Chapter 399 – 398 – Attack On Abyss(Part 10)

“Ooh, you almost had me that time, nice try!” Taunted Belia with a grin, as I swirled wind around my claws and slashed at her, grazing her right cheek.
She’s slowly starting to take this more and more seriously, with each of my attempted attacks, she plays around a bit less after each one, her movements getting sharper.
She’s such an infuriating opponent to fight, this is the worst! I can turn the tables if I use Accelerate, but if I do, I’ll be out of options in reserve…no, I won’t use Accelerate until she unleashes her Demigod Mode.
Suddenly, as I shot towards her, she halted in surprise, her gaze shifting downwards…an opening! I used Propulsion to give me a burst of speed, the momentum driving me towards her rapidly as I formed a swirling ball of flames, maximizing the spin with wind.
As I drove it towards the side of her head, she noticed and got out of the way just in time, my attack scorching through her hair and burning most of it off, as she avoided taking a hit to the head.
“Close call, you definitely almost had me there, but…you were too slow,” She remarked with a taunting smirk.
Damn it, I wasted a perfect opening…what distracted her, anyway? She wasn’t just playing around, something genuinely distracted her just then…
“Awfully bold of you to drop your guard like that,” I responded, staying alert.
“I suppose so, but I couldn’t help it…hm, I wonder where she disappeared off to?” Mused Belia in reply.
Where who disappeared off to? I gave a quick glance to the ground below, noticing the change immediately…the Lightning Sage was gone. Did she run away? No, that would have been difficult without being noticed.
Teleportation? But the nullification barrier prevents that…well, whatever, it doesn’t really matter. The fact is, she only dropped her guard around me because she doesn’t really see me as a threat. Alright, then, that’s it…I’m done holding back. I’m not going to wait for her to power up, no, in fact…I’ll prevent her from doing so.
I shot towards her again, charging up a massive fireball in my hands as I began to close in on her, to which she responded by opening a portal in front of herself as I closed in…just as I’d hoped.
Now, full speed, Accelerate x4!
As I boosted my speed, I zipped up and forward with rapid flaps of my wings to go above her, unleashing the charged up flames at point-blank range from directly above her, striking her and eliciting a surprised cry of pain from her as the flames enveloped her.
I’m not done yet! With another couple of flaps of my wings, I zipped down right behind her, as I swirled and compressed wind around my claws, before swinging my arms out and unleashing that wind…and tearing her body to pieces in an instant, ripping her to shreds.
The several chunks of her body, all on fire, plummeted down and crashed onto the ground, as I felt a sense of triumph. No question, she’ll definitely have to use her Restoration Magic after that and-…oh, right on cue, she’s back.
“Okay…that was pretty impressive, genuinely so,” She remarked with a wry smile, as she restored herself, “You were already more agile and nimble than me, and now you’re faster…yeah, you definitely have the advantage as things stand now. So…let’s change that, shall we?”
As a shockwave of power burst forth from her, I knew that it could only mean one thing…she was finally going all out, unleashing her full power. Fine, I’m not afraid, I’ll face her head-on!
“Alright, bring it on!” I exclaimed, as streaks of wind and flames swirled around me.
Yeah, that’s definitely her Demigod Mode…the glow of her halo was growing darker, as a mist-like black aura surrounded her. A black marking pattern appeared all over her body, clearly visible on her arms, legs and neck, with a couple of streaks halfway up her face. Her hair looked all wild now too.
“This is the best…hahaha, isn’t this fun!?” Laughed Belia gleefully, before a dark smirk appeared on her face, “The warm-up is finally over…time to really kick things off!”

“What cowardice, fighting me three against one!” Exclaimed Sant, as he entered his Demigod Mode.
“You of all people have no right to call anyone a coward,” Responded Sylvar venemously, seething with hatred and rage.
“Hey, stay calm, you’re more likely to screw up if you get all hot and bothered,” I warned him, right as a massive bolt of lightning burst down front the sky, striking the spot where Sant had been standing with immense force, the flash blindingly bright.
“It is rather frustrating to know that attacks like this have no real effect on him,” Frowned Bell, stepping forward.
“Not quite…while he can recover from any physical injuries, it definitely takes a psychological toll on him. In fact, he’s one of the most easily agitated opponents I’ve ever fought,” I replied, before getting ready as he reappeared using Restoration Magic, having been completely wiped out by that lightning blast, his eyes bulging as he trembled with rage.
“How do you plan to kill him?” Inquired Bell.
“I need an opening to use my rainbow beam-…an attack of mine that upsets the victim’s Mana flow, and is highly effective against him,” I answered briefly, since there was no time to explain.
I’d already discussed strategy with Sylvar, hope Bell can pick it up quickly.
“Alright, I’m going in!” Exclaimed Sylvar, as he shot towards Sant with his spear raised.
“W-wait, Syl-…,” Began Bell, before trailing off with a conflicted look on her face.
“Hey,” I remarked, snapping my fingers in front of her face, “Whatever awkwardness there is between you two right now, set it aside until this fight is over, or it might cost you,” I advised her, before flying up and forming a sharp, spinning disc of ice, increasing its speed with wind and giving it some extra flavor with a touch of lightning.
Sylvar had charged in, but it looks like that was a feint, he was keeping his distance and firing out ranged attacks while constantly staying on the move…his movements have drastically improved from the time I fought him and Bell, it’s pretty astounding how sharp and clinical his fighting style is now.
Guess I’ll give him an opening. I arched my arm back and swung it down as fast as I could, sending the spinning ice disc rapidly slicing through the air towards Sant, lightning streaks crackling around it as the swirling wind increased in momentum bit by bit.
Sant noticed it coming towards him, his eyes widening in alarm as he leapt out of the way, off to his left, but couldn’t fully avoid it, as the ice disc slashed off his right forearm like a hot knife through butter. It cut through so quickly that there wasn’t even a trace of blood on the disc, as it struck the ground and shattered.
For a brief moment, Sant was frozen, shocked by the sudden loss of half his arm…it barely lasted an instant, he barely even let his guard down, it was such a small opening that for most, it could hardly even count as an opening.
But Sylvar pounced immediately, before the disc had even begun to cut off Sant’s arm, Sylvar’s eye lit up as he spotted it and he shot towards Sant without skipping a beat, and now, he was right in front of him, his spear arched low.
“Take this, you rotten bastard!” Exclaimed Sylvar, as he swung his spear up with incredible force and efficiency, as he vertically split Sant’s body in half before he could even react.
Sylvar then fluidly sprang back as he puffed out his chest…oh, I see what he’s doing, I think I’ll lend him a hand. As he blasted out an absolute mountain of wind from his mouth, I used Clone Magic to form the maximum of twelve clones, before all thirteen of me fired out powerful waves of flames, converging with Sylvar’s wind and forming a massive inferno, a blazing storm of red flames…good thing this particular area is kinda barren.
I then swooped down towards the ground, landing next to Sylvar as I undid the Clone Magic…just because I can use it without a limit doesn’t mean that I should overuse it, I’ll just end up overly relying on it.
“DAMN IT!!!! YOU TWO ARE DEAD, I SWEAR THAT I WILL-!” Screamed Sant, almost maniacally, before being interrupted by another devastating blast of lightning that burst forth from the sky above him.
“Hmph, that is what he gets for overlooking me,” Huffed Bell with a frown.
Huh…three on one against this guy is now kinda feeling a bit…overkill…
