Davis and City Lord Davis were quite speechless.
They didn't intend for this to happen when they used this modified Karmic Impersonation Technique.
So far, Davis has performed four types of Karmic Impersonation Techniques.
The very first one was the identity theft he committed on dead soul essences, masking his identity with theirs. Back when he went to save his friends in the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Minor Realm, he had used the identity of Bandit Emperor Rekan Lockette to infiltrate. He used the same when traveling with Clara for the last time, acting like a servant before she was taken away, while he went to steal the black-white stone from Rokushi Mirai.
He called this the Karmic Impersonation Technique, the base technique for stealing a dead soul essence's identity.
The second technique was the one that allowed him to usurp someone's fate.
This not only required Karma Laws and Judgment Laws but also the scarlet thread from the Scarlet Destiny Spindle.
This allowed him to steal their memory, reliving their past, stealing their present, and guiding their future while still being able to use his own techniques, although this left the consciousness of the victim in a state of death until he undid the technique, where they would quickly die.
He called this technique Karmic Impersonation: Identity Usurpation or Karmic Identity Usurpation for short.
However, he couldn't be using the scarlet thread every time, so when his Enigmatic Heart Laws managed to breakthrough to the State of Divine Possession, he didn't need the scarlet thread to read someone's past. Instead, he could just possess them and learn of their past, and thereby, had the ability to selectively read memories and possess the victim's body, soul, and Will while still managing to be them.
He called this technique State of Divine Possession: Karmic Impersonation or Divine Karmic Impersonation for short.
Then the fourth technique was when he used to usurp the aura from dead soul essences and not their identities. This was the technique he was using as Dragon to mask his aura.
He called this technique Karmic Impersonation - Aura Duplication.
Finally, he created the fifth iteration of the technique, which had long been standing in his mind from the time when he saved Natalya from Heaven's Concealment.
He had grasped Twilight Laws because he learned a bit from Fairy Qiyra Darkstar and Mingzhi for a few hours before coming here.
He wanted to add Twilight Laws to Divine Karmic Impersonation and further enhance the concealment and perception interference to even fool the likes of the Celestial Transcendent. After all, his purpose in using Karmic Impersonation was to also continuously improve it so that he wouldn't be affected by the risks.

The two Davises could only hope that this was reversible, like the other Karmic Impersonation Techniques.
"Do you think we could switch identities actively?" City Lord Davis asked. This was the original Davis.
"Maybe we could try…" Dragon said and pursed his lips. He looked at himself and thought the fourth and fifth techniques could amazingly stack since he retained the fake aura.
The two of them stared at each other as though looking deep into their souls for ten seconds straight.
"Ah, this isn't working…" City Lord Davis waved his hand.
Dragon clenched his teeth, "Dammit, this technique isn't as flexible as I thought, like switching from real to illusory anytime we wanted. We could research it later. In any case, if we reverse the technique, the one in the actual City Lord's body, me, you would die along with the City Lord-ugh, his name is Kain Waterland, titled Deepstream Ocean Empyrean, known as Deepstream Ocean Exalt among the upper echelons-"

Hence, he was greatly respected until his reputation slowly receded because of his impotency, which naturally caused him to be angry all the time.
However, recently, the fourth wife was suspected of having an emotional affair with the Steward after he was clearly humiliated by the Hexadra Clan when they handed over the City Lord's position to him. This strained their relationship even further. Hence, this was an unexpected situation he never expected to find himself in.
Now the two Davises understood why the handsome fatty said the City Lord was miserable.
He felt he would be miserable too if he didn't have the capability to sire children.

"True."
Dragon nodded before he smirked.
"Now then, do we steal the Divine Techniques from the Saint or continue with our plan to steal heaven and earth energy?"
He brought out the formation core from his spatial ring, which was the City Lord's spatial ring. It looked like an imperial seal.
"With this in our hands, we can siphon the energy we want from the underground roots without getting noticed."
"Indeed, but why shouldn't we do both?"
"You serious?" Dragon raised his brows, "Since the Celestial Transcendent is possibly following the Saint around, even if the former isn't there because of the disturbance created by the Heavenly Blight Hall, the latter must surely have treasures that defend against Will attacks because they know we have Enigmatic Heart Laws to use."
"Indeed." City Lord Davis grinned lightly, "But we don't have to deal with him ourselves. Let the City Lord's fourth wife deal with him."
"Don't be evil." Dragon reminded, "We'll let her do this if she truly did cheat. If not, we'll deal with this ourselves somehow."
City Lord Davis nodded, "Alright, limit the damage caused by impersonation, not that it means anything since we just created a lot of widows yet again."
"It amounts to something…!" Dragon roared softly, "And this and that are different. Clearly, this miserable City Lord is now a tyrant, even kidnapping people and having fun with them, either killing or ravishing. He even bought the kidnapped Hayden Family's Young Mistress, whom we heard of in the inns when we were with handsome fatty. Do you think he deserves any sympathy?"
"He doesn't, but his people do." City Lord Davis sighed, "In any case, let's bring Epsila and Divinacia here."
