Chapter 352 - 351 - The Other Races Attack(Part 8)
Chapter 352 – 351 – The Other Races Attack(Part 8)
Point-of-View: Belia Lasmodeus
———————————————————————————
Wait, those things can fight? Huh, I always just thought they were like ornaments or pets, just for show. This is a little bit bad for me…because I have absolutely no idea what they may or may not be capable of. Also, is it just me, or is the air getting colder? It’s not Water or Ice Magic though, what is this…?
“It is over, Belia. Lord Samsara granted me these creatures as weapons to be used if the need ever arose…and in the nearly two thousand years since the both of us came into existence, this will be the first time I use them in battle. I will kill you here and now!” Exclaimed Sant with determination.
So, this is what his Demigod Mode looks like, huh? The golden glow of his halo was brighter, a white marking pattern had formed on his arms and face, and probably his torso as well, it’s a similar pattern to what appears on my body when I transform.
Also, he had horns that looked just like the horns that his reindeer or whatever have, and a golden aura surrounded him. Okay, it’s definitely getting colder, and-…is that snow? It’s snowing? How!?
Well, whatever…I guess I’ll try luring him up here, and then teleport behind his pets and kill them. Yeah, that works. I fired a barrage of wind-enhanced fireballs down at Sant, who activated his Defense Magic and blocked my attacks.
Let’s see how long he can keep this up…I hated it when Kuro and Azyl found out the constraints of my Dimensional Magic defense…I wonder if Sant will hate it if I find out the limits of his Defense Magic? Guess there’s only one way to know for sure…!
“Chew on this, bitch!” I yelled out with a smirk, as I fired down several Elemental Magic blasts down at him.
Twenty seconds have passed by so far…twenty-five seconds…thirty…thirty-five…suddenly, his expression changed, a concerned frown on his face…well, what do you know, looks like I’m approaching the limit of his Defense Magic, just a little bit more should-…I was then forced to cease my attack as his reindeer came after me…running up the air towards me.
No, I mean literally, they were running on air. Well, this is annoying…and right as I was about to get an exact measure of how long he can maintain his Defense Magic too…well, at least I have a reasonable estimate, it’s better than nothing.
Right before the reindeer began to close in on me, I opened a portal beneath my right foot, raised my leg and then stomped into the portal with a smirk, while opening a connected portal…right above Sant’s head.
He let out a sharp cry of pain as my foot slammed onto his skull, I felt it crack beneath my foot, before pulling it back and evading as one of the reindeer closed in and aimed to strike me with its antlers, before teleporting out of the way as another of them blasted out an ice cold burst of wind from its mouth.
It’s starting to snow more and more…but only in the area within sight, and the clouds that the snow was falling from were formed just a couple dozen meters above ground, meaning they were inside of Sant’s barrier. Also, holy crap, these things are fast…way faster than I’d be in my normal state, and nearly as fast as I am in this state.
And I have a feeling that if one of them manages to successfully headbutt me, I’ll take a lot of damage…what the hell possessed Samsara to give Sant such powerful monstrosities? These things are more than twice as strong than Draco at full power, who’s easily the most powerful monster I’ve created.
Alright, I’m done approaching this fight with the primary intent of having fun…because I might be in trouble if I don’t start taking this seriously. As I evaded another of the reindeer, one of the others charged right at me with its horns pointed my way.
I took the attack head on, blood pouring out of my mouth as the horns pierced through me and its head slammed onto my midsection, rattling my body…okay, wow, that was some impact. But now it’s my turn to do some damage…!
“You creatures have been alive for almost as long as Sant and I have…well, now, I wonder if you’re immortal too? Hm…let’s find out, shall we?” I suggested with a smirk, grabbing hold of its neck to prevent it from getting away, before my smirk widened as I exclaimed, “Have a taste of my Weathering Magic, you dumb beast!”
The instant I started activating it, the animal let out a panicked bleat, struggling to wrench its horns out of my body. Sant quickly began flying up towards me, as the other three reindeer also started to come after me…but right as they all closed in, I teleported to the other side of the stadium, as the struggling of the reindeer in my clutches grew weaker and weaker.
But still, this is some lifespan…I’ve already aged this thing over a thousand years, which is in addition to the approximately one thousand five hundred years it’d already been alive for.
Aw, how cute, looks like Sant and the other three are persisting with chasing after me, talk about futile effort…I bet Sant hasn’t even considered using teleportation himself, he’s way too panicked. This is almost too easy.
I teleported again, and continued to do so each time they began to close in on me, until finally, after aging the thing a good three thousand plus years, it ceased functioning and crumbled into dust.
“No!” Exclaimed Sant in despair, “That was…that was a precious gift from Lord Samsara! How dare you…how dare you, Belia?!”
“Wow, you’re like a broken record, Samsara this, Samsara that, for fuck’s sake, have an original thought for once, you hopeless dumbass,” I scoffed in response, which only pissed him off further.
Well, if nothing else, I do like that he’s a lot easier to provoke now than he used to be. Heh, and his pets may be way more powerful than they have any right to be, but they’re still just dumb animals, killing them won’t be that hard…mm, I wonder how he’ll react when I kill the remaining three and-…
“Enough, I shall fight you myself…I cannot let you disgrace Lord Samsara any further. Prepare yourself, Belia Lasmodeus!” He declared, as he undid the summoning of his pets.
Huh? Is he for real? He had a real advantage over me with those things, and now he’s throwing that advantage away just because he doesn’t want me to kill another of Samsara’s fifteen hundred year old gifts? Wow. Talk about pathetic.
And also, a big mistake…I’d already decided that I was going to take this fight seriously, I’m not going to back off from that just because the situation is less dire now. I may be impulsive when I make most of my decisions, but once I make a decision, I stick with it…Sant on the other hand, is a lot more shallow in that regard.
But, then, that’s hardly surprising…he’s not even capable of thinking for himself, after all. We really are opposites in every way…and that wouldn’t change even if Samsara commanded him to join forces with me or something like that…because he wouldn’t be doing it of his own free will.
From the moment I came into existence to right this very second…I have always hated him from the bottom of my heart. And now, finally…I can do something about it.
“Well, what are you waiting for, Sant A.C. Laus?” I taunted with an icy smirk, “Show me what you’ve got.”

Point-of-View: Kuro Black

“Yo, boss dude! We’re all here like you asked, so whaddup?” Inquired Rion curiously.
“Right, I’ll get straight to the point…the Laus Domain is currently attacking the Rustlands. And one way or another, it’s looking like this battle won’t last much longer. So once the battle is over, that’s where we come in,” I replied, as I crossed my legs and explained, “We’ll only be there for five minutes. And the six of us will use that time to take out key players from whichever side comes out on top.”
I’d been watching the battle for a while, through my recon monsters cast with invisibility, and I was going to recall some of them in order to reverse the summon and teleport us to the Rustlands, so that we could take advantage of the situation, just like during the battle in the Elf forest.
So yeah, we were going to swoop in at the end, inflict some damage to both sides and then leave before they have a chance to retaliate. I’d called over Rion, Fuo, Azeria and two of the Elemental Dragons, namely the Lightning and Wind Dragons.
“My lord, if I may, why only five minutes, and why only six of us?” Inquired the Wind Dragon curiously.
“The reason is simple…we aren’t going in for a full on battle. No, we’re each going to take on fights that we have high chances of winning, and once we get that done, we swiftly withdraw…to put it simply, I don’t want a single casualty, got that?” I remarked, looking around at them, “That’s an order, you aren’t allowed to die. If you do, I’ll kill you.”
I love the irony of that statement…and on a more relevant note, it’s something I’ve always wanted to say…
