Chapter 528 - Who Is More Unreasonable!
Chapter 528: Who Is More Unreasonable!
With the mandate by Liu Jinlai, Captain Zhao brought five police officers with him into Qingshui Restaurant.
Tang Tianhao was a VIP. Liu Jinlai was naturally responsible for his safety. The officers around him had live ammunition.
However, there were a lot of tourists at the shore of Qingshui Lake. The policemen present didn’t take out their guns in order to prevent a panic. They rushed into the hotel empty-handed and would only pull their guns out if they encountered resistance.
Tang Tianhao’s expression remained unreadable and cold. He stood there quietly, allowing Liu Jinlai to deal with the situation. His brain, however, was busy analyzing the situation.
Qingshui City hasn’t been peaceful recently. Many mysterious characters appeared out of nowhere. Zhang Dengke must have offended someone without knowing.
Something didn’t quite feel right, but he said nothing and waited to see what was going to happen.
“Director Liu, bring two men with you and go up as well. Get to the bottom of the situation before making a decision. Don’t let you men fire their guns,” Tang Tianhao said to a very angry Liu Jinlai.
“Director Tang, what is there to understand? Throwing someone from the sixth floor, completely ignoring the lives of others… No matter the reason, it’s intentional homicide,” Liu Jinlai said indignantly.
Tang Tianhao frowned slightly. Liu Jinlai was only half right. The victims didn’t die!
“It takes two to tango. Better get to the bottom of things,” Tang Tianhao repeated himself, glaring at Zhang Dengke.
Luo Zhong fell from grace. The Deputy Mayor of Qingshui City, Xie Zhenting, could no longer do as he liked. However, his elder brother, Xie Zhentang, held a prominent position in Beijing. A huge tree had deep roots. Li Yifeng and Tang Tianhao wouldn’t be able to topple Xie Zhenting any time soon.
Xie Zhenting’s wife, Zhang Lan, was the Dean of the Jiangnan Provincial Hospital. She also possessed a very strong background.
It was because of these relationships that Xie Junyan was so arrogant. He cracked Tang Meng’s skull and fractured his ribs when Li Yifeng and Tang Tianhao were in trouble!
Tang Tianhao would have taken revenge for his precious son even if it meant throwing away his position as the Deputy Director of the Public Security Bureau. He only managed to suppress his anger after Li Yifeng analyzed the situation for him.
He still pretended that nothing had happened because of his relationship at work even now. He would still greet Xie Zhenting with a smile on occasions when he met him.
Li Yifeng was right. It was never too late for revenge. Moreover, Tang Meng was cured by Ling Yun. He was only in pain for a few short days. His body was now stronger than before.
Tang Meng also told Tang Tianhao that he would avenge himself. There was no need to involve Tang Tianhao.
His son was safe and sound, and his opponent’s son was now on the run as a criminal. Tang Tianhao had some dirt on him as well. He was only waiting for the right time to strike! He, Tang Tianhao, could afford to wait!
Moreover, both sides knew that Xie Junyan and the rest concealed themselves because of Ling Yun!
Tang Tianhao didn’t need to be worried as long as Ling Yun hadn’t started his attack.
Zhang Dengke was Zhang Lan’s nephew. They might not be close, but they were from the same family. Tang Tianhao knew that Zhang Dengke was a hundred percent the cause of this incident, but he acted dumb for the time being.
Liu Jinlai was naturally more aware. He stole a glance at Tang Tianhao and decided it was necessary for him to go into the restaurant as well. He could be prepared in advance in case something else cropped up.
“Director Tang, I-I’ll head in as well then?” Liu Jinlai asked cautiously.
Tang Tianhao nodded.
…
Qingshui Restaurant, Penthouse, Sixth Floor, Lakeview Hall.
Perhaps the chefs of Qingshui Restaurant were used to all kinds of big scenes, or perhaps there were too many guests today and they didn’t even know what happened.
No matter what the reason was, the eight appetizers found their way into the room quickly.
“I’m starving after the exercise. Come, let’s eat!”
Ling Yun started the meal with the two beauties beside him.
They were there for a meal, and it shouldn’t be delayed no matter how things developed.
The beautiful waitress had been staring at Ling Yun with a pair of big eyes. She couldn’t help but feel that this was the man of her dreams.
She sighed when she laid her eyes on the two beautiful girls accompanying Ling Yun. She was beautiful too, but she was lacking when compared to them.
She confirmed that they needed nothing else from her before she took her leave.
She saw six stern policemen coming out from the elevator. They were definitely there to make arrests.
She hesitated but rushed back to Lakeview Hall anyway. “The police are here,” she whispered to Ling Yun.
Ling Yun merely nodded and gave her a smile. “Do what you need to, don’t worry needlessly.”
Ling Yun continued his meal, though he didn’t forget to grab some food and put it into Ning Er’s bowl.
Captain Zhao barged in before the waitress had time to close the door.
Five police officers followed closely behind.
It was really the public security this time. Ling Yun did do the deed. The waitress could only shuffle to one side and watch the development of things silently.
Captain Zhao locked his gaze onto Ling Yun immediately upon entering.
“Who was the one who threw men down from this room?”
Ling Yun brought a piece of burdock to his mouth and chewed slowly, swallowing little by little. Finally, he took a sip of water.
“It was me.” Ling Yun finally raised his head to look at Captain Zhao.
Captain Zhao was just wondering if he entered the wrong room when he saw how Ling Yun was so relaxed. Anger resurfaced again in his heart when Ling Yun confirmed the culprit was indeed him.
He wasted no time directing the five officers beside him. “Handcuff him!”
Ling Yun’s brows knitted in annoyance. “Wait…”
“You are now suspected of intentional homicide. We’ll hear what you have to say back at the Public Security Bureau,” Captain Zhao continued before Ling could get another word in.
“Intentional homicide? Who died? And why are you making arrests without understanding the situation?” Ling Yun’s voice was cold and hard.
Ling Yun was irked. The policemen were block-headed and unreasonable. It was the same with Luo Zhong, Lin Menghan, and now this guy. They loved to bring everyone back to the station first.
Could they not function outside of their own offices?
Could it be that they had insufficient confidence outside and had to return to their place of comfort?
Ling Yun became more furious the more he thought about it. He was unreasonable at times as well, but he paled in comparison to these law enforcement agents.
Ling Yun didn’t want to continue being reasonable to these policemen all of a sudden.
He became even more arrogant, too lazy to even continue speaking to them. He picked up his chopsticks and started eating again.
“Yum, the fish here is really good…”
Why would Ling Yun, who had the backing of the Public Security Bureau, bother himself with the policemen?
All six high ranking policemen were now pissed off at Ling Yun’s arrogance towards them!
“Handcuff him and take him away!” someone said. All six of them swarmed around Ling Yin.
“Get out,” Ling Yun warned in a quiet voice. He put down his chopsticks and gave each of the six policemen a huge slap.
Cries were heard. Six of them became green shadows and flew past the pretty waitress!
They landed one on top of the other in the corridor outside, writhing around in pain.
That was nothing. The thing that amazed the pretty waitress was how unconcerned Ling Yun was after he hit them. He continued eating unhurriedly.
The two beautiful ladies by his side hadn’t stopped eating. They ate comfortably and enjoyed the show.
Oh my god… First the City Urban Administrative and Law Enforcement Bureau, now the policemen. W-who exactly are these people… The waitress stood there in shock.
“F*ck… That guy just hit the police, now that’s interesting!”
“Let’s have a look!”
The guests from the other private rooms could hear everything. They noticed the commotion and dropped all their utensils to watch the excitement.
