Chapter 361 - 360 - Intervention From The Abyss(Part 4)
Chapter 361 – 360 – Intervention From The Abyss(Part 4)
I probably can’t kill him, not unless he gets really careless anyway. The only option up my sleeve that will kill him is to drain his life force, but after my initial surprise attempt failed, he’s probably going to be wary of my claws and fangs…still, that doesn’t mean that this fight is pointless. No, quite the contrary…
“You are quite foolish, Kuro Black. To provide me with such an opportunity to get rid of you, you must be quite arrogant,” Remarked Sant with a smug look on his face.
“And you’ve sure done a complete one eighty since I last saw you, where’d all this passion dome from?” I responded dryly.
…as I was saying, this fight isn’t pointless. No, it’s a great opportunity to strike some fear into his heart, fear of me…
“I am sure that I do not know what you mean,” He responded with a frown, before disappearing…teleportation, huh?
Hmph…he really has no idea what I’m capable of, does he?
I then felt him reappear a few meters behind me and the moment I did, I fired out a bolt of red lightning at him from my tail, striking his face before he could react, a sharp cry of pain ringing out from behind me…with my heat sense, taking me by surprise is no easy task, I don’t have to see him to know where he is.
I then glanced back in his direction, right as he used Restoration Magic to heal the damage, before I used Teleport to slip right behind him and fired out an Obliteration Magic from near point-blank range, blasting a hole through him before he even realized that I was behind him, a pained gasp escaping his lips as my attack drilled through his body.
He then began to spin around with a roar of fury, blinded by rage. I had plenty of time to react, as I teleported right above him the moment he spun around and then reached down towards him, my claws starting to dig into the sides of his head.
He immediately flew straight down, my claws breaking skin but he got out of my grasp before I could start to drain his life force…just as I’d thought, he’s too wary of me attempting that. Hm, in that case…maybe a Chaos Magic spell to paralyze him first? Yeah…let’s try that.
I then swiftly flew out of the way as several blue blasts came zipping up towards me, evading them all with ease…those must be Destruction Magic, don’t want one of those to hit me or I’m in trouble.
I then teleported to the ground and fired out a blast of water charged with lightning at Sant, a green barrier forming around the spot I was aiming at, by his chest…Defense Magic, from the look of it.
Considering the fact that it’s a form of Divine Magic, it’s probably unbreakable. After all, my Absolute Defense Cross isn’t Divine Magic but it’s pretty much unbreakable, at least as far as I know.
I then shot towards him at top speed and swung my fist towards his face, my fist slamming onto his Defense Magic barrier…but that doesn’t matter, my real objective was to get in close. Time to activate my Chaos Magic-…
Ah, he’s avoiding my gaze. So, then, he’s wary of my Chaos Magic too, not just my fangs and claws. He suddenly let out a gasp of pain as his back burst into flames, as I had a Phoenix nearby attack him, one that was cast with invisibility.
I then had it quickly fly away, before blasting out a wave of acid from my mouth as he quickly put up his Defense Magic again just in time.
He then teleported a fair distance away, while putting up his Defense Magic to fully cover himself. Looks like he’s trying to take a second to calm himself, he looks like he wants to burst with rage, but realizes that if he does, it’ll just make things that much easier for me.
I reached into my coat and took out my scouter glasses or whatever we’re calling them, putting them on and getting Sant within my sights…let’s see how strong this guy is…oh, wow, greater than 320,000, that’s quite a bit higher than my power level.
Which makes his efforts in this fight all the more pathetic. It’s clear that he isn’t very used to fighting, but even so. What’s most interesting though…is the fact that his power level is lower than Az’s.
I then took the glasses off and put them away, before shifting my focus back towards him…he was starting to charge up a huge blast of Destruction Magic, a murderous look on his face. He then split up into several copies, forming twelve clones of himself, so thirteen including himself.
According to Belia, unlike my Quintuple Cross, the clones that Sant creates using his Clone Magic are equally powerful to him, and they last indefinitely until destroyed, but even then, he can instantly replace them. What a troublesome ability that is, this is gonna be annoying.
“It is over for you now!” All thirteen of him yelled simultaneously, as they began charging up Destruction Magic blasts and aiming them at me as they surrounded me while airborne.
“Oh, please…you severely overestimate yourself,” I remarked with a smirk, as I used my Healing Factor to widen my vocal chords and took in a deep breath.
Right as they began to fire their Destruction blasts down at me, I tilted my head up, opened my mouth and blasted out the most powerful sonic blast I’d ever fired, while sealing my ears shut to keep the sound waves from affecting me.
As I fired the blast from my mouth, Sant and his clones were almostly instantly affected by the auditory assault, some of their charged up blasts dissipating and the rest firing off in random directions.
Before they could recover, I swiftly took aim and fired out rapid, spinning Obliteration Magic blasts up at them, wiping out all of their heads before they could react. Twelve of the thirteen turned to dust, while one recovered…so that one’s the original.
