those eyes with golden pupils and vertical slit irises were clearly warning them that they were going to die if they make any sudden moves.
*Ding*
A system notification rang in Arthur’s ears but he completely ignored it.
He looked at the wolves in front of him and spoke. “What’s wrong little puppies? Aren’t you enjoying chasing after us before? Where is your previous ‘enthusiasm’ go? Playtime is not over yet.”
The wolves couldn’t understand what he was saying, but their instincts were telling them that a higher being was currently standing right in front of them.
They couldn’t see it but they could sense it through his eyes. A golden dragon was definitely standing behind Arthur and currently looking at them with its majestic eyes.
Then Arthur swung his spear at those wolves, releasing a crescent golden energy from its tip that swept through everything.
Roar!
A loud and majestic roar could even be heard alongside that swing, creating an illusion where a dragon was swinging its claws at those wolves.
With those four gods on the loose, the whole wolf den turned into a slaughterhouse where those wolves were being butchered.
They seemed to have forgotten the reason why they were in this place. It looked like it was not important anymore as they were more focused on the new summit that they had reached.
