Falling In Love With Him – Her First Love

Chapter 179 - It's All Hers

Goddess Hera,

Â

Let me tell you a secret.Â

Â

Do you know?

Â

Every time I buy you a dress, a provoking thought crawls into my mind.

Â

I wish I could select all of your clothes and press delete, and I so want to do bad things with you.Â

Hera blinked in confusion and reread the message to make sure she read it correct. When the meaning behind his confession dawned on her, Hera blushed and then scowled.Â

‘What the actual fuck! God, he’s so shameless at times.’Â

“Yes, Mrs Hunter, you’re always in my inappropriate thoughts,” Hera heard his deep, raspy voice from behind and jumped in surprise.Â

‘Huh, how does he always read my mind?’

Hera looked at him, scanning in detail from head to toe. He had his arms crossed over his chest, a charming smile adorning his lips. Hera had always admired his beautiful purple eyes, but she loved them more when he woke up from sleep. They looked intoxicated, and Hera could never resist their magnetic pull.Â

His silky hair fell on his eyes, and Hera reached out to brush it back with her fingers. “You need a haircut,” she stated, and he shook his head in objection. “I’m planning to grow it long,” he said. Hera hummed her response before turning to grab the new dress. She held it in front of her body and grinned. “I like it,” she admitted merrily, her voice cheery.Â

“Happy birthday, love,” Hunter said, and Hera jumped into his arms, uttering thank you repeatedly. “You’ve lit the candles again,” he said when she pulled away. Hera felt content when she saw the delight dancing in his eyes. “You’re not allowed to get disappointed, not on my watch,” she declared, earning a chuckle from her boyfriend.Â

“Thank you, Mr Hunter. I’m impressed,” Hera said and leaned on her toes to kiss the tip of his nose. “You haven’t checked other gifts yet,” Hunter said, pointing to the boxes on the table. Nodding her head, Hera disappeared into the bathroom with her new dress while Hunter frowned in confusion before taking a seat on the sofa chair.Â

Swiping his finger through the fire flame, Hunter played with his lighter when he heard Hera clearing her throat. Shifting in his place, he turned to look over his shoulder and his eyebrows arched up in surprise. Hera giggled when he stared at her with his mouth open.Â

“Like what you see, Mr Hunter?” Hera asked while covering the distance between them. Hunter leapt to his feet and smirked while giving her a once over. The new long gown fitted her form perfectly, hugging her at all the right places. The soft satin material highlighted her bust, her slim waist, her hips and her long legs. Hunter’s gaze lingered at her bare shoulders, admiring her collarbone.Â

“Are you done, ogling?” She asked, lifting her hand to his mouth. “You have drool here,” she whispered teasingly while running her thumb over his lips. Hunter let out a delighted laugh before wrapping his arm around her waist and pulled her closer for a kiss. Hera closed her eyes in anticipation, but she never felt his lips against hers. When she opened her eyes, she found him smirking arrogantly.Â

Hera fixed him with a dirty look before shoving him off her way while Hunter laughed at her expense.Â

“Why are you wearing this dress now? You’re supposed to wear it tomorrow. It’s your wedding dress,” Hunter said. Hera sat on the other end of the sofa, creating distance between them. She was angry because Hunter dared to deny her a kiss.Â

“How do I look? Do you think buying it for me is worth it?” Hera asked. Hunter looked at her with his curious eyes. “You look beautiful, and you made the dress look more than it’s worth it,” he confessed without a hint of doubt. Hera grinned, nodding in appreciation.Â

“You were telling something about deleting my dress. I wanted to see if your opinion changes,” Hera said and gave him a single up-down eyebrow flash, a silent question. Hunter ran his tongue over his lips and looked thoughtful before replying. “You forgot the ‘I want to do bad things with you’ part,” he pointed out and snorted his laughter when Hera glared at him in displeasure.Â

“You always look beautiful. You don’t need pretty or fancy clothes to prove it, Goddess,” Hunter stated in all seriousness. ρꪖꪕᦔꪖꪕꪫꪣꫀꪶ

Meanwhile, Hera gave him a deer caught in headlights look.Â

‘Oh, my! Why do I even mess with this manipulative genius? He always knows what to say.’

