Chapter 351 - Adur
Chapter 351 – Adur
Chapter 351: Adur
'World Eater… What is that thing actually?' He couldn't help but flip the pages to see any other portraits.
Noticing his action, the crimson-haired kid shook his head and responded.
"There are no descriptions about the World Eater in this book."
Meanwhile, Charles gave Casper a suspicious look and asked.
"You can read?"
On the other hand, Casper turned around and started to speak.
"Yes. Although I can't see, I can feel the characters. The Red Humans uses some special ink to write. This Ink is denser than any ordinary ink, and the characters written using this Ink appear more like carvings. So, it's easy for me to read the characters by touching them. I've been reading like this for the last five millenniums." He paused for a moment and then started talking about the World Eater.
"The arrival of the World Eater was a historical event for all the races. The survivors of the great cataclysm said that the whole world plunged into eternal darkness for twelve days. The five Guardian Deities were the only ones who managed to keep their visions from the eternal darkness and tried to find out the root problem."
"And, the Guardian Deities told the survivors that they had battled against some terrifying monster. All their divine spells and other innate bloodline spells went useless against that thing. Anything that touched the monster became nothingness. No, I heard that Guardian Deities' Forbidden Level spells manage to do some harm, though. Unfortunately, no one witnessed that battle."
"In the end, all those five Guardian Deities managed to break the eternal darkness and gave a new light to this world. As for whether they manage to eliminate this World Eater or not, no one knows. But the Dragon God suddenly disappeared from the world after returning. But before its disappearance, the Red Dragon blessed all of its bloodline descendants and removed most of their bloodline shackles."
"It boosted their bloodline to grow faster and surpass its peak level one day. That's why the Red Dragons, Drakes, and other lizard creatures are growing in large numbers than the rest of the Fire-Elemental Creatures. Meanwhile, the remaining four Guardian Deities didn't utter a word about the battle and prepared for something. They first separated a portion of their blood essence and gave them to Humans and other four races."
"The Sun Lord gave a portion of its blood essence to Giants and Orcs, the Fire Bird gave a portion of its blood essence to Humans, the Mother Earth Fairy gave a portion of its blood essence to Golems, and the Basilisk gave a portion of its blood essence to the Goblins. They then cast some forbidden spell and changed their races into completely new ones."
"The Humans turned into Red Humans, the Giants and Orcs turned into Lava Orcs and Lava Giants, the Golems turned into Ember Golems, and finally the Goblins turned into Night Goblins. As long as they possess extraordinary fire affinity, these newly created races could break the bloodline shackles one day and become Demi-God Level Existences."
"That's the Guardian Deities' last present for the five races. They helped the Humans and others races and created a future for them to walk on the path of Warlocks. They then separated a portion of their divinities, presented them to the Humans and other races' leaders for protection, and finally became one with the Fire Elemental Plane."
"Became one with the Fire Elemental Plane? What do you mean?" Charles became stunned by the history and asked in surprise.
Meanwhile, the blind kid went silent for a moment, pointed his finger towards the outside, and asked.
"Do you see that large black dungeon at the center of this city? That's Fire Bird's Divine Kingdom. After Fire Bird gave its divinity to the Human Leader, it created this dungeon and placed its Divine Kingdom, its remaining portion of Divinities, and even Divine Organs in it. The 'Heart' you are searching for is also hidden somewhere in that dungeon. It's the Fire Bird's heart. Like the Fire Bird, the other three Guardian Deities also created similar dungeons and placed them at the center of other cities for giving the final hope for the five races."
Upon hearing those words, Charles's eyes widened.
He soon nodded his head, thought of something, and asked an important question.
"Then, who are you?"
"That… I'm also a little confused about my origin. But I do have some speculations. The remanent memories in my head are most likely the Dragon God's memories. Although I look more like a normal Red Human, I have an endless amount of vitality. It might be the reason for my immortality. To put it more simply, I might be the reincarnation of the Dragon God. That may be the reason I knew more about this world than the rest of the creatures. I know how the Guardian Deities created these dungeons, what are the secrets hidden in there, and so on."
Upon hearing those words, Charles nodded his head in understanding and then fell into deep thoughts.
'So, he is the Red Dragon's reincarnation, huh. That explains why he has broken attributes and an abnormal age. Although this kid looks harmless on the outside, he is a real deal. Thankfully, he isn't hostile towards me.' He muttered under his breath and asked the following question.
"How strong is Adur?"
That was his most important worry.
If Adur was a Rank-6 Warlock, he had no choice but to back away.
Currently, he wasn't even strong enough to face a Rank-5 Warlock.
So, going against a Rank-6 Warlock would be a suicidal idea!
On the other hand, Casper went silent for a few seconds and spoke in a cold tone.
"I feel malice intention from your thoughts, foreigner. If you promise me not to harm the Red Humans in the name of 'Fire Bird,' I will tell you more about Adur."
Meanwhile, Charles got stunned by the Red Human kid's words and nodded after some thoughts.
'In truth, I don't care whether these people live or die.'
As long as he gets the Fire Bird's heart, he would leave this Fire-Elemental Plane and change his Destiny.
Once he did that, he would go into hiding for a few more years and prepare for participating in the planar invasion of Abyss.
Shaking his head, he made an oath in the name of Fire Bird under Casper's guidance and promised him that he wouldn't cause any genocide.
But he told Casper that he would cause some damage to Red Humans, but it would be minimal.
Casper also knew that casualties would be unavoidable if a large-scale battle occurs; so, he agreed.
Once the oath ceremony was over, Casper nodded his head in approval and explained.
"In truth, many Red Humans and the Paragons are dissatisfied by the current Red Human head. Twenty years ago, many high-rank Paragons opposed Adur, told him to give up on the leader seat, and even requested him to give up the Divinities to the new champion. Unfortunately, Adur refused to give up."
"Champion?" Charles furrowed his brows and asked.
Meanwhile, Casper nodded his head and gave him a detailed explanation.
"Every ten years, the Paragons would conduct a large-scale test on all Red Humans and search for possible candidates with pure bloodline. Those who have more than 90% pure bloodline of the Red Bird would be called Champions. If such a person appears, he will become the next leader of the Red Humans. But something changed twenty years ago."
"When the Paragons found a young boy with 92% pure bloodline, they requested Adur to give back the divinities to the next generation champion. But not only did he refuse their request; he even sent assassins after the newborn champion and killed the small kid. His action angered all the Paragons. In anger and dissatisfaction, a few Rank-5 Paragons united together and went to battle him."
"Unfortunately, Adur was too strong for them. He crushed all the Rank-5 rebellion Paragons and even executed them publicly in the name of treason. Although Adur is a Rank-5 Warlock, he has the Fire Bird's Divinities. As long as these Red Humans worship him, he will get an endless amount of Divine Power from them and overwhelm any normal Rank-5 Warlocks in seconds."
Saying so, Casper tapped the floor using the black stick and started walking back to the table.
On the other hand, Charles closed the golden-covered book, placed it on the shelf, and walked back towards the nearby table.
But he couldn't help but take a look at the naive-looking kid with a surprised expression on his face.
"The reason you asked me to do an oath in the name of Fire Bird… You feared that I would massacre the whole city to weaken Adur?" He chuckled.
"You wouldn't?" The Red Human kid sat on the chair and asked while tilting his head.
Meanwhile, Charles shook his head and answered.
"No, I wouldn't hesitate to massacre the Red Humans in this city. But that would be my final option. After all, there are many ways to weaken one's belief. Hmm, it seems I've to go back and make preparations now. Time is ticking."
As he spoke, he stood up from his seat and started to walk towards the opposite staircase.
