Chapter 261 - 261 - Dying Wish
"It was the soil.... why is it still not able to sustain the plants? We already got rid of the meteor dust, so why...." he checked all the information.
Something did not add up at all.
"What am I missing?...."
Suddenly, the thing inside of him moved again. The veins in his arms shifted slightly tightening the muscles nearby...
"Shit..." he tiredly walked over to the table, which held all the food he got as ration. The biscuit packet was left open from yesterday's leftover. he took one out and ate it.
Right as the food hit the back of his throat, the overwhelming feeling of throwing up rose up. he threw up everything in the nearby dustbin.
He took the water bottle and took a gulp of it. eve water did not stay in his body. He puked it all out.
He tossed the empty bottle away resentfully...
"It's getting worse... what should do.. I have to solve it. I have to solve this issue before i…."
The hunger inside of him was increasing. He was unable to do anything. His mind was boggled.
He ran over to the sink and open the tap. Water gushed out slightly brown for a second but after a while, it came out clear.
He leaned down putting his head right under the tap. The water flowed in without any control. He gulped it down. Surprisingly his body accepted this contaminated water.
There was a small sense of satisfaction when he drank it.
But it was not enough. The hunger in his body could not be satiated with just this.
"Need more.. Need more...."
He drank and drank and drank.... it was never enough...
It was never enough.....
His stomach was full, but not full at the same time.
He closed the tap and sat down. his clothes were fully soaking wet... he licked his hands clean..
"What should I do? Why is this happening to me.."
The hunger in this body was not diminishing. It was hard to deal with...
"I want it to end. I want it to end," he silently sobbed, hugging his bent knees.

Right out the door, Hary stood there with his hand raised up awkwardly to knock on the door. It was just ten minutes ago that he stormed out of there in anger. But on his way, qian met up with him and showed a small box full of samples.
"Give it to Prisitsky,"
"Hey, I have something to do. You give it to him."
Qian glared at him. "I deal with the human virus. He deals with the plant virus. These are the new soil samples. Just give it to him."
"I can't!"
"Just give it to him and say I won. I am a great scientist compared to him,"
Hary glared at him.
"Okay that was harsh and childish, just tell him I said good luck. We really need it if we have to solve our food crisis" He ran away without stopping.
That was what happened just a few minutes ago.
Hary still stood there without knocking. "Should I just place it out the door?"
There was a loud sound of water coming from inside.
Sighing he opened the door and walked in. "I know I just stormed out of here, but Qian told me to give it to you. Just take it. But I swear I will find out what you are hiding. i..."
He met the sight of a soaking wet scientist sitting on the ground like a pitiful child.
"What the hell!"
He ran to him. "What happened? Why are you so wet? You'll get a cold, you idiot!" he took some tissue from the table nearby and wiped his head. "You okay? Hey."
Prisitsky glanced up with a blank look on his face.
He was not sure if his face was wet or if he was crying. He wiped his face gently.
Without a word, he sat down next to him.
Prisitsky just sniffed softly, rubbing his nose.
"Tell me the truth, are you dying?"
Prisitsky glanced at him with a sad smile "don't know. Might be..."
"Is there any way to heal you,"
"Don't know...."
"Aren't you a scientist? Can't you figure it out?"
"It's something different," Prisitsky smiled at him and stood up. "I don't know how long I will live. Before that, I wish to find a solution for this virus."
Hary sat there completely shocked. He had a small clue that Prisitsky was sick but he did not realize that he was that sick.
He grabbed his hand without even realizing it.
"y-you... you're really dying,"
Prisitsky glanced down at him with an unknown look in his eyes. "..."
"Like seriously... you... you can't die.. it's not okay. You can heal yourself right. You can see a doctor. he will find a solution."
Prisitsky shook his head and pushed his hand away. "It's past that. I only hope to live until I can solve this,"'
"no! I won't allow that! you have to try.... you have to try to find a way."
"Enough...… That's enough harry. Go on. Your job here is done. Let me work in peace," he took the box from the floor and started to check the samples.
Hary just sat there completely in a dazed state. He had seen sick people before... a lot of sick people.
It left a toll on his mental health….
Back when he was little he was almost on the verge of getting rejected for the assassin training. He had a mental breakdown that day and ran into one of the selection tents.
There he saw something.
Something he could not forget in his entire lifetime.
Children tied to hospital beds and were injected with something weird. they were all convulsing and spitting out foam….some of the kids were kept in literal glass cages.
Back then he didn't realize what they were doing but after a while he got a clue. the children who were rejected from the training camp were sent out for clinical testing.
Illegal clinical testing.
Only boys were used though.
The girls were sold off because they have much more value.
Thankfully he was selected for assassin class.
That experience still lingered in his soul, like an unhealing scar.
Thinking about seeing Prisitsky in that same state.... he could't even imagine that.
He stood up, hugging him tightly. "I can heal you! I can... so don't give up,"
'If I can ask for Yue's help and borrow Trexa.. she can heal him right? She can... she is very talented. She can heal him.'
Prisitsky pushed him away with a cold look on his face. "Empty words will not give me hope. Don't ever touch me without permission.. I don't need saving. Just get lost, Hary,"