Still, that Clone Magic is trouble, and he’ll definitely use it again…time to try something different. Now, I haven’t used this ability much at all, but I think it’ll be quite effective in this situation, assuming it works on him…a pointy, straight horn extended out of my forehead, just above my third eye, with a rainbow-like shimmer glowing around it.
I then activated Teleport and Quintuple simultaneously, forming one copy as I teleported myself behind Sant silently and my clone teleported right in front of him, with a lightning bolt charged up in its hand.
“Do not underestimate me!” Yelled Sant, as he activated his Defense Magic in front of himself to defend against my clone’s attack, having failed to even notice me behind him.
“No…don’t you underestimate me,” I remarked icily, as I fired out the rainbow beam from my horn, striking his back before taking aim as he let out a surprised cry and then hitting him with a wave of Repulsion, sending him flying down towards the ground and crashing down with a devastating impact.
I gained that ability from the Unicorns, a monster that had been under the command of the Beast King. The beam I fired doesn’t do much of any physical damage, but what it does do, is cause severe nausea and render the victims Mana flow berserk, making it all but impossible for them to use their magic for a little while.
From what I’ve seen, beings like Belia and Sant can’t sustain any physical damage that would actually kill damage, so I didn’t really think that this would work on them…but from what I’m seeing, it’s super effective.
“Wh-what…have you…done to me…!?” Gasped Sant, his face pale.
Ohh, I think I get it…since his physical body is basically a glorified shell for his non-physical form, his actual self is the non-physical form, which is probably a mass of infinitely self-renewing Mana, along with Divine Magic and life force…in other words, an attack that would normally just cause discomfort to an ordinary opponent is absolutely excruciating for him, because it’s effectively like I’m directly attacking his soul, or something along those lines…
“Oh, nothing much, I just disrupted your Mana flow a bit…heh, you’re supposed to have an unlimited pool of Mana right? Looks like that has made it extra effective…huh, I can’t help but wonder, if I destroy your body while you’re in this state, will you be able to use your Restoration Magic? What do you think?” I mused with a smirk, before my expression turned serious and I swung my foot up, slamming onto his jaw and sending him flying back, crashing onto the spectators’ seats with immense force.
I’ve got about a minute left before I teleport back to Abyss…more than enough time to kill him. I then used Teleport to close in on him, and as he began to try and crawl away with a look of terror, I grabbed his hair and lifted him up, before swinging him over my shoulder and throwing him down at the arena with all my strength.
He let out an alarmed scream as I flung him, before a loud crash erupted upon impact, his body slamming onto the ground and deep cracks spreading out from the point of impact, as a dust cloud rose up. Without the indefinite healing provided by his Restoration Magic, he’s no threat to me…
I then let out a slow exhale and shot towards him at top speed, slamming my fist onto his midsection as I closed in, before he could respond to my attack. I then grabbed his wrist and flung him straight up into the air, before zipping up after him and unleashing a barrage of heavy punches and kicks.
He began to try and put his hands up defensively, but he was too slow, as my fist struck and broke his jaw, before I shattered the bottom of his ribcage with a powerful knee strike. As blood poured out of his mouth with a weak, pathetic whimper, I teleported above him, balled my fists together and slammed them down onto him, sending him flying down towards the ground again.
As he crashed down with a devastating impact, most of his bones undoubtedly broken, I flew down towards the puddle of blood that was rapidly forming around him. The effects of the rainbow beam should last a while longer, but I think I’ll finish him off now, I’ve only got a little bit of time before I’m teleported back to Abyss.
“Writhing on the ground like a worm, how pathetic, are you seriously supposed to be a being who’s on par with Belia? Don’t make me laugh…well, I suppose it’s only fair that I put you out of your misery now, you must be in quite a lot of pain,” I remarked coldly, as I extended my claws.
“N-no…I refuse to die here!” He sputtered in terror, flecks of blood spraying out of his mouth, “I summon the reindeer!”
Hm? I see, looks like summoning those things don’t involve Mana at all, just like my monster summons. He’s summoned two of them…I saw that one was killed by Belia, guess he’s not summoning all of them to avoid all of them being killed.
One of the reindeer then ran up through the air towards me, as I felt a chill in the air, but the other one stayed on the ground…while Sant painstakingly attempted to grab its leg. Wait, is he-…crap, I should have known!
As the reindeer closed in on me and aimed its antlers at me, I evaded its headbutt and slashed off its head with my tail, before using Teleport to close in on Sant and drove my claws towards his neck as fast as I could.
Right as the tips of my claws pierced into his skin and I started to consume his life force, the reindeer swung a hoof out at me, forcing me to spring back to evade, and the instant I did, it teleported away, taking Sant with it.
Tch, I got careless…he managed to get away. However…it looks like I won’t be leaving empty-handed…
