Chapter 359 Ciri’s Value
With the number of puzzle pieces he had in place, it became easy for Lenny to tell the full story.
Ella claimed that she had killed that Nether creature that stayed in wait out of love for Ciri.
As romantic as that sounded, Lenny did not believe it one bit.
She most likely did it because she saw an opportunity.
An opportunity she could not resist.
Lenny did not even need the system to realize that, somehow, Ciri was special.
After all, she was able to summon a Nether that destroyed an entire country on her own while in chains.
Also, Ella had said that she taught Ciri how to be a witch.
Of course, it made sense that a witch would teach a witch.
Yes! The concept that one needed just negative magic to be a witch was, in itself, ludicrous.
After all, Ella had stated one thing clearly.
She was a Nephilim.
As far back as Lenny could remember, the only angels that had sexual relations with men’s daughters were fallen angels.
In other words, Ella had the blood of a fallen angel in her veins, hence the corrupt holy power.
Lenny chuckled a bit. “I must thank you! If you had not killed that fake and let the witch’s guard down, this next part would have been a lot more difficult.”
Lenny waved his hand, and the Katana appeared.
However, the moment he was about to bring it down on Minnie’s neck, he froze.
His hand froze in the air.
This surprised him, and he raised his head at Ella.
She had one of her hands raised. Even though they were a significant distance away, she still froze him in place with a lift of her hand. 𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐧𝗼𝘃𝐞𝐥.𝗰𝐨𝗺
“How are you…?”
She waved her hand, and the sword left his hand, and then she waved it again, and Lenny was smacked to the ground.
She waved it again, and he was smacked to the side by a giant nether creature’s corpse.
“What the Fu..!?”
She waved again, smashing him to the ground once more. Except this time, it was so hard that it created a small crate.
Ella giggled.
“Lenny Tales, you are really an incredible man,” she walked up to him as she waved for him to rise.
Her fingers gestured, and he was pulled towards her.
Lenny frowned. “My… medicine!” He mentioned through gritted teeth.
“Yes, it’s your medicine. While you were too focused on getting the invitation stone, Mani swiped the rest for me.”
As she talked, she waved her hand, and Lenny floated in the air.
“I added… certain… dare I say materials to it. You can say I perfected it,” she giggled, her eyes displaying the fervent madness she had always kept hidden.
“Now, my body can essentially change the energy and frequency it gives out constantly so that I can control objects… or’subjects’ around me… You can say I have…”
“Telekinesis!” Both of them said it together.
“Hmmm! That’s good. You are quite knowledgeable.” She suddenly ascended into the air as her light wings appeared and flapped.
As she flew, Lenny floated in the air along with her.
In no time, they were on top of the hill.
This was where the ritual was to take place.
The twelve pillars with runes on them were all around, and then in the middle was the altar.
Ciri laid on it. Her breathing was heavy, and even though the night was very cool, she was sweating a lot.
Her form had become even younger, an obvious indication that the souls inside her body were in disharmony as they tried their best to stay within the body.
Ella gently walked up to her.
She stroked her fingers on Ciri’s face.
And then she turned to Lenny. “Believe what you will or not; I actually loved her. Not these little runts inside her, but the real her. Although that was not the initial plan.”
Ella took a few steps about Ciri: “She was born with an amazing bloodline. Her great-great-grandfather was a gypsy. He did something great as a favor to the fallen, and so his bloodline was blessed. Ciri, as the last of his bloodlines, was an accumulation of that blessing. This was a blessing so great that her bitter pain and tears drew upon the illusive Nether realm to ease her suffering.
Trust me, you don’t know how long I searched for the one with this bloodline. Even though the UN was not able to pay me the full price for my service, I still took the job anyway.
You see, Ciri carried with her everything I wanted or ever needed. She was a lover, a student, and best of all, she was my friend.”
“Is that why you killed her?” Lenny added.
“Killed her? No! Who told you I did such a thing?” Ella gave an expression of surprise, as if she were hurt by Lenny’s words.
“It only makes sense,” Lenny added. “Even the first time I met her, she did not kill me. I had suspected it before, but now I know I was right. The only reason she attacked me was because I use Holy Power. She most likely thought that I was afflicted with you.”
Ella nodded. “You got that right. Ciri made a vow a long time ago; all that made it to her domain are entitled to life. It is a creed even her students kept.”
Ella patted Ciri’s head. “Or is that not so, you… Ten?”
She looked at Ciri as if she were looking at the ten souls hiding inside her.
“I still don’t understand. Why Ciri? What’s so special about her bloodline?”
Ella immediately raised her head toward Lenny.
“Everything, everything is special! You see, in only a few years, I turned Ciri from an acolyte to a senior witch and then to an elder witch. I did it so I could get my hands on them.”
Lenny could suddenly guess what she meant.
“You wanted the invitation stones…”
