Chapter 23
Chapter 23
I shouted for hooray at the message informing me that I had reached Level 100, an indication that I was not one of the mass number of users who got Level 100.
That’s why another message rang.
[You have acquired three skill points by achieving Level 100.]
I’ve attained three new skill points.
Of course, I can learn new skills before Level 100 because although three skill points are given when I achieve Level 100, the skills are released step by step per level.
But I didn’t bother to move because I didn’t feel like I was lacking.
Of course, I’m going to move now because I’m thinking of moving to a more powerful hunting ground.
At that moment, a message rang, something that obviously didn’t ring during the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd closed betas.
[Congratulations on achieving Level 100.
-Enhancement Quest limited to Level 100 players only has been given.]
“Enhancement Quest?”
I didn’t see it in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd closed betas.
So, I felt a bit bewildered about it at first.
But I didn’t feel it either, because I felt rather excited in no time.
I already had the ‘God of Enhancement’ trait.
So, I shouted immediately, “Check Enhancement Quest!”
[Level 100 Enhancement Quest
This is a special bonus for users who struggled to achieve Level 100.
: Only one item can be strengthened free of charge for this quest without a weapon or armor enhancement stone. However, it is limited to general grades, and only items that can be worn up to Level 200 can be strengthened.
: For this quest only, the failed item will not be broken even if strengthening fails.
: When the enhancement fails, the item’s enhancement value will be determined as one before the failure.
: Items that attempt to be enhanced belong to their actual users. (Users cannot trade or exchange them. Sales at stores are allowed.)
: The special bonus will be given according to the maximum enhancement achievement.
: Enhancement quest will disappear when you don’t strengthen or when you level to 101.]
“Special bonus?”
While checking the contents of the message, my pleasant excitement disappeared because an item with a level limit of up to Level 200 in the general category was meaningless to me.
It was not worth my time trying to strengthen it.
But my excitement surged again at the explanation at the bottom because it said I would receive a special bonus depending on the maximum enhancement achievement.
In other words, I was confident in achieving the highest enhancement level that nobody had ever achieved before.
“Let me log out first!”
Looking back, I felt good memories about having earned the title, ‘Scarecrow Destroyer,’ which increased health and mana by 100,000 respectively, and all stat points by 200. So I felt like I needed to gather a little more information.
I thought lots of Revival Legend users who already completed the Level 100 Enhancement Quest must have posted lots of articles about it.
I accessed the Revival Legend homepage and searched Level 100 Enhancement Quest in the forum search box.
As expected, quite a few posts appeared. Then I clicked on the article that received the most recommendations.
[How to navigate the Level 100 Enhancement Quest.
If you have reached Level 100, you must have received the Level 100 Enhancement Quest.
Of course, only items that can be worn only up to Level 200 in the general grade can be strengthened. They may be useless to those who buy items with cash, but excellent to those users who don’t if you are lucky.
Let me go back to the main topic.
First, choose weapons over armor. Basically, the weapon enhancement stone is more expensive. Assuming that you will use it up to Level 200, weapons with higher reinforcements are more efficient than armor, whether it is long range, short-range, or a physics-type or magic-type.
Second, make Enhancement 3 in advance. Basically, all items are 100% successful until Enhancement 3.
However, this Quest breaks from Enhancement 1. Therefore, it is recommended to strengthen it up to 3 before challenging. By the way, it is just up to 3. Items with more than Enhancement 3 that is, 4 or higher, cannot be registered.
Third…]
I’d been looking for the special bonus for achieving the maximum Enhancement level, but it was missing there.
It only contained tips on how best to use the Enhancement Quest.
So, I started to look for other articles, then I found an eye-catching title.
[Bonus for the Level 100 Enhancement Quest.
You guys must have received this quest when you reached Level 100, right? Honestly, it’s important only to those users who buy items with cash, but useless to those who don’t or those who are already supported by the guild because they already bought items with cash or got better items with the guild’s support.
But according to the description, you will be given a bonus depending on the enhancement achievement.
Some of the people I know have succeeded in getting Enhancement 9.
Unfortunately, one of them failed to reach 10, so his item was confirmed with 9.
But do you know what the bonus is?
He received the title, ‘The man who failed to strengthen to two digits.’
As you might know, it is a title that gives a player 50,000 Health and 50,000 mana.
So, you get the hang of it, right? What do you think will happen if you succeed in strengthening the two digits?
Of course, you may want to take another attempt to strengthen, but it’s only a quest that you can get by trying the enhancement.
You guys may have seen Enhancement 10 items on the market, but those who succeed in strengthening don’t get any titles.
So, this quest is very important. As far as I know, only have two succeeded with Enhancement 10 in the Level 100 quest. Of course, there may be more.
There probably is Enhancement 11, but the bonus for it is unknown.
I guess it’s tremendous, and that’s why they can’t release it.
So, don’t regard this quest as just a tiny one. If you are really lucky, you will be rewarded with a tremendous bonus, which can clearly set you apart from others.]
“Wow!”
It was exactly the type of information I was looking for. It explained why I should do my best to strengthen by using the ‘God of Enhancement’ trait.
So, I immediately closed the Revival Legend homepage and went to bed to wear the 2nd-generation VR adaptor because the ”God of Enhancement’ trait had a cooldown.
“Execution!”
Stone golems were visible from a close distance as soon as I accessed it.
Normally I should have fired an Ice Ball or an Ice Bolt in this situation.
However, ignoring the stone golems, I quickly moved to the starting point of the Golem Habitat where the Teleport Zone was located. Then I moved straight to Kotum Castle using the Teleport Zone.
I went to visit a blacksmith in Kotum Castle.
Bang! Bang!
The closer I got near the blacksmith, the clanging grew louder.
Of course, I had used this place a few times.
During the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd closed betas, I made all wearable items up to Enhancement 3 because the success rate was 100%.
Sometimes I challenged myself for further enhancements, but I didn’t feel like it was significant because I didn’t like the way the golden rings and items I obtained by investing my time and effort disappeared because of just one element called luck.
However, I honestly envied those users who carried high-enhancement items because there was no other way than to wear the items and grow faster.
So, when I received the God of Enhancement trait, I didn’t shout hooray because I was bewildered, but I was very happy deep down. I was much happier than when I earned the Iceman and Mutual Growth traits.
Anyway, the area around the blacksmith was quite crowded with those trying to strengthen items. I also mingled with them.
Then the message rang.
[Please select the item you want to strengthen.]
It was a message that rang automatically when anybody approached the blacksmith.
The ringing was familiar to me because I heard it several times during the first, second, and third closed betas. But soon an unfamiliar message popped up.