Hunter snapped his fingers, and Hera blinked in surprise, coming out of her thoughts.Â

“Though the dress looks hot on you, I would still prefer deleting it. I bet you would look far more beautiful without it,” Hunter said and winked at her. Picking a single rose from the bouquet, Hera threw it at him. “Of course you would want me naked,” she said, scowling at him. Hunter’s amused chuckle filled the room. Hera pretended anger and looked away from him.Â

“Awe, don’t be shy, Goddess. It’s only me. You don’t have to feel embarrassed. If it still makes you uncomfortable, you can always wear me on your naked body. I would look good on you,” he stated, his arrogant tone held pride. Hera sighed in annoyance. “You’re risking your life right now, Hunter,” she threatened but couldn’t tame the laughter that followed when he laughed in joy.Â

Hera couldn’t help. His laughter had always been contagious.Â

Hunter beckoned her to come near, and she followed the command willingly.Â

“So, do I look good enough for you to kiss?” Hera asked, fluttering her eyelashes at him. Hunter smiled, winking at her. “You look good enough to worship both emotionally and romantically. I’m currently sexually destroying you in my head,” Hunter said, shooting her another wink. Hera bit her lip and stared at him incredulously. Scooting over, she created distance between them again.Â

“Oh, God! You’re such a perverted jerk of a husband,” Hera said, mocking disgust on her face. “Not my fault when my wife keeps attempting to seduce me. I’m so helpless because you’re always so fucking sexy,” he said accusingly.Â

“Seriously, shut up, Hunter,” Hera commanded.Â

Pretending to ignore Hunter, she took a bite from the chocolate bar and grabbed the box to keep the dress back in it.Â

“You’ve seen the dress already. The groom is not supposed to see it until the wedding. It brings bad luck. So, I’m not going to wear it tomorrow,” Hera said in a defined tone. Hunter rolled his eyes at that. “Who is teaching you all this nonsense? We haven’t followed this rule before. Why now?” He asked in a ridiculing tone. Hera gave him an unimpressed look.Â

“I was a kid then, so I didn’t know about the traditions. Now we are grownups, and I want to do it in the right way,” she said, her tone firm, daring him to disagree. Hunter scowled and shook his head, but before he could say something against her beliefs, Hera spoke, warning him.Â

“Do you want to die today?” She asked, gritting her teeth.Â

Pursing his lips, Hunter shook his head and gestured to her to open other gifts.Â

Hera again started from the smaller gift box. She opened it to reveal the latest model of the Apple iPhone. Hunter watched every emotion expressed on her face while Hera gaped at the gift in her hands. Her eyes widened to their full size, and she grinned wide before looking at Hunter.Â

“Whoa! Is it for me?” She asked excitedly.Â

“What do you think? Why are you so stupid, Hera Hunter? The last time I checked, it wasn’t my birthday today. Since it’s your birthday, it’s for you, I guess,” Hunter said, shrugging his shoulders. Hera giggled and pinched his nipple in retaliation. Hunter groaned and swatted her hand away. “This is not how you express gratitude,” he said in a disapproving tone.Â

Hera smiled sweetly at him.Â

She closed the distance and walked to him. Kneeling in front of him, she took his hands in hers. The purest form of a smile that never failed to capture his heart played on her lips. She looked at him with so much love and affection.Â

Hunter’s heart skipped a beat.Â

Her eyes were like a galaxy holding all the stars, moon and sun. He could get lost in them forever.Â

“Thank you, Hunter, for lighting these many candles and bringing all the brightness into my life. I loved the fragrance too. It’s so lovely and soothing. Thank you for all the orchids and roses. They are as gorgeous as you are. Thank you for the sweets and for filling my heart with so much happiness,” Hera said, thanking him sincerely.Â

Hunter slid down from the sofa and joined her on the floor. Cupping her face in his hands, he wiped her tears. “Let them be. They are happy tears,” she said. Hunter smiled, bringing their foreheads together. Hera didn’t miss when tears escaped his eyes. “You don’t have to thank me for anything, Goddess. It’s all yours,” he declared.Â
