EMPEROR'S RECKONING

Chapter 753: What is Your Goal?

Chapter 753: What is Your Goal?

Garuda City was left astounded. They had their eyes balling out for the longest time, not even the founding day of the city could compare to what they had witnessed. They too knew, with gulps and gawked of disbelief, that the phenomenon that had just transpired will not be happening again in their lifetime, might not even for the later generations to come.

The three figures looked more like gods, rulers of the universe than those two beings whose sole existence was to test the worthiness of a mortal.

“The Mortal World’s glory is nigh,” one expert shook his head. “I have cultivated for a long time in a remote cave, it only took me one time to step outside before I see and realized how far have I fallen behind.”

“N-No, I don’t think that is the case, those three, they are exceptions! If you know their story, then you should know that they are bound in the order of one man, one young man,” another expert added. “I can only watch in this generation.”

Meanwhile, for the three figures hovering down from the sky, the gasp of the city was benign.

Graham and the other two landed on the balcony where Yunaesia greet them with a smile. “Young master Lyon is being carried away by his dear wife.”

Graham nodded before past her by without sparing a word. The cold nature of the half-giant was pretty much the opposite of those purebloods.

Yunesia smiled wryly. She had not been treated like that ever since she was famous for becoming a genius and possessing superb talent in magic cultivation. However, Lyon’s arrival in the Mortal World indirectly changed something that was out of her control. No matter how many tries she dug into his identity, he was nothing but a guy who was sent by the lights before arriving at Nostria. As if the heaven themselves sent the young man to salvage the situation where he arrived.

“There are so many clues but I hardly could connect them,” Yunesia sighed, “Though, I wonder if you are able to sleep tight, now that the orcs are on the move.”

“You.”

“Huh?” Yunesia raised her brows before finding a finger pointed at her. “L-Lady Kesya, is there something I can help you with?”

“Lady? Hmmm!” Kesya grinned from ear to ear with her eyes narrowed. “I like you, but I can see that you are interested in my young master.”

“Y-Your young master?” Yunesia chuckled. “Which women in this world would deny such a capable man?”

Kesya crossed her arms as she nodded. “That’s right, that’s a clever answer.”

“I thank you for your praise,” Yunesia slightly bowed before she sighed, “Though sadly, Cecile seemed to hog him by herself. She didn’t even let dragon woman nor the white tiger woman a portion of his flesh.”

“Ugh,” Kesya furrowed her brows as her ears curled the moment she heard how Yunesia word it out. “Are you eating humans for your cultivation or something?”

“What?! No!” Yunesia shook her head.

“Why are you panicking?” Kesya squinted her eyes at her.

Yunesia smiled wryly, “Everyone would be panicking if you asked them that question.”

“Hmm is that so?” Kesya raised her nose as she narrowed her glance before snorting. She sighed, and put her hands behind her head before walking past her, “You said that the demi-humans are attacking the humans?”

Yunesia raised her brows in surprise, but it only lasted a second. Her mind quickly reminded her of who this woman was. There was no question that she could eavesdrop on the meeting quite easily.

“Y-Yes, my source tells me that the orcs are on the move, in fact, it already raided one of the villages at the Border World, a few days ago.”

“The Border World?” Kesya frowned. “What are their goals.”

(She seemed to be interested in this topic more than her young master, perhaps I could use her help) thought Yunesia before she turned. “Their goals are currently unknown, however, they seem to have a helper from an external force.”

“External force, do you know what it is?”

“As of right now, I have no idea what it is, or maybe even who it is,” Yunesia shook her head.

“I see,” Kesya nodded. “This is more complicated than I thought it would be.”

“Are you willing to help us? The humans need you more than ever.”

“I don’t care about what the humans need or not, can’t you tell, I’m too a demi-human, a special case one at that,” Kesya smirked before she walked away.

“Then, why are you bringing this up?” asked Yunesia as she managed to make the latter stop her track.

“I’m just curious about it, that’s all,” Kesya left.

Yunesia frowned as she looked at Kesya leaving the balcony. (She might be a demi-human, but her royalty does not stay with them nor the humans themselves, her royalty stayed with that guy) she sighed. “Again, he is the pivot for everything grand.”

Meanwhile, Assid had already left the balcony long before Graham did. He was heading where his emperor was but found an aroma reaching his nostrils.

“Hmm?” Assid turned and darted his glance against a slightly opened door. He slightly peeked into the room before his ears caught a rhythm of hum and tip-toed steps. His black pupils shrunk the moment a figure he had never expected was present. “E-Empress..”

Cecile was cooking with a single pot where vegetables and the grounded seasoning were already by the side of the table. Her hands moved so fiercely and precisely as she hummed in the middle of the crackling oil.

Assid fixed his glasses before he stood up. He slowly pulled the door to a close before leaving her alone with her craft.

Inside a room where the king of the elf usually broods over his kingdom.

The king was lavishing his tongue with his wine to a gulp before he lightly stirred the wooden glass. His brows furrowed before he darted against his door. Sure enough, a double knock soon followed.

“Your Majesty, your guests have arrived, what shall I do?”

“Hmm, prepare the table for a small feast, how many are they?”

“There are four of them Your Majesty.”

“What do you think of them?”

“They are clad with thick cloaks Your Majesty, I can’t say for sure, please forgive me, Your Majesty.”

“You are forgiven,” the king put down his glass on the table. “Where are they right now?”

“They are waiting at the throne room, Your Majesty.”

“I see,” The elf king put on his royal cloak before opening the door and letting the elf guard bow at his sight. “I will come to greet them, tell the chefs to prepare them great dishes. We don’t want to be compared with the humans, serve them the elven wine.”

“At once, Your Majesty,” the guard bowed once more before making haste.

The elf king made his way with his boots stepping on the red carpet. He saw the illuminating light of the throne room before his presence brought the others to kneel. He darted toward the four people clad in thick cloaks with their faces hidden under the shadow.

“Ah, thank you for having us, King Galaeron, Kingdom Errel is such a beautiful sight,” said the cloaked person as he and the other three knelt.

“Hmm,” The elf king smiled. “I take it that you are the one to put my espionage into illusion?”

“Hehe, please do forgive me, Your Majesty, after all, I did what I did for precaution and my overall safety.”

The elf king snorted a smile, “That’s fine, I don’t mind that much, though I must say you are really capable.”

“I don’t deserve your praise, Your Majesty, however, thank you.”

“En, stand up, you are my guest, not my subject, you don’t have to bow that deep,” the elf king smiled before the four of them stood up. “I think that you would like a little feast to welcome you here, after all, what kind of king I am if I can’t treat my guests.”

“Oh my, we are surely delighted by your upcoming hospitality, King Galaeron.”

“En,” the king nodded. “I believe that you would like elven wine, so get excited for that, hahaha!”

“Hahaha!” The four of them laughed along.

The king smiled before he sat on his throne and looked at the four guests in front of him. “So then, I believe that you have questions inside your head, but surely you would let me ask you first.”

“Of course, Your Majesty,” he opened his arms. “We will do our best to answer your insightful question.”

“Hmm, you have a sweet tongue,” the king jested to the guest’s chuckle. “This group of yours, what is your goal working together with those brute green skins? I doubt that you despised the humans as well as those orcs.”

“That is correct, Your Majesty, the orcs have their thirst of fairness to be satiated, while we have some other thing to hunt.”

The king furrowed his brows.
